CM Punk’s history with Saudi Arabia is well known thanks to his infamous “blood covered d***” remark to the Miz back in 2020. However, it now appears that Punk has finally apologized for the tweet at the Night of Champions kickoff show.

While speaking during the Night of Champions kickoff show, CM Punk talked about the old tweet he wrote six years ago that upset some people, including fans in Saudi Arabia. He said the tweet wasn’t about Saudi Arabia at all.

Punk said he was just in a bad mood that morning and posted a mean comment about The Miz. Punk said he already said sorry to The Miz, and now he also wants to say sorry to a man named Muhammad and to everyone in Saudi Arabia for any hurt feelings the tweet may have caused.

“This guy wants me to apologize for a mean tweet I wrote six years ago. Hey, listen—legitimately, it had nothing to do with Saudi Arabia. I woke up and I was crabby, and I wrote a mean tweet to The Miz. I apologized to The Miz, and sir, Muhammad, I sincerely apologize to you and all of Saudi Arabia.”

This is obviously a huge deal for people in Saudi Arabia since they were offended by CM Punk’s tweet for so many years. Now that Punk has apologized, everyone has finally moved on from all the drama and now Punk can focus on his match against John Cena at Night of Champions.
