CJ Perry and Miro may be back together now, but their emotional scars from a real-life divorce still linger—and they didn’t hold back when telling their side of the story. While the couple has since renewed their vows, Perry made it very clear she hasn’t forgotten who filed first—on her birthday.
During their appearance on Identity Crisis, Perry accused Miro of trying to one-up her by rushing the divorce process. She said she found the proof in his email, claiming he wanted to beat her to it—literally overnight.
“It was so on my birthday. He tried to overnight the divorce papers. I’m not even kidding. He literally tried to make sure they got there. Yes! Yes! Because he thought I was filing it too.”
Miro didn’t deny the urgency, even joking about contacting FedEx to make sure the papers were delivered before her big day.
“I called FedEx. I’m like, ‘Hey, I know you guys are off, but can you send the extra guy right now? I know she’s there. Please do it. Tomorrow is your birthday for God’s sake.’”
Perry added that she discovered the email while using their shared computer.
“His email happened to be up… I see March 22nd. The attorney had responded to ask him something, and he’s like, ‘Okay, let me try to overnight it so I can beat her to the punch.’ I swear. And I was reading this and I was like—he wants to beat me to the punch for our marriage?”
Miro tried to play it off with a joke about a “right hook,” but the moment clearly struck a nerve. When asked if either of them dated during their split, Miro admitted he tested the waters.
“I went on a few dates, yeah… I just wanted to see what kind of a conversation I can have with another female. It doesn’t have to be sleeping or anything like that. I just wanted to talk.”
The couple’s divorce in 2024 wasn’t part of any wrestling angle—it was real. They spent a full year apart before reconciling. Now with Miro back in WWE, fans are already speculating whether Perry might follow.
