Anthony Henry is facing another rough setback, and this one sounds especially serious.
Henry revealed on X that he will need neck surgery after doctors found a herniated disc pressing directly on his spinal cord. The WorkHorsemen member admitted the situation is scary and said his recovery could keep him out anywhere from three to six months. Henry explained that he has not been very active online lately, but wanted fans of both himself and the WorkHorsemen to know what is going on. Henry then revealed why the injury is more concerning than a typical disc issue.
“I haven’t been active on here, but I at least wanted to give any fans of myself or the #Workhorsemen an update. My neck is kinda screwed. I will need surgery.”
“The herniated disc is on the spinal cord itself, which makes this even more scary.”
As for when he could be back, Henry said there is a pretty wide window depending on how the recovery process goes.
“Recovery is anywhere from 3-6 months.”
That means Henry is now staring at a lengthy stretch on the sidelines while he undergoes surgery and works his way back. Given the location of the injury, the focus will clearly be on getting through the procedure safely before anyone starts thinking about an in-ring return.
Henry has been one half of the WorkHorsemen alongside JD Drake, and this latest injury puts another pause on his wrestling run at a time when staying healthy has already been a major battle.
For now, Anthony Henry’s immediate priority is getting through neck surgery and making sure the spinal issue is properly addressed. A three-to-six-month timetable is significant, but with an injury involving the spinal cord, getting back in the ring safely matters a whole lot more than rushing the clock.
