Club WWE is officially open, and WWE has finally revealed what “founding members” are getting for that $99 annual fee.
The early preview launched Friday, giving the first wave of subscribers access before the full Club WWE rollout begins on July 31. The biggest perk is the founding member kit. WWE says the package includes a match-used ring canvas acrylic collectible, an exclusive lanyard and a founder pin with a personal message from John Cena.
“Every Founding Member receives an exclusive kit including a match-used ring canvas acrylic collectible, a Club WWE exclusive lanyard, and a Founder pin with a personal note to members from John Cena. A value of $99 on day one.”
WWE is basically saying the welcome package alone is worth the full cost of the first year. Founding members will also receive bonus reward points immediately.
“Founding Members earn bonus points from day one to get a head start on rewards.”
The membership includes exclusive videos, backstage footage, Superstar shows, interviews and extended wrestling content that will not be available anywhere else.
“Backstage moments, Superstar shows, interview exclusives, and extended wrestling content you can’t find anywhere else.”
A new John Cena interview with Tom Rinaldi is already included in the preview. Members will also get an early look at the Club WWE website and digital experience before the finished version launches.
“Be a part of the first group of fans to explore the Club WWE digital experience before the full launch. See what membership looks like and what is coming next.”
There is also a SummerSlam ticket offer for founding members, although WWE has not revealed the seats, prices or exact details yet.
“Founding Members get an exclusive ticket offer for SummerSlam. More details to come.”
Club WWE also promises ticket presales, exclusive merchandise, a community forum and a points-based rewards system. John Cena has been attached to the project from the beginning, so WWE is clearly using his name to make the founding membership feel like a bigger deal. The real test will come after July 31, when the full service launches and fans see how much exclusive content and access WWE actually delivers.
