Dominik Mysterio just threw some serious shade at CM Punk, mocking his 2024 Royal Rumble injury in a way only “Dirty Dom” could.

In the latest episode of WWE Playback, superstars reacted to moments from last year’s Men’s Royal Rumble, including Punk’s triceps tear that sidelined him for months. When the clip rolled, Mysterio wasted no time taking a shot at the former WWE Champion.

“A 47-year-old man tore his tricep. Oh wow, gee, I wonder why?” Mysterio said sarcastically. “Man hasn’t wrestled in 35 years, comes back for the first time, tears his tricep. Gee wiz, I wonder why.”

Punk’s injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble was a major setback, but he made his return at SummerSlam and is now locked in for the 2025 Royal Rumble this weekend. While Punk has his eyes set on a major WrestleMania moment, Mysterio is out here reminding everyone of his past misfortune.

Whether Punk will respond remains to be seen, but he’s never been one to let trash talk go unanswered. With the Royal Rumble just days away, it wouldn’t be surprising if Punk addresses Mysterio’s comments—or makes him regret them in the ring.
