AEW Dynamite Results (5/28/2025): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni and Taz welcoming us. Commentary then sends things over to Tony Schiavone, who is standing in the middle of the ring. Schiavone then introduces the winner of the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament “Hangman” Adam Page and Page makes his way down to the ring.

Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni and Taz then talk about the war Page went through with Will Ospreay this past Sunday night to win it. Schiavone then brings up Page’s big win and hands him the microphone. Page then starts to speak as the fans break out in a loud “You deserve it!” chant. Page says triumph in life is fleeting. Page then talks about the past two or three years of his life. Page then says he has lost sight of that. Page then says it’s not about the win or the loss, it’s about what you do with it.

Page then thanks Will Ospreay for giving him the fight of his life and says while one of them had to lose, the other would taste victory. Page then says he won’t be defending the Owen Hart Cup Tournament Championship and hands the belt over to Schiavone, then says he could stay in the ring all night and talks about winning the 2025 Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament. Page then says it’s about one thing now and that’s the AEW World Championship. Page then says AEW is about creativity and passion and on his first day in the company, he told fans that while he was part of AEW, they would be his boss. Page then promises to win the AEW World Championship and free it from the briefcase it’s been in. Page then says he’ll hold it above his head and defend it with every ounce of his being.

Swerve Strickland’s music then hits and he makes his way out. Strickland then sends it to a clip from the April 9th edition of Dynamite explaining that they cost Strickland his match for the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley at AEW Dynasty just for Page and saying that they do not forget who their friends are. Strickland then says he had his match at Dynasty won, then asks Page if he really told The Young Bucks to cost him. Page then vows that he never told The Bucks that, then says he would have done it before. Strickland then says Page is “full of s***”.

Will Ospreay’s music then hits and he makes his way out as Page and Strickland stare one another down. Ospreay then looks to calm the two men, then stares them both down and tells Strickland he hates getting involved in his business. Ospreay then says he views Strickland as his big brother. Ospreay then says the stakes were no higher than they were on Sunday, but he lost. Ospreay then says Page had a choice after their match at Double or Nothing, but he still chose to shake Ospreay’s hand and he knows that Page really does care about AEW. Ospreay then says people are starting to believe in them and Page is the one who can ultimately save AEW. Ospreay then proposes that himself, Page and Strickland work together, but Strickland says he will never work with Page and heads to the back.

The Death Riders and Gabe Kidd then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Willow Nightingale, Mike Bailey and Mark Briscoe follow.

Mixed Trios Match: The Death Riders (AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir) and Gabe Kidd vs. Willow Nightingale, Mark Briscoe and “Speedball” Mike Bailey

The match starts off with Gabe Kidd and Mark Briscoe and both men deliver some right hands on one another. Marina Shafir then begins brawling with Nightingale as Speedball delivers some right hands on Moxley. Briscoe then sets up a chair, then uses it as a launch pad to nail Moxley and Kidd on the outside. Shafir then tags in and delivers some kicks on Briscoe’s chest as Moxley holds him in place. Moxley and Speedball then tag in and Speedball hits a missile dropkick on Moxley. Speedball then hits a Scissor Kick on Moxley’s spine and follows it up with a standing moonsault, then nails him with a kick on his jaw.

Nightingale and Shafir then tag in and Nightingale nails Shafir with a series of clotheslines. Nightingale then follows it up with a Hip Attack and nails Shafir with a boot, then hits her with a spinebuster and goes for a pin. Kidd then breaks the fall, but Briscoe clotheslines him out of the ring. Shafir then hits a German suplex on Speedball, then nails Nightingale with a clothesline and tags in Speedball. Moxley then tags in on his side, but Yuta slides a chair into the ring as a distraction. He then pushes Speedball off the top rope and Kidd sends him crashing through the timekeeper’s table.

Moxley then tags in and exchanges strikes with Speedball. Kidd then tags in and knocks Briscoe on the apron as we see Kris Statlander watching the action from backstage. Briscoe then tags in and delivers some forearms on Kidd, but Kidd bites Briscoe and delivers some chops and headbutts on him. Briscoe then dropkicks Kidd through the ropes and flies to land on Moxley and Speedball hits a springboard moonsault to nail Kidd on the outside.

Claudio Castagnoli then hops up on the apron, but Komander walks the ropes and nails Castagnoli. Briscoe then rolls up Moxley, but Moxley kicks out and hits a DDT on Briscoe. Kidd then cinches in a crossface on Speedball as Shafir has a submission of her own locked in on Nightingale and the referee calls for the bell.

After the match, The Death Riders and Gabe Kidd celebrate their win in the ring.

We then get a video package on The Hurt Syndicate. They are thrilled after retaining the AEW World Tag Team Championship and MJF making a successful debut as their newest member. MJF says he looks forward to getting back his AEW World Title, but with the Hurt Syndicate it’s not personal, it’s just business.

We then get a quick word from Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford before they team up against Anna Jay and Harley Cameron in a No DQ Tag Team Match coming up next. Bayne and Ford say they will make Jay and Cameron their next sacrifices.

We then head to the back, where Ricochet talks about getting the lay of the land in AEW after Double Or Nothing. Ricochet then says he sees all the factions here and he needs a crew of his own. Ricochet then says once he finds the perfect crew he will show everyone why he is out of this world. Ricochet then laughs.

Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Harley Cameron and Anna Jay follow.

No DQ Tag Team Match: “The Megasus” Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs. Anna Jay and Harley Cameron

The match starts off with Anna Jay sending Penelope Ford into the barricade as Megan Bayne beats down Harley Cameron inside the ring. Ford then nails Jay with a right hand, then sends her crashing into the barricade. Cameron then hits a DDT on Ford back in the ring and pins her, but Bayne breaks the fall.

Jay then grabs a 2 by 4 piece of wood and stares down Bayne, but Cameron hits her with a pipe. Jay then grabs a chair and hits Bayne, then continues taking shots at her with it as Cameron does the same using the pipe. Bayne is then sent crashing into a golden chair she brought to the ring face first and Cameron and Jay then double team on Ford as they send her crashing into a chair spine first. Cameron and Jay then set up a table on the outside of the ring.

Cameron and Bayne then brawl on the apron near the table Cameron and Jay had set up on the outside. Cameron then looks to powerbomb Bayne off the apron with some assistance from Jay and Jay hits Bayne with the golden chair to help Cameron powerbomb her through the table.

Inside the ring, Ford places Jay on top of a chair and looks to hit a moonsault. Jay then rolls out of the way and Ford is sent crashing into the chair, but Bayne sends Cameron crashing into the ring steps face first. Jay then hits a Gory Bomb on Ford on top of a chair and goes for a pin, but Bayne breaks the fall. Bayne then sends Jay crashing into a chair with an F5 and goes for a pin, but Cameron breaks the fall. Cameron is then hit with a spear by Bayne and Bayne gets Cameron up on her shoulders. Ford then hits a clothesline on Cameron off the top as Bayne hits a Japanese Ocean Cyclone suplex on her for the win.

After the match, Bayne and Ford do a little more damage on Cameron before leaving the ring to celebrate.

We then get a graphic reminding us that Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm will meet face to face. We then head to the parking lot, where the TBS Champion and 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Cup pulls up looking very happy with herself.

The Opps then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and The Frat House follows. Jacked Jameson then cuts a promo on El Paso before this match gets underway.

Non-Title Match: AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata) vs. The Frat House (Preston Vance, Griff Garrison and Cole Karter)

The match starts off with Joe sending Jacked Jameson out of the ring before going after Vance while chaos breaks out at ringside. Vance and Samoa then lock up and Joe delivers a chop on Vance. Katsuyori Shibata and Garrison then tag in and exchange strikes with one another, but Shibata hits a dropkick on Garrison in the corner. Powerhouse Hobbs and Karter then tag in and Hobbs delivers some clotheslines on Karter repeatedly. Other members of The Frat House then try to get in the ring, but Hobbs takes them all down. Hobbs then nails Vance with a spinebuster and hits a second one on Karter for the win.

After the match, AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata) celebrate up the ramp.

Renee Paquette then welcomes Jamie Hayter to the ring to address things after Double Or Nothing. Hayter is asked if she has had time to think about what happened on Sunday, but before she can answer the lights go out. Before the lights are back on, Thekla makes her presence known by attacking Hayter in the ring. Thekla then takes Hayter out before staring the camera down, forcing Hayter to leave the ring.

We then get a video package looking at CMLL’s legendary luchador Mistico.

Kyle Fletcher then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night as we see what happened at Double Or Nothing leading to Hiroshi Tanahashi appearing. Adam Cole then makes his way down to the ring next.

AEW TNT Championship Match: Paragon’s Adam Cole (c) vs. Don Callis Family’s “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher

The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Fletcher then sends Cole to the corner before the referee intervenes. Fletcher then mocks Cole and Cole attacks Fletcher before Fletcher drops Cole to the mat. Fletcher then blocks a side headlock takeover to send Cole to the ropes and down hard, but Cole fights back for some forearm strikes. Fletcher then fights back with a body slam, but when Cole gets back to his feet he hits a big kick on Fletcher before sending Fletcher to the corner for some stomps.

Fletcher is then sent to the corner and he avoids one kick by Cole, only to take one to the face sending him to the floor outside. RPG Vice then try to get involved, but are sent away by Paragon. Cole then goes after Fletcher, but Fletcher takes Cole out with a powerbomb onto the apron. Fletcher then has Cole in the ring as he continues to go after his arm until Cole takes Fletcher out with a superkick. Both men are back on their feet as they trade strikes. Cole then gets some more offense in on Fletcher. Cole then goes for a cover, but Fletcher kicks out at two.

Cole then heads to the corner, but Fletcher counters out of a Panama Sunrise for a two count of his own. Cole then hits a half and half suplex on Fletcher, then follows it up with a Panama Sunrise. Cole then sets up for the Boom, but Josh Alexander attacks him and the referee calls for the bell.

After the match, Alexander and Fletcher continue beating down Cole until Brody King makes his way down to the ring with a chair for the save. King then forces Alexander and Fletcher to the outside as we are reminded that King and Josh will face off and it seems that match will happen next.

Security has cleared everyone out from the ringside area and the next match of the night is underway.

AEW International Championship 4-Way Qualifying Match: Hounds of Hell’s Brody King vs. Don Callis Family’s “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander

The match starts of with both men trading heavy strikes in the ring. King then hits Alexander on his chest with forearm strikes. King then goes to hit Alexander with a chop, but Alexander dodges it and goes after King’s hand. Alexander then brings King to the apron before rolling back into the ring to break the referee’s count, then brings King to the barricade. King then fights back with a chop that sends Alexander to the floor. Alexander does his best to avoid King by getting back into the ring, but King keeps on the attack until Alexander slips out of the ring for a breather. Alexander then blocks a dive from King before hitting him with a DDT to send King’s head onto the apron. Alexander then hits King with a chop to the chest and a body block to send King to the floor outside.

Alexander then breaks the referee’s count again before going after King on the barricade. Alexander then sends King into the ring steps. Alexander then sends King back in the ring with an armbar before King gets back to his feet. King then hits Alexander with a German suplex. Alexander then gets back to his feet, but is taken down once again with a lariat. Both men are down and the referee begins a ten count, but both men manage to get back up as King sets Alexander up in the corner after ripping off the turnbuckle pad. Alexander then sends King’s arm on the exposed turnbuckle. Alexander then goes for a suplex on the apron, but King fights him off. Alexander then hits King with a German suplex onto the hardest part of the ring.

Alexander then sets King up on the chair, but King fights back and charges at Alexander instead. King then sends Alexander back into the ring and Alexander heads to the corner and dodges a cannonball by King. Alexander then grabs the leg of King for an ankle lock, but King kicks him away to break free and gets dropped to the mat. Alexander then hits King with a bridging German suplex, but only gets a two count. Alexander has some blood on him as he climbs up for an aerial assault, but King cuts him off with some knees and hits Alexander with a lariat and a ganso bomb for the win.

After the match, King favors his right arm and he asks the referee to raise the left hand. King then leaves the ring for high fives as Alexander remains in the ring.

We then head to the back, where Kyle Fletcher expresses his frustration with the interference leading to him losing his shot at the TNT Championship before Adam Cole himself goes after Fletcher. Security then breaks it up as Cole tells Fletcher he’s a dead man.

Mercedes Moné then makes her way down to the ring and shows off her collection of titles, including the one she earned by winning the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. We then see the Owen Hart Cup trophy as the CEO addresses El Paso. Moné talks about legends like Owen Hart and her inspiration Eddie Guerrero and how they don’t compare to her. Moné is quickly cut off by the arrival of AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm as makes her way down to the ring.

Storm has a mic in her hand and she lays the title down on the mat, with Moné saying the fans are tired of the black and white and want a champion full of color. Storm then says hello and that she has been waiting a long time to meet Moné. Storm then addresses Moné debuting on a show named after her, making history and staying undefeated. Storm then says the two of them have never met or talked and Moné has claimed this is the match she wants most so what took so long. Moné then says patience darling and that she is the Beyoncé of women’s wrestling so Storm has been waiting for a reason. Storm then responds by saying she is the Toni Storm of professional wrestling. Moné then says Storm has changed from the shy woman she met ten years ago, but so has she. Moné then says she is no longer the Boss, she is the CEO. Moné then talks about the greatest match of all time that awaits them both at All In: Texas.

Storm then addresses their similar paths and how AEW allowed them to be who they really are, but notes the biggest difference between them. Storm then says Moné wants all the titles, but she only needs one. Storm then says if Moné wants to ride the money train into the Toni tunnel, she had better hope it can go deep enough. Storm then calls Moné one of the greatest of all time, but unfortunately for her Storm happens to be Timeless. Moné then tells Storm that she call herself Timeless, but she deserves for her time to come to an end. Moné and Storm then stare one another down and Moné extends her hand to Storm. Storm then shakes it, but Moné pulls Storm in close. Storm then sniffs Moné and kisses her hand, but Moné sets up for a Gory Bomb on Storm. Storm then reverses it into a Storm Zero, but Moné rolls out of the ring before she can hit the move and the show comes to a close.
