Bayley is opening up in detail after being abruptly pulled from her scheduled tag match at WrestleMania 41 after a backstage attack—and she isn’t sugarcoating how it felt.

During an emotional episode of Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, Bayley revealed the moment she was told she’d been removed from the card just one day before the big event. The decision hit hard, especially after weeks of building a new storyline and chemistry with partner Lyra Valkyria.

“It was brutal. They took me out the day before WrestleMania 41. It’s a test. I feel like every time I get thrown stuff, it’s like I’m just being tested. Not by the company… by the universe and the world.”

Bayley described the whole situation as “bittersweet.” While she was genuinely happy for Valkyria’s WrestleMania moment, losing out on her own was a tough pill to swallow.

“It was rough. It was bittersweet. I became really close with Lyra Valkyria in real life, so I was super excited for her to have her first WrestleMania. But it was also like, ‘Man, I was told where we were going.’”

Initially skeptical about being paired with someone she didn’t know well, Bayley said the two gradually developed in-ring chemistry and a genuine connection.

“Okay, I’m gonna be in this tag team storyline with a girl I don’t know… I said, ‘Don’t you think that’s kinda strange? Like, you’re the Intercontinental Champion and we don’t even know each other.’

We had a tag team gauntlet match to get to WrestleMania. It was five matches. I’m like, wow, we’re a good team. I genuinely felt connected with her.

So when the rug was pulled out, it wasn’t just the missed WrestleMania opportunity that hurt—it was the loss of everything they had built.

Then, when I was told what was happening, I was like, ‘Oh, now I’m bummed.’ For one, I’m not at WrestleMania. For two, I put all this work in and really tried to make us look like a team—to make it believable.”

Despite the disappointment, Bayley found a silver lining knowing it eventually became part of a larger storyline. She also opened up about leaning on friends during the emotional fallout.

“It was very rough. But it becoming part of a storyline and it becoming what it is now made it a little nice… It’s definitely one of those times where I had a long conversation with CM Punk about it. A lot of people reached out. Everyone’s been in this position, but yeah… I don’t know. Sigh.”

Triple H had publicly reassured fans after her removal, calling Bayley a “true pro” and saying “Don’t worry, guys, Bayley will be just fine.” But now we know the full emotional cost behind the scenes.

Bayley may not have made it to the ring at WrestleMania 41, but her resilience, honesty, and raw emotion show exactly why fans love her—and why she’ll always be one of WWE’s most trusted stars.

What do you think about WWE’s decision to pull Bayley last minute? Do you think the storyline payoff was worth it—or was she robbed of a well-earned WrestleMania moment? Sound off in the comments below—we want to hear your thoughts.
