Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor are the new AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions after taking down Divine Dominion at All In London. The Brawling Birds survived a brutal fight with Megan Bayne and Lena Kross before finally putting the champions away to leave Wembley with the titles.
Divine Dominion immediately showed why they came into the match as champions. Bayne overpowered Hayter early before Windsor tagged in and helped Hayter briefly turn things around against both opponents.
That didn’t last long. Kross drove Windsor face-first into the ring apron before dropping her with a huge suplex onto the floor, while Bayne and Kross continued the punishment by sending her back-first into the barricade.
Bayne then caught Hayter with a massive spear and kept her trapped in the champions’ corner. She even choked Hayter with her boot against the top rope before tagging Kross back in to continue the beating.
Hayter eventually tried fighting her way out, only to get caught in the ropes and dumped with a German suplex. Divine Dominion continued working her over until Hayter finally connected with a clothesline and managed to get Windsor back into the match.
Windsor came in firing. She traded shots with Kross before dropping her with a big lariat, then turned her attention toward Bayne with a series of chops and a shotgun dropkick. Windsor followed with a back suplex for two, but Divine Dominion quickly responded. Kross and Bayne unloaded with elbows and kicks before finishing the sequence with a German suplex, only for Hayter to break up the pin.
Things then started getting messy for the champions. A moment of miscommunication saw Bayne accidentally hit Kross, giving the Brawling Birds another opening. Both teams started throwing German suplexes at each other before Hayter and Windsor connected with matching lariats that left all four women down.
Bayne recovered with another lariat before Windsor cracked her with a headbutt. The Brawling Birds then somehow managed to get Bayne up for a huge superplex, and Hayter followed with a running knee strike for a close two-count.
Bayne still wasn’t finished. She caught both challengers and delivered a double German suplex, while Hayter answered with a DDT. Divine Dominion initially shrugged it off, forcing Hayter to simply start throwing fists and keep fighting.
The champions eventually connected with their finisher and appeared to have the match won, but Windsor pulled Kross out of the ring to break things up. That ended up being the opening the Brawling Birds needed.
Hayter dropped Kross with a backbreaker before she and Windsor unloaded with lariats. The two then connected with their finisher and finally got the three-count, ending Divine Dominion’s reign and becoming the new AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.
Hayter and Windsor had to survive just about everything Divine Dominion could throw at them to get there. By the time everyone stopped throwing Germans and lariats around Wembley, the Brawling Birds were the ones left standing with championship gold.
