Austin Creed isn’t letting one championship loss slow down The New Level. After losing the AEW World Trios Championships at WrestleDream, Creed made it clear that the group’s run together is only getting started.
Creed took to Twitter following the October 17 pay-per-view and reacted to the defeat with a short message. Rather than dwelling on what went wrong, he suggested fans haven’t seen nearly everything the group has planned.
“They got us last night. But we are just getting started…”
The message came after Creed, Kofi and Swerve Strickland dropped the AEW World Trios Championships to Hangman Adam Page, Brody King and Bandido in a Two-Out-of-Three Falls Match. The New Level actually grabbed the first fall before the challengers fought their way back into the match.
Bandido eventually secured the second fall with a low 450 splash on Strickland, setting up a chaotic final stretch. The deciding fall came when Strickland attempted Big Pressure, only for Bandido to counter the move into a pin and bring the titles back to Page and Brodido.
Strickland clearly wasn’t interested in taking the loss quietly. After the match, he refused to hand over his championship belt and instead dropped it onto the canvas before walking away while the new champions celebrated.
Creed’s reaction was much calmer, but his message could be just as important for what comes next. Saying The New Level is “just getting started” makes it clear that losing the championships isn’t being treated as the end of the group.
The trio had captured the championships from Page and Brodido at All In London before losing them back at WrestleDream. Now that the belts are gone, Creed seems ready to move forward rather than treat the defeat as the end of their story.
