AEW added another championship match to WrestleDream during Dynamite, and this one is going to need more than a single fall to settle.
Swerve Strickland and The New Level will defend the AEW World Trios Championship against Hangman Page and Brodido in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at AEW WrestleDream. The match was announced during AEW Dynamite, giving the October 17 card another major title bout.
Swerve and The New Level will now have to beat Hangman and Brodido twice if they want to leave WrestleDream with the titles still around their waists. The stipulation also gives AEW plenty of room to stretch the rivalry out over multiple falls instead of having everything come down to one pin.
Confirmed matches for AEW WrestleDream:
- AEW World Trios Championship — 2-out-of-3 Falls Match: Swerve Strickland & The New Level (c) vs. Hangman Page & Brodido
- AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Mark Davis
- Clockwork Carnage Match for the AEW World Championship: Samoa Joe qualified
AEW is quickly stacking up WrestleDream, and a 2-out-of-3 Falls Trios Title match gives the show another stipulation-heavy championship fight.
