Andrade El Ídolo is officially next in line for the AEW World Championship. After entering the Casino Gauntlet from the No. 1 position at All In London, Andrade survived a loaded field and pinned Nick Wayne to earn a guaranteed title match against the winner of Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay.
Andrade had to start the match against MJF, and MJF wasted no time being MJF. He took control and taunted Andrade with a disrespectful crotch gesture before looking for the Heatseeker, only for Andrade to counter and give MJF some of his own treatment.
Nick Wayne entered third and quickly found himself talking business with MJF. MJF tried convincing Wayne they should work together, even telling him, “I swear on my life,” before the two teamed up to beat Andrade down in the corner. “Speedball” Mike Bailey arrived next and immediately changed the pace. Bailey unloaded with rapid-fire kicks and an enzuigiri on Wayne before launching himself to the outside with a huge Sky Twister.
Andrade and Bailey then took flight together, hitting separate moonsaults from the top rope onto MJF and Wayne on the outside. Tommaso Ciampa entered fifth, but he barely had time to enjoy his entrance before Chris Jericho arrived next. Jericho dropped Ciampa on his way to the ring before punching his way through everyone as Wembley sang along with his entrance music.
Then came a familiar face-off. Jericho and MJF stared each other down after everything they’ve been through together in AEW. Jericho eventually caught MJF in the Walls of Jericho, but there were already more people coming.
Mark Davis entered and immediately started throwing bodies around. He took out Andrade and Jericho before planting Nick Wayne with a huge piledriver. MJF thought he had found a safe moment later in the match, only for Davis to catch him with another massive piledriver for a close two-count.
Komander joined the chaos next and immediately launched himself to the outside with a huge flip. Back inside, he caught Ciampa for another near fall. Místico then made his entrance, but Daniel Garcia wasn’t interested in waiting for him to get comfortable. Garcia attacked Místico during his entrance before officially joining the match himself.
Místico eventually found himself sharing a moment with Komander before MJF ruined it. Místico tried countering him, but MJF managed to plant him with a twisting piledriver. Bailey broke up the pin and then turned his attention toward Garcia and MJF. Speedball caught Garcia with his finisher across the spine before hitting MJF with a Spanish Fly for another two-count.
Jack Perry entered as No. 11 and immediately went after Davis and Garcia. Ciampa tried stopping him, but Perry countered and trapped him in the Snare Trap. Jericho then came flying back into the picture with a Judas Effect on MJF, but it still wasn’t enough to get the three-count. Wayne took Jericho out before dropping Perry with a Destroyer and later connecting with a Phoenix Splash onto Davis.
With bodies everywhere, Andrade finally found his opening. He blasted MJF with his signature elbow before turning his attention toward Wayne. Andrade put Wayne away and scored the three-count, ending a match he had been part of from the very beginning.
Starting at No. 1 meant Andrade had to survive every new name that walked through the curtain, and he somehow lasted longer than all of them. Now there’s only one question left for him: whether Kenny Omega or Will Ospreay will be holding the AEW World Championship when Andrade comes looking for his shot.
