AEW talent showed major support for Rebel during Double or Nothing following her heartbreaking ALS diagnosis.
Before the pay-per-view went live, Dustin Rhodes shared a photo on social media showing off a red wristband reading “#REBELHEART” while sending a message directly to Rebel.
“Love you @RebelTanea”
The support continued throughout the night as several AEW personalities were spotted wearing the wristbands on the show, including Mick Foley during his first-ever AEW appearance alongside Renee Paquette on the Buy In.
The emotional show of support comes after Rebel publicly revealed that she has been diagnosed with terminal ALS. AEW previously acknowledged her during Collision, where Tony Schiavone delivered an on-air message letting Rebel know the company was behind her. Rebel later thanked AEW and the locker room online for the support and kind messages she has received during such a difficult time.
Now Double or Nothing became another emotional moment as AEW talent visibly rallied around Rebel on one of the company’s biggest nights of the year. From Dustin Rhodes posting the wristbands before the show to Mick Foley wearing one during his AEW debut appearance, the message throughout the night was impossible to miss.
