Je’Von Evans beat JD McDonagh on the August 17 episode of WWE RAW, but Big Cass made sure the “Young OG” didn’t get to enjoy it. Cass stormed in after the bell and beat the hell out of Evans — marking the third time he’s gone after him.
Evans had already been through a fight with McDonagh, dealing with Dominik Mysterio getting involved and working through an injured left knee before finally putting JD away with the OG Cutter.
Then Cass showed up. He blindsided Evans from behind, crushed him with a clothesline and started ragdolling him around the ring before planting him with the East River Crossing. Cass looked satisfied and started walking away, but Evans grabbed a microphone and gave him a reason to come right back.
“Is that all you got?”
Evans clearly wasn’t interested in staying down. When Cass stepped back onto the apron, Evans launched himself through the ropes with a suicide dive and took the fight outside. That comeback didn’t last long. Dominik jumped back into the mess and sent Evans crashing into the ring post, leaving him battered after already surviving both McDonagh and Cass. Cass then continued to beat him down more.
The bigger story is that this has become a pattern. Cass has now attacked Evans three separate times, and the August 17 WWE RAW beatdown was the latest sign that he has no plans to leave him alone. Evans keeps getting back up, but Cass keeps coming back to put him down. After three attacks, this has gone way beyond one cheap shot after a match.
