Angel Garza apparently had something to get off his chest Sunday morning — and wrestling fans caught the stray.
The WWE star jumped on social media on August 23 with a seemingly unprovoked blast aimed at people who think they know how wrestling stories should be written. No quote tweet. No argument. No specific fan singled out. Garza just hit send and basically told armchair bookers they’d be terrible at the job. His problem? Fans wanting everything to happen immediately instead of letting a storyline actually build.
“You all would SUCK as writers 🤣🤣🤣 Wanting everything in one show, no story, just going straight to the climax and finishing it 🤣🤣 That’s why you don’t work on this. Keep your ass at home and stay tuned 😉😘”
Yeah, he went there. What exactly set him off is anybody’s guess. Garza didn’t explain what storyline he was talking about, and he wasn’t responding directly to somebody when he posted it. He just seemed fed up with the idea that every angle needs to hit the finish line immediately. And his message to the fantasy bookers was brutal — there’s a reason you’re watching from the couch instead of writing the show.
Fans picking apart WWE creative is nothing new. Every match, turn, push and storyline gets dissected online within seconds. Garza clearly thinks some people need to stop trying to book the ending before the story even gets going.
Whether fans agree with him or not, Garza certainly found one way to get everybody’s attention. Calling wrestling fans terrible writers out of nowhere is pretty much guaranteed to start a fight online.
Do you think Angel Garza had a point when he said fans would “SUCK” as wrestling writers, or did he go too far with the shot? Leave your feedback and let us know what you think.
