The show opens up with commentary welcoming us and they hype the lineup for tonight’s special edition of Dynamite, revealing that we will start with the first-ever Women’s Blood & Guts Match.
Justin Roberts then goes over the rules for the match as the cage lowers over the double-ring setup. Skye Blue then makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Willow Nightingale follows.
The match starts off with Blue and Nightingale staring each other down in separate rings, each gathering a weapon before going at it and that leads to them exchanging strikes. Nightingale has the upper hand as she sends Blue into the corner for some forearm strikes, pulling her by the hair to the mat. The action then spills to the outer ring area, where Blue starts slamming Nightingale against the cage until Nightingale fights back to bring her back to the ring itself. It doesn’t take long for the action to go right back out, before Nightingale sends Blue face first into the side of the cage. She then keeps on the attack before posing on the turnbuckle. Nightingale then stays on the attack with some more strikes, sending Blue to the other ring to inflict some more pain. Blue has been busted open from the cage to the face and it’s not getting any better as Nightingale brings her to the corner.
Blue then fights off a superplex attempt as the countdown brings out the next participant and it is Julia Hart. Hart then makes a beeline for the ring, making the save before she and Blue hit Nightingale with a double powerbomb. Hart then sends Nightingale to the corner, slamming her face against the turnbuckle before going Old School to drop Nightingale to the mat. Nightingale then manages to escape to the other ring as Blue and Hart look for something inside the turnbuckle pads. They then go back after Nightingale as the countdown brings out the next participant and it is Harley Cameron. Cameron then makes her way out with a chair, going right after Blue upon entering the cage and laying out Hart.
She then escapes a double suplex attempt allowing Nightingale to take out the Sisters of Sin. Nightingale and Cameron then set up Hart in a tree of woe with a steel chair twist and Cameron gets the assist for a dropkick on Hart before Nightingale follows suit for a cannonball on Blue. Nightingale then nails Hart with a pounce as the countdown brings out our next participant and it is Thekla to round out the Triangle of Madness. She then fends off Cameron and Nightingale with a bit of help from her belt, allowing the Triangle of Madness to take control over the Babes of Wrath. The countdown then brings out our next participant and it is Jamie Hayter as she makes a beeline for the ring. She then uses a trashcan lid to fend off the Triangle of Madness before using the barbed wire kendo stick Blue brought out for more damage.
Thekla then goes after Hayter and Hayter sends Thekla onto a pile of thumbtacks as the countdown brings out our next participant and it is Megan Bayne with Penelope Ford right alongside her. Bayne then lays out Hayter before going after Nightingale and Cameron, hitting splashes on both of them in the corner. A double suplex is then hit to sending the Babes of Wrath to the canvas before Hayter intervenes to exchange strikes with Bayne. Bayne then drops Hayter not once but twice, before Cameron attacks her with a trashcan lid to no avail. Bayne then hits a scoop slam on Cameron onto the lid as the countdown brings out our next participant and it is Kris Statlander as she makes her way down with a pool cue to even the numbers.
Bayne then stands up to her, only to be dropped to the mat before hitting an attack from the turnbuckle. We then see Queen Aminata keeping Penelope Ford from getting involved and back in the ring we see a moment between Nightingale and Statlander that is interrupted by Bayne. Statlander then goes at it with Bayne and both women exchange strikes. Cameron and Bayne are now fighting it out on the side of the cage before Cameron sends Bayne down and hits a cross body on opposing team to send them to the mat. The countdown then brings out our next participant and it is Mercedes Moné as she makes her way down to the ring.
She then goes after Nightingale first, sending her to the corner before going after Statlander who turns things around before looking for a tombstone onto her title belt. Moné then counters out of the move and hits a headscissors takedown instead that sends Statlander to the mat. Moné then leaves the cage, bringing some of her title belts from ringside into the cage and handing them to her teammates. They then go to work on the babyfaces, hitting some hard shots on each woman as the countdown brings out our next participant and it is Mina Shirakawa as she makes her way down to the ring with a barbed wire bat. She then tosses it toward Bayne, distracting her for a dropkick as things turn around for her team.
Moné then fights her off as the countdown gives us our final participant for the heels and it is Marina Shafir as she makes her way down to the ring through the crowd. The battle then quickly spills outside the cage as Shafir pulls out a bed of nails from near ringside before Statlander goes after her, which turns ugly quick when Shafir sends Statlander onto the bed of nails. One of the referees then checks on Statlander as the countdown gives us our final participant for the faces and it is “Timeless” Toni Storm. Blood & Guts then officially begins with all participants having entered the match.
Storm then attacks anyone she can with a pearl necklace as Nightingale sends Hart to the corner. In the other ring, Shafir goes on the offense as Storm tapes her hands and dips them into a pail of glass. She then fends off Bayne and Shafir before embracing Shirakawa and both women go after Bayne and Shafir. We then see the Babes of Wrath going to work and their team is now in control. Hayter and Blue then fight it out on the side of the cage before Hayter sends Blue through a table. The table doesn’t fully break upon impact and we see Hart and Thekla get speared to the mat by Nightingale.
Shirakawa then hits a DDT on Bayne and sends her to the canvas as well before Shafir lays out Shirakawa only to be dropped by Storm, who in turn takes a kiss and a Money Maker by Moné. She then turns around to see Cameron with Mini Moné, ripping the puppet off to reveal a set of brass knuckles which go right to her head as Cameron drops her to the mat. In the midst of the chaos, we see Thekla and Hart sneak out of the cage through the truss with Hart demanding the key to the cage from one of the officials who gets dropped by Thekla, allowing Hart to grab the key.
They then unlock the door and the chaos spills out as we see Hayter, Cameron and Shirakawa step out. Cameron and Hayter then get dropped to the floor before Statlander intervenes and she goes after Moné who is climbing up the side of the cage. Statlander then traps Moné’s leg in the truss before setting her up on her shoulders to send Moné through a table with a Samoan Drop. Back in the cage, we see Storm going after Blue and Shafir with a shoe before dumping out the pail of glass with Shafir being sent into the pile by way of a DDT from Storm and Shirakawa. Storm then grabs a mirror, propping it against Shafir for a hip attack but Shafir throws the mirror at the face of Storm instead.
She then is fended off by Shirakawa, who turns her attention to Bayne with the barbed wire bat using it for damage on a figure four leg lock. Shafir then breaks up the submission by stepping on some glass nearby and she stomps the head of Shirakawa. The heels then gang up on Shirakawa while holding Storm down, demanding she surrender for the sake of her lover and Storm does just that to bring the match to an end.
The winners of the Women’s Blood & Guts Match, AEW TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Moné, Triangle of Madness (“The Toxic Spider” Thekla, Skye Blue and Julia Hart), “The Megasus” Megan Bayne and The Death Riders’ Marina Shafir!
After the match, Shafir’s music starts to play as the heels continue to gang up on Shirakawa until the referee intervenes. Shafir’s music then starts back up as commentary talks about what just went down.
We then get a hype video package on the Falls Count Anywhere Match between AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and The Opps’ AEW World Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs.
We then head to the parking lot, where the Don Callis Family has gone after Jurassic Express. The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada then step out as Josh Alexander talks about the message sent and what is you don’t mess with family. Don Callis then talks about the Bucks hopefully deciding to join their group before the Family walks off.
Hangman Page then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Powerhouse Hobbs follows.
The match starts off with both men slugging it out and trading strikes before Hobbs goes for a slam on Page on the turnbuckle exposed early on, but to no avail. Page then fights Hobbs off before hitting a lariat off the ropes, sending Hobbs to the other ring. Page then hits another lariat off the ropes before climbing the turnbuckle, but Hobbs dodges him the third time around and hits a lariat of his own to send Page to the mat. The fight then spills to the outside as Hobbs sends Page into the barricade before sending him back into the ring, but this proves costly as Page gets the drop on Hobbs while he’s mouthing off with the crowd. Hobbs is then quick to turn things around as he sends Page into the ring post and then the barricade.
He then pulls the ring steps away from the apron, propping Page against them before charging toward him but Page dodges and forcing Hobbs to collide against the steps instead. Page then jumps off the steps, only to be grabbed by Hobbs who slams him against the apron and the announce desk, telling Schiavone this is his fault. He then continues the damage, slamming Page once more. Hobbs then hits Page with a powerslam for a two count. He then sends Page through the ropes to the outside before bringing Page to the announce desk. He then nearly loses his footing as he sets up for a powerbomb and this gives Page an opening to send Hobbs to the floor with a back body drop instead. Hobbs then gets onto a chair near the barricade as Page charges at him, leading to both men slugging it out through the crowd.
Page then hits some shots on Hobbs before accepting a drink from a fan and he follows it up with a moonsault to send Hobbs down hard. Hobbs is back on his feet already, but Page hits him with a flying lariat. Hobbs then evades a Dead Eye attempt, but takes a trash bin to the face instead before responding in kind with spinebuster sending Page through a table. Hobbs then goes for a cover, but he only gets a two as Page kicks out. Hobbs then brings Page up the stairs, eventually looking for a World’s Most Dangerous Slam but Page fights out of it, hitting some shots of his own on Hobbs instead.
Hobbs is in a bad spot as he is standing on a railing and Page walks up the steps for a running start. He then takes his belt off and hits a shot on Hobbs that sends him through an electrical table. We then get a small explosion and the lights flicker throughout the arena as Page heads down for the cover and picks up the win.
The winner of the Falls Count Anywhere Match, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page!
After the match, there is little time for celebration as Page is blindsided by Katsuyori Shibata. Samoa Joe is here as well and The Opps go after Page before Joe calls for the cage to be lowered down. The cage is then lowered, but not before Eddie Kingston and HOOK make their way down to make the save. The Opps then retreat to the ramp as Page gets a microphone, telling Joe if he wanted to get him in a cage he could have just asked. He then tells Joe to leave Shibata and Hobbs at home because the AEW World Championship match at Full Gear will see him and Joe go at it in a steel cage. The crowd then cheers this, while Joe shows his frustration about the news.
We then head to ringside as Tony Schiavone thanks the fans in Greensboro for their support, hyping up the rich history the city has had in pro wrestling. He then introduces Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat to a nice pop from the crowd. He then shakes hands and gives high fives on his way to the ring as Schiavone talks about Steamboat’s history in the city. Steamboat then thanks TBS for airing this show before pointing out a fan sign about the “Mount Rushmore of Greensboro” consisting of Steamboat, Flair, Dusty Rhodes and Sting.
He then talks some more about his history with the city and the business, but gets cut off by the arrival of FTR and Big Stoke. This then gives Steamboat a chance to share a story about Dax Harwood and how much talent he has before Stoke interrupts to introduce himself amidst some boos from the fans. He then compares himself to Denzel Washington before saying Steamboat is synonymous with wrestling history in this building. Stoke then talks about FTR challenging for the tag titles at Full Gear, asking about having one of the greats sit front row before asking if he has Macho Man’s number.
Cash then cuts this off to talk up Steamboat some more, acknowledging that he picked FTR to work his final pro wrestling match years ago. Dax then joins in to talk about Steamboat being his trainer 13 years ago, calling that a blessing. He then talks about how he has learned so much from Steamboat only to “struggle” thinking of something. He then notes that there is one thing he did learn, but Steamboat interrupts saying he never taught him that his attitude has gone into the toilet. Steamboat then says the one thing Dax learned was when he said however much you make, save your money and if he and Flair had taken that advice, they wouldn’t have to be here tonight. He then says who would have thought in 2012 that FTR would be a bigger name than Steamboat could ever be.
This then leads to a stare-down between Harwood and Steamboat and the crowd chants for Steamboat’s name. Dax then tells Steamboat to get out of his ring. Wheeler then holds the ropes for Steamboat, but he grabs a microphone to respond. He then talks about discretion being the better part of valor, acknowledging his age before saying he will be the bigger man today. He then starts to leave the ring, but is pulled back by Cash as FTR look to attack Steamboat and out comes Brodido to make the save. Dax is then sent to the corner as Bandido hits a 21 Plex on Wheeler before Brody King sends him out of the ring. Steamboat then gets some shots in on Harwood before Stoke pulls him out of the ring. FTR then regroups on the ramp as Steamboat and Bandido stand tall.
Darby Allin then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Wheeler Yuta follows.
The match starts off with Yuta leaving the cage to play to the crowd and this leads to a dropkick from Allin to send Yuta into the barricade. Allin then continues the attack until Yuta turns it around, sending Allin into the side of the cage. Yuta then finally heads back into the cage, cutting Allin off at the door by kicking it onto him. Yuta then brings Allin back into the cage, calling for the door to be closed so he can inflict more damage on Allin. Yuta then sets Allin up against the ropes for some chops, but Allin responds with a DDT off the ropes. Yuta then heads to the other ring, going for the skateboard Allin brought but Allin stops him, driving the tacks on the bottom into his face. The crowd then chants “you deserve it” at Yuta, who responds by attacking Allin as the countdown brings out our next participant and it is Orange Cassidy.
Cassidy then makes his way down to the ring with his backpack and he takes his shirt off to enter the cage while putting on his elbow pad. He then breaks his own sunglasses, making a weapon to attack the face of Yuta with. Allin then charges at Yuta in the corner, while Cassidy pulls out a chain from the backpack for a shot to the head. This is then followed by Allin climbing the turnbuckle with the skateboard, dropping the tacks onto Yuta. Cassidy then forgets what this match entails as he covers Yuta, only to be reminded there are no pinfalls here while the countdown brings out Daniel Garcia as the next participant for the match. Garcia’s arrival then changes things in favor of the Death Riders as they beat down Cassidy and Allin before using a chain to take control.
Allin and Cassidy then turn things around as the countdown is supposed to bring out Mark Briscoe, but he is nowhere to be seen. This then allows the Death Riders to turn the tide as we go backstage to see Mark Briscoe has been attacked. Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong then come to check on him, with Strong offering to take Briscoe’s place as he heads down to the ring next. He then enters the cage to fend off the Death Riders, getting his team back in control as the countdown brings out Claudio Castagnoli next. He then makes a beeline for the cage, sending Allin around with a giant swing even with Cassidy on his back.
He then sends Allin to the other ring, where Garcia goes to work on him for a surfboard before sending him into an uppercut by Castagnoli. The beatdown then continues as the countdown gives us Kyle O’Reilly as our final participant for the babyfaces. He then goes after Castagnoli, leading to Paragon getting the upper hand as in the other ring we see Yuta and Garcia go after Cassidy with a chair. Strong then comes over but gets kept away by Garcia as Yuta hits a stalling suplex on Cassidy. We then see Castagnoli and O’Reilly go at it in the other ring as Garcia and Yuta get caught by Cassidy only to keep him in the corner while Yuta sends Strong onto a chair with a suplex. Cassidy is then sent to the side of the cage, trapping him between the cage and the ring as Castagnoli hits a piledriver on Allin.
The Death Riders are firmly in control now as Castagnoli sends Cassidy to the mat before the countdown brings out Jon Moxley. Moxley comes prepared as he heads to the cage, pulling out a fork and he joins in the beatdown while focusing on Allin. He then leaves the cage for a barbed wire bat and other weapons as the countdown ends and we await our final participant for the babyfaces and it is Eddie Kingston. Moxley then digs into the face of O’Reilly as Renee Paquette reveals that the Don Callis Family have been outed as the assailants taking out Mark Briscoe, meaning that the Death Riders are at a 5-on-4 advantage. They then grab a bucket, dumping out glass for a piledriver on Cassidy.
We then see Allin climb the side of the cage before leaping from the top for a Coffin Drop, sending the Death Riders to the mat as the countdown reveals PAC as the final participant. He then makes his way through the crowd before entering the cage. Blood & Guts is now officially underway as PAC charges at a bloody O’Reilly in the corner before catching Cassidy, who tries to fight back only to take a backbreaker by PAC. Moxley then lays out Allin on the canvas and the beatdown continues as we see PAC run the ropes for a big lariat on Allin. We then see Mark Briscoe making his way down the ramp with a toolbox and bolt cutters, negating the stealing of the key by Yuta to break his way into the cage.
He then goes on the attack until Moxley intervenes, only for Allin to stop him as Yuta grabs Briscoe for a fight on the outside. The toolbox is then opened as Cassidy uses a wrench and Strong goes after Moxley with a chain. Cassidy then goes after Moxley with the wrench now, but Moxley turns it around as we see O’Reilly jabbing Garcia with the barbed wire bat. O’Reilly is also busted open by this point as we see Briscoe pulling a table around on the outside. He then sets the table up, looking at the cage before Garcia rushes out to choke him with a turnbuckle pad only to take a suplex to the floor by Briscoe.
He then sets Garcia up on the table as Yuta has rolled off and Briscoe climbs to the top of the cage, only for Garcia to also roll off the table. Garcia then gets blindsided by Strong, who gets a cross arm breaker locked in as up top we see Yuta has joined Briscoe. Both men then trade strikes back and forth until Yuta gets knocked away and we see Briscoe bring down a rope and carabiner calling for a chair. O’Reilly then helps set the chairs up for Briscoe to bring back to the roof, with one falling to the ring below as we end up with a chair duel between Briscoe and Yuta. Briscoe then knocks Yuta down. Yuta then blocks a Jay Driller for a low blow, but Briscoe stops himself from falling off the roof only to take a chair to the head by Yuta.
Yuta then continues to fight Briscoe on the roof of the cage. He is then looking for a Jay Driller of his own, but Briscoe counters out to hit one instead, sending Yuta’s head onto the roof of the cage. Back in the ring, Allin is fighting back Castagnoli with a hammer until Moxley comes in with a fork to break things up. Strong then makes the save as outside we see Briscoe has come down to the floor, only to be taken out by PAC. Allin then comes out to go after PAC, sending him into the barricade before pulling off his belt only for Gabe Kidd to blindside him with a stun gun. He then goes after Allin up the ramp as back in the ring, Cassidy tries to break out of a choke hold by putting his hands in his pockets before running the ropes but Castagnoli grabs him, allowing Moxley to use a staple gun to staple Orange’s hands into his pockets.
Over on the stage we see PAC climb above the entrance tunnel, using the belt to pull Allin up by his throat. A couple of tables are then set up beside the tunnel as Gabe grabs a couple bottles of lighter fluid on them before setting the tables ablaze just as PAC hoists Allin up to launch him down through those flaming tables. Back in the ring, we see Moxley showing Strong the damage done, hoping for a surrender as Gabe is pulled away by AEW security. Moxley then goes to the other side, wrapping a chain around O’Reilly’s mouth and throat while cinching in a bulldog choke but O’Reilly flips him off, refusing to surrender. Castagnoli then intervenes, setting up a chair around O’Reilly’s neck but Cassidy kips up.
Strong then rushes in with a knee strike and we see PAC and Briscoe go at it just outside the cage as Garcia is sent face first onto a table in the corner. He then sends Yuta onto another table and then through it when it doesn’t break the first time as Cassidy sets up for an Orange Punch only to be cut off by Castagnoli. Strong then distracts Castagnoli long enough for Cassidy to counter an uppercut into an Orange Punch. Moxley then goes for a bulldog choke on Cassidy, but is pulled away by O’Reilly into an ankle lock. He then pulls Moxley into the other ring away from any help as the other Death Riders are indisposed. Moxley then counters out of the ankle lock for a bulldog choke, but O’Reilly counters that for a cross arm breaker before transitioning to another ankle lock. He then hooks in a grapevine and Moxley has nowhere to go. Moxley then has no choice but to tap out and the referee calls for the bell.
The winners of the Men’s Blood & Guts Match, Darby Allin, The Conglomeration (“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Mark Briscoe) and Paragon’s Roderick Strong!
After the match, the babyfaces celebrate their win as Dynamite Blood And Guts comes to a close.
