Chelsea Green has officially confirmed she will not be appearing on this week’s WWE SmackDown as she continues recovering from her recent heart procedure — but she’s still managing to keep things completely on-brand during recovery.

After spending the past week updating fans on her surgery for SVT (supraventricular tachycardia), Green took to Twitter on May 8, 2026 to reveal that doctors currently still have her on bed rest. Alongside a photo of herself recovering in bed, Green jokingly addressed missing SmackDown and made it clear she was still supporting Tiffany Stratton from afar.

“As per doctors orders, I’m currently on bed rest. Missing #SmackDown will absolutely devastate my PatriHOTS, but don’t worry I made sure to contact Tiffany Stratton so she knows I’m supporting her in spirit.”

Green then joked that Stratton never actually picked up the phone: “She didn’t answer, so naturally I left a voicemail.” The rest of the post leaned fully into Chelsea Green’s over-the-top personality as she described her current recovery setup.

“I’m currently recovering with: • overflowing bouquets • emotional support blankets • a bedazzled hydration vessel • pink absolutely everywhere • one freshly repaired heart & zero intention of lifting a finger.”

She finished the update with one final line confirming that while she may still be healing physically, her personality definitely hasn’t changed: “Heart repaired. Chicness intact.” This comes just days after Green revealed details about the procedure itself, including that doctors worked on her for three hours and required her to stay awake during the final hour of surgery.

She also recently admitted recovery has come with lingering effects physically, saying her “heart feels heavy” and that her breathing has still felt “interesting” while healing. Even with all of that, Green already admitted during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio that she has already started pitching creative ideas to WWE while recovering at home.

So while Chelsea Green may be temporarily sidelined from Friday Night SmackDown, it doesn’t sound like she plans on staying away from WWE for very long.

Do you think Chelsea Green has become one of WWE’s most entertaining personalities over the past year, or do you want to see her return in a bigger in-ring role once she’s fully recovered? Leave your thoughts and feedback below.
