Charlotte Flair is the kind of WWE Superstar who has jumped from heel to babyface a couple of times, and she remained a top name in whatever storyline she was in. Right now, her frenemies’ relationship with Alexa Bliss has brought her into full-on friendship and babyface mode. That change is always worth discussing.
The Queen says fans may view her heel character differently when she eventually makes the move back to that role. This is something that we continue seeing play out on a weekly basis.
Over the last year, Charlotte Flair has been featured as a babyface and has regularly teamed with Alexa Bliss. The change marked a shift from the character many fans had seen for much of her WWE career.
During an interview with Ring The Belle, Flair discussed the possibility of returning to her heel persona in the future. She believes the time away from that role could make the transition mean more to fans.
“This is what I’ll say, when I do go back to being bad, I think it’ll just be appreciated more by the people that couldn’t understand or didn’t appreciate the being bad. You’ll have got your fix of this and then when I do go back bad and whatever that looks like, when… maybe it’ll just have a bigger impact.”
Charlotte Flair suggested that fans have had the chance to see a different side of her character. Because of that, she feels a return to being a villain could connect in a different way than it did before.
Some fans may be waiting on Charlotte Flair to jump back to a heel role, but that would take the implosion of her tag team. Only time will tell when or if that happens. After all, many fans are still surprised that Flair and Alexa Bliss are still a tag team.
