Buff Bagwell made a powerful entrance at Memphis Wrestling this weekend—his first since undergoing a leg amputation in July. Walking out on crutches to a warm reception, the former WCW star didn’t miss a beat as he addressed the crowd and backed his former tag team partner.
Bagwell made it clear he’s still invested in the business, announcing he’d be in the corner of Big John Dalton and K-Toomer as they chased the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships. The moment carried added weight, given that Bagwell and Dalton once held the tag titles together.
Despite having his right leg amputated just weeks ago, Bagwell’s attitude hasn’t changed. He remains focused on one goal—returning to the ring.
“I want to get back in the ring, run the ropes, have a match. It’ll show that I came out of the darkness with this thing and I turned it around all the way to be back in the ring as Buff Bagwell,” he said in July.
Bagwell’s message wasn’t just about wrestling—it was about resilience.
“You don’t have to give up with something like this. I’m taking it by the horns and showing that you can have just as good of a life without a leg.”
His last match took place in April 2024 in Memphis Wrestling, teaming once again with Big John Dalton. Now, even with new physical challenges, Buff Bagwell’s love for wrestling—and his determination—remains unchanged.
Buff’s return proves he’s not done yet, and fans might still see him back between the ropes someday soon.
