The show opens up with Excalibur, Taz and Ian Riccaboni welcoming us as Tony Schiavone introduces the finalists of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament “Hangman” Adam Page and Will Ospreay. Both men then make their way down to the ring as we look back at their confrontation after teaming together last week.
Schiavone says both men know what is at stake this Sunday, not only the Owen Hart Cup but a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In: Texas. Schiavone then gives the floor to Ospreay first, who thanks the security for being here but they are not needed. Ospreay then says he has a question for Page and asks Page if he still drinks. Page seems upset at this but Ospreay insists he is just asking to offer a couple of beers for Hangman. Ospreay then says beer is on the line before handing a bottle to Page, but Hangman says he is not interested in a drink at this moment.
Ospreay then says he understands and he sets the beer down before telling Hangman that he has petitioned to Tony Khan for their match on Sunday to be the main event. Ospreay then says those people do not understand what is at stake. Ospreay then says not only is the Owen Hart Cup on the line, not only does the winner go on to All In: Texas for a title shot, but that person carries the responsibility to bring back that pretty gold belt.
Ospreay then goes on to talk about the work he has put in and how much he wants to go into Forbidden Door in London with the title around his waist to thank the fans there for their support, but the most important thing to him is to have his little son look at him that day as the World Champion. Ospreay then says he understands how much Page wants this, but he wants it just that little bit more. Page then acknowledges there is a difference between them. Page then says Ospreay wants it and he understands the feeling as he has been there before. Page then says also knows Ospreay knows just how important the AEW World Championship is to this business. Page then says to Ospreay this could be a professional accomplishment, but to him this is personal. Hangman then says he just doesn’t want this opportunity, he needs it. Hangman then talks about wasting two years of life and feeling nothing but hate and resentment and the one thing he did win brought him nothing but the same.
Hangman then says the worst of it came around Christmas time when he looked at his son, who stared back at him looking out the window and looking for something that will never come back. Page then says he needs this as he needs his wife to look him in his eye and see the man she fell in love with. Page then says he needs it for his family and he needs it for the fans that have supported him through everything. Page then says he also needs it for himself, to know that there is a light at the end of this two-year tunnel through hell and he needs to know that Ospreay was wrong about it being too little, too late for him.
Ospreay then asks Page what he’s planning to do about it. Ospreay then asks Page if he is going to wrap a chair around his head or try to retire him like he did Christopher Daniels. Page then tells Ospreay he isn’t going that route again as the last time it took a long time to get back. Page then says he has been adamant about owning up to every loss he has has and leaving it all in the ring and gaining the respect and trust of the fans. Page then asks Ospreay if he thinks that’s enough when going up against Jon Moxley and Ospreay admits he doesn’t know. Ospreay then says he faced Moxley twice and couldn’t beat him, but Page knows how to beat him so he needs Page to bring that man to Double Or Nothing because if Ospreay can beat him he knows he can beat Moxley at All In: Texas. Ospreay then addresses the way the past two years have changed Hangman, losing the trust and respect of fans and the guys in the back. Ospreay then says he needs Hangman to know that he is bringing his best this Sunday and before he writes Ospreay off he needs to remember he has beaten some of the best in this business including MJF and Bryan Danielson among others. Ospreay then says anything can happen and if it’s Hangman who wins he can accept that. Ospreay then says if Hangman needs a friend he can watch his back and he hopes that if he wins, he knows Page will have his back.
Ospreay then says what he is saying is to meet him in the desert this Sunday because he is calling Page out for a shoot-out. Ospreay then offers the beer back to Page, who accepts this time with a swig before staring Ospreay down. Commentary then confirms that this match is officially the main event of Double Or Nothing as Ospreay and Page leave the ring and they walk up the ramp toward the Owen Hart Cup.

Both men then trade offense until Nicholas tags in for a double-team, but Hobbs fights back for a tag to Swerve, who sends Nicholas to the ropes. Strickland then hits a backbreaker before things completely break down with all six men coming into the ring. Things then finally calm down just as Moxley sends Hobbs to the outside for a dive through the ropes and Joe gets back in the ring for a dive of his own, only to be intercepted with a double superkick by the Young Bucks.
Nicholas is then hit with a Flatliner by Swerve, who sends him out of the ring for a dive as Joe comes back in to hit a tope onto the Young Bucks. Moxley is in control as he punches away at Hobbs before bringing him to the center of the ring for some stomps while Hobbs is down. Nicholas then tags in, but is overpowered by Hobbs and Strickland tags in for a double-team. Swerve then blocks a hurricanrana attempt to send Nicholas down hard with a powerbomb. Nicholas then gets back to his feet and lures Strickland in for a sneak attack from Moxley and Matthews on the outside.
Nicholas then continues the attack until Strickland gets his knees up onto Nicholas, but Swerve’s partners have been knocked off the apron to prevent a potential tag. This then gives the Young Bucks and Moxley an opening to continue the beatdown and this leads to a Risky Business that gets Nicholas a two count. Matthew then tags in to lay in more punishment, with an assist from Nicholas leading to another near fall over Strickland. Moxley has tagged back in and goes for a pin on Strickland before Joe breaks up the pin. Joe then gets cleared from the ring as Moxley sets up a Brutalizer on Swerve and he tries to break free. Moxley then lets go, only to set up a full nelson before Swerve breaks free. Swerve tries to get away from Moxley as he reaches for a tag and he hits a headbutt that takes him and Moxley down hard.
Matthew then tags in as chaos ensues until Hobbs takes Matthew down allowing Strickland to get a near fall. The action then spills outside as Moxley tries to get the upper hand, but Swerve manages to fight back before getting back in the ring. Moxley then looks to hit Hobbs with a Paradigm Shift but is dropped with a spinebuster before Matthew is hit with the spinebuster as well. Swerve is still up on the turnbuckle as things break down in the ring once more, leading to the Young Bucks hitting a double superkick on Joe. MVP then welcomes the newest member of The Hurt Syndicate as MJF’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring with a microphone in hand. MJF then mocks the crowd before addressing The Hurt Syndicate. MJF says when he was a young lad his mom sat him down and said the most important day of his life is when he marries the love of his life, but she never joined The Hurt Syndicate. The crowd then boos MJF, but it is addressed by MVP and MJF continues.
As soon as MJF is done, Mark Sterling says this was done to satisfy both parties. MJF then signs the contract to join The Hurt Syndicate before Sterling hands the contract over to The Hurt Syndicate. They then talk with their legal counsel before Benjamin signs, while MVP continues to run down the crowd. We then await the signature of Bobby Lashley, who looks it over before conferring with Benjamin and the counsel. MVP then joins in after trying to shut the crowd down some more and Lashley finally signs the contract. MJF then puts on a hat to celebrate before he is cut off by The Sons of Texas making their way out.

Rhodes then says himself and Sammy Guevara want to get their hands on some more gold and there is nothing that The Hurt Syndicate can do to him or Guevara that they haven’t been put through by better competitors. Ricochet then starts to fight back, but Bowens takes him down before sending Ricochet to the outside. Ricochet then gets back to his feet and mouths off with Gunn, who makes him flinch before Bowen nails him on the head and sends him into the barricade. Gunn then sends Ricochet back into the ring, leading to some words with the referee and Ricochet fights back to send Bowens crashing to the apron and down to the floor.
Ricochet then continues his beatdown on Bowens inside the ring before Anthony nails him with a kick and a leg lariat. Bowens then places Ricochet on his shoulders and sends him down hard for a two count. Hayter says she promises she will fight back over and over again because that’s who she is. Hayter then says this means more to her than it means to Mercedes Moné and both of them know that. Hayter then says this is about more than a title shot for her, it’s about not being forgotten.
Paquette then addresses the intensity being brought out of Mercedes Moné by her opponent, asking if Moné is worried about Hayter being the first woman to defeat her in AEW.
