WWE just loaded up the August 21 episode of SmackDown with three more additions, including Blake Monroe’s first match as a full-time main roster star.
WWE announced that Monroe will make her main roster in-ring debut against Giulia. Monroe has already started making her presence felt on SmackDown, but Friday night will mark her first official match since making the jump.
The WWE Tag Team Championships will also be on the line, with Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga defending against Damian Priest and R-Truth. Tama and Talla captured the titles last week by defeating Priest and Truth along with The Viking Raiders in a Triple Threat Match. The former champions won’t have to wait long for another shot, as they’ll get their rematch just seven days later.
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are also scheduled to appear after their issues exploded last week and prevented Cody’s planned match with Sami Zayn from ever getting started. That gives SmackDown an even bigger card, headlined by CM Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
The current WWE SmackDown lineup for August 21 is:
- Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Kevin Owens
- Giulia vs. Blake Monroe
- WWE Tag Team Championships: MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) (c) vs. Damian Priest & R-Truth
- Cody Rhodes to appear
- Randy Orton to appear
Between Monroe’s main roster debut, another WWE Tag Team Title match and Punk putting the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Owens, WWE has plenty lined up for Friday night.
