Call for MJF & Hangman Page to Join WWE and Learn Wrestling “The Correct Way”

AEW has quite a few homegrown talent who have become stars on their own, which undoubtedly includes MJF and Adam Page. The two have been feuding for a while, and now it appears some want them to join WWE in order to learn professional wrestling the correct way and become stars.

The March 12 episode of AEW Dynamite continued MJF and Adam Page’s feud as they had an intense backstage segment. After their backstage segment aired, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray took to Twitter and talked about the backstage segment.

Ray stated that he enjoyed the interaction but believed both wrestlers should go to WWE so that they can learn professional wrestling the correct way and become stars, saying, “Really enjoyed the backstage w/ MJF and Hangman. Cant wait till, one day, both of them go to WWE, learn the correct way and become stars.”

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray talked about MJF and Hangman Page’s match at AEW Revolution and had issues with how it played out. He didn’t like that Hangman took a Tombstone Piledriver on a chair but still got up and won the match. To him, that made the match feel less real and went against what he believes wrestling should be.

“I will not be speaking about Hangman Page and MJF. I love MJF to death. I am a big Max fan, both personally and professionally… But I refuse to review a match… in which a Tombstone Piledriver on the top of a chair is used in a match, only for the guy who took the move to get back in the ring and win the match. To me, it is completely uncalled for and it does not fly with me… It goes against everything I believe in professional wrestling.”

MJF previously claimed that he would have become the WWE Champion had he ended up jumping ship instead of staying with AEW. Of course, quite a few fans also share Bully Ray’s sentiments, as they believe MJF would thrive in WWE.

Bully Ray’s comments have reignited the debate over AEW’s booking style and whether MJF and Hangman Page would benefit from WWE’s system. While AEW has helped both become top stars, some feel they could achieve even greater success in WWE.
