CM Punk is dropping into NXT this weekend. Punk revealed on Instagram Stories that he will appear at the NXT live event on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the VSU Multipurpose Center in Petersburg, Virginia, giving the house show a major boost.
WWE has not revealed exactly what Punk will be doing at the event, but he joins a card featuring NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey, Jaida Parker, Grayson Waller, Shiloh Hill, NXT North American Champion Myles Borne and Tavion Heights.
The Petersburg show will mark the first time NXT has run the VSU Multipurpose Center, although WWE has held live events in the building before. NXT is also running a live event one night earlier in Salisbury, Maryland, but Punk is not advertised for that show. As things stand, his August 15 appearance is tied specifically to the Petersburg event.
Punk showing up at an NXT house show gives fans something extra beyond the usual live event lineup, and now the question is what WWE actually has planned for him once he gets there.
