Baron Corbin has now personally reacted to the growing speculation surrounding a possible WWE return — and he clearly had some fun mocking the reports.
Over the past several days, multiple reports suggested Corbin could be heading back to World Wrestling Entertainment after wrapping up commitments with outside promotions following his 2024 departure from the company.
Fightful reported that Corbin had finished obligations with several companies he had been regularly working for, including Major League Wrestling, where he teamed with Donovan Dijak as The Skyscrapers.
At the same time, Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that discussions about bringing Corbin back to WWE had definitely taken place.
“I’ve not heard a done deal, but I know it’s been talked about, yes. I just know that he’s been talked with about being brought in. It might even be done but I haven’t had officially confirmed to me it’s done, but I have 100% been confirmed it’s been heavily talked about.”
Now Corbin himself has weighed in. Taking to Twitter, Corbin sarcastically responded to the reports while joking that apparently somebody else must secretly be controlling his schedule. He then continued mocking the idea that he had quietly wrapped up with several promotions already.
“I accepted 8 shows in Europe. My eye is still swollen from Australia. I also didn’t know i was done with some of these companies. Who ever is making my schedule needs to let me know this shit. I thought it was me but apparently it’s not.”
The response immediately got attention because it neither fully denied nor confirmed the WWE speculation, while also poking fun at how quickly reports about his future have spread throughout wrestling media.
Corbin originally left WWE in November 2024 after more than a decade with the company. During that time, he worked under several different personas, including King Corbin, Happy Corbin, and Constable Corbin.
At this point, despite Corbin joking about the reports publicly, the belief within wrestling circles still appears to be that a WWE comeback remains very possible in the near future.
