AEW Dynamite Results (4/8/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Bryan Danielson welcoming us before we see Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay brawling in the parking lot. The Death Riders then find the pair and beat down Ospreay, but Alex Windsor and United Empire members Francesco Akira, Henare and Callum Newman pull up in a car to provide Ospreay with backup.

The two groups then begin brawling with one another, with Marina Shafir and Windsor brawling into the ringside area. Ospreay and Moxley then follow, with Moxley and Daniel Garcia delivering some stomps on Ospreay in the ring. Henare then clotheslines Garcia over the top rope as Moxley cinches in a sleeper on Ospreay, but Ospreay fights his way out of things. Ospreay then challenges The Death Riders to an 8-Man Chaos In Canada Match on behalf of the United Empire.

Don Callis then cuts a promo and says Kyle Fletcher’s injury threw a wrench in the plans. Callis then says he was planning to make Kyle Fletcher the longest-reigning AEW TNT Champion. Callis then says he wanted to fix a match involving the Young Bucks at AEW Dynasty, but that has also been canceled. Callis then says despite Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita not getting along, he runs the Don Callis family like a professional sports franchise and he actually likes the fact that they don’t get along. Callis then says following Kyle Fletcher vacating the TNT Title he made a match featuring Takeshita, Mark Davis and Andrade against Jungle Boy, Brody King and Darby Allin.

Darby Allin, Jack Perry and Bandido (who is replacing Brody King as he attends to a personal matter) then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Don Callis Family follows.

Trios Match: Jurassic Express’ AEW National Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, ROH World Champion Bandido and Darby Allin vs. Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis and NJPW World Television Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita)

The match starts off with Andrade El Idolo and Darby Allin and Andrade tags out to Takeshita. Allin then grabs a microphone and calls MJF to the ring, asking why he’s Don Callis’ b****. Andrade then dares Allin to come at him, but Konosuke Takeshita hits Allin with two rolling German suplexes. Davis then steps over Allin at the bottom of the entrance ramp, but Perry hits a moonsault off the ropes to level Takeshita and Davis as Don Callis joins the commentary desk. Perry then looks to fly off the ropes, but Takeshita nails him with a strike mid-air. He then sends Perry out of the ring as Andrade takes a selfie with a female fan.

Bandido then tags in and he hits Takeshita with a pump kick. He then delivers some strikes on Davis and bodyslams Davis on top of Takeshita and nails Takeshita with a boot to the side of his face. Takeshita then hits Bandido with a Blue Thunder Bomb and pins him, but Bandido kicks out. Davis then tags in and spits in Allin’s face, but Bandido hits a hurricanrana to Davis and pins him. Davis then kicks out and Perry hits an interfering Takeshita with a poisonrana. Andrade then trips Perry as he runs the ropes, but Allin flies out of the ring to take down Andrade. Takeshita and Davis then swing Allin into a pile of chairs in the timekeeper’s area, but Andrade tags in and hits The Message to Perry before pinning him for the win.

The winners of the Trios Match, Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis and NJPW World Television Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita)!

After the match, Andrade stares down Allin in the ring. Allin then shoves Andrade, but Andrade low blows Allin as Takeshita and Davis take a few shots at Bandido and Perry. Callis then rakes Perry’s eyes, but The Young Bucks’ music hits and they run down to the ring. Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson then deliver right hands on Takeshita and Davis, but Kazuchika Okada and Lance Archer join their fellow Don Callis Family members. The Rascalz then make their way to the ring to take out The Don Callis Family, but Myron Reed flies over the top rope to take out Okada on the outside.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is speaking with Doc Sampson and he gives an update on Kenny Omega before he faces MJF for the AEW World Title at Dynasty this weekend. Doc Sampson says Omega is fine, but he is worried that MJF has gotten into his head too much.
