The show opens up with Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone welcoming us as Excalibur announces some breaking news regarding the AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament, which starts tonight with FTR and JetSpeed facing off. Commentary also talk about the matches set for tonight, with “Hangman” Adam Page set to wrestle Wheeler Yuta to start the show.
We then head to the back, where we hear from AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page who promises revenge for what The Death Riders did to Colt Cabana on Collision before he is interrupted by MJF. MJF says he plans to beat Page for the title without using his contract earned from the Casino Gauntlet Match. Page then says he’s not getting goaded into a title match and if MJF wants his shot he either uses the contract or earns his shot and he has the guts to do neither. Page then heads to ringside as we get ready for the first match of the night, only to be blindsided by Wheeler Yuta.
The match starts off with Page managing to fight back and sending Yuta out of the ring for some hard shots against the barricade. He then brings Yuta back into the ring for a fall away slam before sending him into the corner for more damage. Page then sends Yuta to the opposite side only to take a boot from Yuta, who gets dropped to the mat with a Death Valley Driver and Page gets a two count. Yuta then uses the ropes to block a Dead Eye and he takes a bite out of Page, only for Page to counter back into a Buckshot Lariat for the win.
The winner of the Non-Title Match, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page!
After the match, Page is far from finished as he grabs the chain he brought with him to the ring to go back on the attack. He then slams the chain against the head of Yuta before threatening to choke him on the ropes, yelling that The Death Riders are not coming to save him before letting go without further damage. “He deserves it” chants then starts as Page leaves the ring with his title. Yuta then stares him down from the ring as Page’s music hits.
Commentary then talks about Claudio Castagnoli facing Mark Briscoe later tonight before we head to the backstage area, where Athena and Billie Starkz talk about how AEW stands for “Athena Elite Wrestling.” They also talk about taking out “Timeless” Toni Storm later tonight ahead of Athena looking to get her shot at the title and promising Storm that her movie is over.
FTR then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night as we take a look at Cope promising to take them out, only to be told he can’t get involved in their matches. JetSpeed then make their way down to the ring.
The match starts off with FTR getting the jump on JetSpeed before knocking Knight out of the ring to focus on Mike Bailey. Bailey then blocks a Shatter Machine to get a near fall on Harwood. Cash then rushes in, but is taken out by Bailey and Knight before Bailey hits a German suplex on Harwood for a two count. FTR then end up on the outside, where JetSpeed hit a double dive and Bailey may have landed awkwardly on the floor.
FTR then turns things around as they bring Bailey back in the ring, with Harwood laying into Speedball in the corner. Bailey then fights back and it leads to a trade of strikes between the two until Harwood sends Speedball to the ropes for a shoulder tackle. They then end up back on the outside as Harwood looks for a piledriver, only for Bailey to hit a back body drop on Harwood and Wheeler.
Harwood is then sent to the mat by Knight from the turnbuckle as Bailey takes Wheeler to the canvas as well. JetSpeed then hit FTR with a couple of missile dropkicks and a pendulum DDT leads to a near fall for Knight. Bailey then hits Wheeler on the outside with a moonsault as Knight hits a splash on Harwood for another two count. Harwood then heads to the ropes as Knight pursues, only to get hit with a dragon screw leg whip that sends him down hard. Harwood then continues to target the leg now, pulling Knight towards the ring post before mocking a fan and slamming Knight’s leg against the post. He then sets up a figure four against the ring post until Bailey rushes in with some kicks to break the hold. Wheeler then comes in to take Speedball out of the equation as Harwood brings Knight into the ring, only for Knight to cradle him for a near fall.
Harwood then fights back for a Sharpshooter in the ring while Wheeler locks one in on Bailey outside, but Knight gets to the ropes to force a break. Harwood then sends him to the corner as Wheeler heads up top himself. Harwood then hits a superplex and Wheeler hits a splash, but Knight puts up his knees. Bailey then keeps Wheeler at bay as Knight goes for the cover, but Harwood kicks out at two. Bailey is now the legal man as he gets a two count on Harwood. He then takes Harwood to the ropes, but is intercepted by Wheeler on the apron. Both men then fight it out until Bailey ends up taking both of FTR out with a springboard maneuver. Harwood is back in the ring as Bailey goes for a shooting star press, but Harwood dodges it. Speedball then hits a shooting star stomp for a two count.
A tag is then made to Knight as he lifts Harwood onto his shoulders, with Knight hitting an elevated dropkick to send Harwood down hard. Knight then goes for a cover, but only gets a two count. The action then spills to the outside, where Bailey launches himself over the barricade onto Wheeler as Harwood evades a splash for a cradle and a near fall. A powerbomb is then reversed into a hurricanrana by Knight, but Harwood kicks out. Harwood then hits a slingshot bomb on Bailey who comes in, but Knight gets a near fall instead. Harwood then rolls him up and gets an assist with a crutch from Stokely for the win.

After the match, we take a look at the bracket of the tournament, which continues on Collision. Tony Schiavone is in the ring with FTR and Stokely as the crowd starts booing. Schiavone talks about what Cope said last week as Stokely says that Adam Copeland should be in prison. Stokely then says he had no business putting his hands on him last week and Copeland is a horrible human being and a loser. Stokely then says Cope is a cancer to AEW and it doesn’t matter what anyone says. Cope’s music then hits and he makes his way out. Cope has a microphone in hand as he starts walking down the ramp. Stokely then calls for Cope’s music to be cut, but the crowd is still singing for a moment after it ends.
Stokely then reminds Cope that he can’t get in the vicinity of FTR and Cope says he forgot about that. Cope then says he made a business deal with some gentleman and they were willing to come to the ring to do what he can’t. Cope then reveals that the business of the men he enlisted is hurting people. The Hurt Syndicate’s music then hits and Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP make their way out. MVP then shakes Cope’s hand and Benjamin and Lashley deliver some right hands on Wheeler and Harwood. Security and other officials then run down to the ring to try and separate all four men, but are unsuccessful in doing so. Lashley then sends Wheeler crashing into one of the barricades, but security finally breaks things up. Inside the ring, Cope looks to hit a spear on Stokely. Stokely then moves out of the way and Cope accidentally hits a security guard. Stokely then escapes the ring as Cope’s music plays.
We then head to the back, where The Patriarchy talk about promises broken and the promise Nick Wayne will make to prove himself at Collision, saying they will show what they are like when they are uncaged.
We then see Will Ospreay walking in the backstage area as we will hear from him next.
We then get a vignette from Jon Moxley, who gives a level of respect to “Hangman” Adam Page for doing what he did to win the title at All In: Texas. Moxley then says that avoiding a rematch is not something Page is about and he promises to fix things one way or another. Moxley then says we saw who Page riding into All In: Texas was, but we will soon see who Page riding out really is. Marina Shafir then gives some controversial comments.
Tony Schiavone then welcomes Will Ospreay and addresses the match he had at All In: Texas and the damage done by the Death Riders. Ospreay says Tony Khan didn’t know he was going to be there as he flew himself in. Ospreay then says he’s been dealing with neck issues for over ten months and he has not quite been on the level with the medical team. Ospreay then apologies for hiding this, but says he wanted to get us over the finish line. Ospreay then talks about making sacrifices and the fact that they managed to get that title back, but after what The Death Riders did he was rushed to a hospital room for an MRI. Ospreay then says they found issues in two of his vertebrae, though the doctors did say it was treatable and he is hoping to be back in action in time for Forbidden Day. Ospreay then thanks Swerve for his help at All In: Texas and congratulates Page on winning the title, reminding him he is wanting that rematch sometime soon. Ospreay then says as for The Death Riders, it’s eye for an eye so he will come after them soon enough. Ospreay’s music then hits as he heads up the ramp, hugging it out with Swerve who awaits him on the stage.
We then get a video package looking at Julia Hart, Skye Blue and Thekla forming what they call a “Triangle of Terror” to wreak havoc on the AEW women’s division.
We then head to the back, where we hear from Willow Nightingale who looks to refocus after dealing with The Death Riders. Nightingale then issues a challenge to Thekla.

We then head to the back, where we hear from The Hurt Syndicate before MJF interrupts, wanting to know why they are just buddies with Cope now and why they didn’t help him deal with Hangman. MVP then says that was a business deal before Lashley lunges at MJF to tell them they don’t need to help him with anything. The Hurt Syndicate then leave the room.
We then see Athena watching the next match from an opera box as Toni Storm makes her way down to the ring. Billie Starkz then makes her way down to the ring next.

The winner of the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm!
After the match, Storm’s celebration is cut short when Starkz blindsides her with the title and Athena makes her way down to the ring. It seems that Athena may be looking to cash in her title match contract as the referee gets sent out of the ring, which allows Athena and Starkz to continue the attack on Storm. Before she can cash in her contract, Athena is interrupted by the arrival of Alex Windsor who runs down the ramp for the save. She then forces Athena and Starkz to retreat up the ramp as Windsor checks on Storm, with commentary reminding the fans that Windsor will challenge Athena on Collision for the ROH Women’s World Championship.
Swerve Strickland then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Hechicero follows with Don Callis.
The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. We then get an exchange of holds between both men before Strickland sends Hechicero to the ropes. Hechicero then rolls up Strickland and transitions into a submission hold before Strickland breaks free. Both men are on their feet now and they trade holds once again before Hechicero sends Strickland to the mat for an over hook on the shoulder. After the match, Josh Alexander retreats from ringside to hang out with Don Callis as Archer continues the attack. Bandido then runs down to the ring for the save. Strickland then stares Callis down from the ring until Kazuchika Okada runs into the ring and hits a chair shot on the back. MJF then runs down the Chicago crowd before saying he doesn’t need Bobby Lashley to get back his World Championship. MJF then calls Hangman Page a hypocrite and he promises not to execute his contract and to beat Page for the title inside the ring fair and square. Before MJF can go any further, he is interrupted by the arrival of Mark Briscoe ahead of his match against Claudio Castagnoli. Briscoe has a microphone in hand as the crowd chants “Dem Boys.” Briscoe says he promises to keep this short like that “kosher pickle” MJF has and this gets the crowd chanting “kosher pickle” before Briscoe continues.
Briscoe then says he is exercising self-control as he wants to shove that microphone up MJF’s ass, but there are kids here and they will dock his paycheck when they can’t get it back. This then leads to Briscoe issuing a challenge to MJF for a match next week, but MJF says no. MJF then runs Briscoe down by saying that when the pressure is on Briscoe loses and he wins. MJF then says he is a generational talent and the most complete professional wrestler in the world today. MJF then says he will be honest here and from the bottom of his heart Mark Briscoe sucks. MJF then says he is white trash just like everyone here from the midwest.

MJF then says they don’t think he is anywhere near his level. MJF then says Briscoe is a joke and these fans don’t actually like or respect him. MJF then says he knows a guy from Delaware that these people did respect and appreciate. MJF then says he can’t imagine how hard it is for Mark Briscoe to look people in the eye and know that no one will respect him as much as they respected his brother Jay. This then riles up the crowd and Mark, who goes after MJF before he retreats up the ramp.
With Briscoe already in the ring, Claudio Castagnoli’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring through the crowd for the main event of the night.
The match starts off with Castagnoli sending Briscoe to the corner for a chop, but Briscoe stands up to him before pushing Castagnoli to the corner for some strikes of his own. This then leads to both men trading blows in the middle of the ring. This then ends with Castagnoli sending Briscoe to the ropes, but Briscoe strikes back sending Castagnoli to the mat instead. Briscoe then hits a boot to the face and he stays on the attack, sending Castagnoli to the corner before Castagnoli turns things around for a series of stomps to the midsection. The referee then forces Castagnoli to back off as Briscoe manages to find his footing. Briscoe then takes the fight to Castagnoli from the apron before sending him to the floor outside.
Castagnoli is back in, but Briscoe doesn’t let up as he sends Castagnoli over the top rope with a clothesline.
