Commentary then welcomes us to the show and they run through the card for tonight’s Collision. Tony Schiavone then goes over the rules and details of the Continental Cup Tournament.
Claudio Castagnoli then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Ace Austin follows.
AEW Continental Cup Tournament First Round Match: The Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli vs. Bang Bang Gang’s Ace Austin
The match starts off with both men locking up. Claudio Castagnoli then dominates Ace Austin, but Austin is deceptively strong. Austin then hits Castagnoli with a big shotgun dropkick and he follows it up with a Michinoku Driver. Castagnoli is then sent to the floor and he catches Austin going for a dive. Austin then avoids a leg sweep on the apron with his handstand and he nails Castagnoli with a Pele kick. Castagnoli then stumbles around the ring and Austin hits him with a slingshot press over the post. Austin then keeps the pressure up on Castagnoli.
Castagnoli then takes over the match as he wears out Austin with clubbing blows and exhausting submissions. Austin then his Castagnoli with a counter into a back suplex and a leaping leg drop. Castagnoli then places Austin on top, but Austin hits him with a double-jump hurricanrana that sends Castagnoli to the floor. Austin then hits a Fosbury Flop. Austin then hits a springboard guillotine leg drop on Castagnoli for two. Castagnoli nearly stuns Austin with an uppercut counter to the Fold, but Austin gets him with a sunset flip. Another springboard is countered with Castagnoli’s big uppercut, but he only gets a near fall.
Castagnoli’s Giant Swing is then countered as Austin rolls him down to the mat and traps him in a headscissor choke. Castagnoli then fights out of it, stands up straight and muscles Austin into a high angle half-German suplex. Castagnoli’s lariat then fails thanks to a big roundhouse kick to the jaw, but Castagnoli hits Austin with a pop-up uppercut for the win.

Tag Team Match: The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter) vs. Viva Van and VertVixen
The match starts off with The Brawling Birds dominating their opponents. Jamie Hayter is then in the match and she is rocked by their opponents. After running through Van and Vixen, Hayter nails Vixen with an enziguiri and she tags out to Alex Windsor. The Birds then hit VertVixen with a double headbutt and they follow it up with a double splash. They then hit 2 Birds, 1 Stone for the win.

After the match, Divine Dominion’s music hits and they draw The Birds’ attention to the stage. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross then jump them from behind and send Windsor onto the timekeeper’s table.
We then get a video package highlighting the Darby Allin/Kevin Knight feud. Allin says he wants Knight with the TNT Championship on the line at Wembley Stadium in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.
Orange Cassidy then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Matt Sydal follows.

The match starts off with both men locking up. Both men then go back and forth. Cassidy then catches Sydal out of his standing moonsault with a schoolboy. Sydal then avoids Cassidy’s attempt at the move and finally hits it for a two count. Both men then brawl on the top and knock each other off, sending them both crashing to the floor. Sydal then hits Cassidy with a series of kicks. Sydal then hits Cassidy with a Question Mark Kick that drops him in the middle of the mat. Cassidy then responds with a crossbody off the top, but his tilt-a-whirl DDT is blocked. He then turns it into a Stundog Millionaire for a two count.
Sydal’s kicks then fires up Cassidy, leading to him putting his hands in his pockets. Sydal’s next series of strikes then misses and Cassidy sends him to the floor with a no-hands John Woo dropkick. He then hits a tilt-a-whirl DDT back in the ring, but only gets a near fall. Orange Punch then fails as Sydal counters into a pinfall. Sydal then goes up top for his Shooting Star Press, but Cassidy gets to his feet and hits Sydal with a Beach Break for the win.

We then see Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley in the backstage area. Moxley calls Castagnoli a machine and says “altitude is a myth.” Moxley then says he’s given up the Continental Championship for the tournament. Moxley then calls “Jungle” Jack Perry a hungry young predator. Moxley then says he does not like that Perry has teamed up tonight with the Bang Bang Gang to wrestle the Death Riders. Moxley then says it’s a bad night for your new friends and Castagnoli says, “Against The World.”
The Rascalz then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and their opponents are already in the ring.
Tag Team Match: The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) vs. Aaron Solo and Steve Fuentes
The match starts off with Wentz and Solo. Wentz then works on his arm and hits a cutter. Xavier then tags in and they double team Solo. Fuentes then charges at them and they tee off on him in the corner. Wentz then hits a double stomp over Xavier’s head. The Rascalz then hit a Hot Fire Flame for the win.

After the match, The Rascalz cut a promo. Xavier talks about winning mile high madness last time. He then says no one knows about being a mile high better than The Rascalz. He then says The Rascalz have shown they’re one of the best trios and best tag times. Reed then takes the mic and says singles action. He then calls out Mike Bailey and Bailey makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
Singles Match: “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. The Rascalz’s Myron Reed
The match starts off with both men locking up. Reed and Bailey then trade kicks for a bit before catching each other’s legs and placing each other down, shaking hands. Bailey then gets the advantage with his stepping kick combo. Reed then baits Bailey into the ropes for a leaping leg drop and follows it up with a sunset flip. He then hits a springboard dropkick that hammers Bailey and sends him to the floor. As Reed goes for a dive, Bailey moves the very last second. Bailey is now on the apron and he leapfrogs Reed for a springboard moonsault.
Bailey then goes for a Shooting Star Knee Press from the apron, but Reed rolls in the ring. Reed’s leaping cutter is then countered as Bailey blocks and nails Reed with a superkick. A springboard tornillo then hits, but Bailey seemingly tweaks his knee and can hardly walk. Bailey then powers through the pain and sends Reed crashing to the mat with a top rope Frankensteiner. Reed then crawls to the other side of the ring and counters the spinning windmill kick with a handspring cutter. Bailey then hits Reed with a mule kick, but Reed pulls Bailey out of an Ultima Weapon in mid-air with a cutter.
Reed then hits a big dive over the post on Bailey. Reed then goes for a splash, but Bailey rolls out of the way and hits him with a Moonsault Powerslam for the win.

The Dogs then cut a promo on the entire tag team division, even their The Death Riders. They say they’re the best tag team in pro wrestling today and they’re going to run through whoever they need to to win the tag titles. David Finlay then asks, “Who let the dogs out?” and Clark Connors answers, “We did.”
Persephone and Hikaru Shida then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Hyan and Maya World follow.
Tag Team Match: AEW TBS Champion Maya World and Hyan vs. CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone and Hikaru Shida
The match starts off with all four women in the ring. Persephone then counters Hyan’s sunset flip, nailing her with a dropkick that sends her to the apron, where Shida hammers her with a forearm. World then goes for a suicide dive, but her opponents hit her with a couple of forearms before Persephone sends her into the barricade. Persephone and Shida are now taking turns punishing Hyan in their corner. World is on fire, taking out both Persephone and Shida. Hyan then hits Shida in the corner with a Snake Eyes and she tilt-a-whirl headscissors her own partner into Shida for a cannonball.
As World and Hyan go for their finish, Persephone pulls World to the floor. Shida then sends Hyan into Persephone’s missile dropkick and she follows it up with a Falcon Arrow. Hyan then blocks Shida’s Katana and they hit Shida with a Glam Slam/leaping flatliner combination. Persephone then has to break up the pin and she and World brawl to the floor. Back in the ring, Hyan knocks the wind out of Shida with a spear for a near fall. Hyan’s Chicken Wing finish is then countered as Shida hits her with a double arm-trapped Tombstone Piledriver for the win.

We then head to the back, where Kevin Knight isn’t exactly thrilled with the idea of defending the TNT Championship against Darby Allin and instead challenges Chris Jericho to a title match on Wednesday. Knight then says maybe after that we’ll see what Darby wants.
We then get a video package hyping up Konosuke Takeshita competing in the G1.
Bang Bang Gang and Jack Perry then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and The Death Riders follow.
8-Man Tag Team Match: The Elite’s “Jungle” Jack Perry and Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) vs. The Death Riders (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, “The Bastard” PAC and Wheeler Yuta)
The match starts off with all eight men staring each other down. Jack Perry then wants Jon Moxley, whom he faces in the tournament on Wednesday. Moxley then tags out to Wheeler Yuta, who Perry and the Gunns immediately take to their corner. Perry and the Bang Bang Gang then get their time to shine as they send the Death Riders to the floor. PAC and Juice Robinson then roll back in as the legal men. The Death Riders then knock their opponents off their side and drag Robinson into their corner for a four-man stomping. Robinson then responds with a leaping crescent kick to Garcia and tags out to Perry.
Moxley is then tagged in as well and he is laid out with a big running forearm from Perry. Perry then stops a piledriver attempt and both men lay each other out with clotheslines. Austin Gunn then trips up the freshly tagged Wheeler Yuta with a sliding leg trip and follows it up with a facebuster. The Bang Bang Gang then take over when Colten hits Yuta with a Fameasser, but the Death Riders break up the pinfall. Colten is then flattened in the corner by the Death Riders’ corner beatdown. Robinson then runs in, saving Colten from further damage with big jabs to each man.
Colten then hits Yuta with a Mark of Excellence, but Moxley nails him with a cutter. Perry then follows it up with a superkick and a big moonsault to the floor. Marina Shafir then distracts the referee just as the Gunns go for 3:10 to Yuma. The Dogs then run in and pull Austin into the post crotch-first. Yuta then low-blows Colten and Garcia sends Colten into Yuta’s Busaiku Knee for the win.

After the match, Perry nails Yuta with a running knee strike, sending the Death Riders scurrying to the floor.
We then head to the back, where Mike Bailey is hyped about his win and even his fantastic close loss earlier on Dynamite. Bailey is then met by Nick Wayne, who promises to show Bailey how to take an opportunity and run with it when he beats MJF on Wednesday and earns the #2 spot in the Casino Gauntlet.
AEW then honors the late great Dory Funk Jr. with several photos of his career over the decades.
We then head to the back, where Shane Taylor Promotions meets with the Hurt Business. They then pay the trio for their services and vow to make big money together.
The matches for next week’s episode of AEW Collision are then revealed, especially the Continental Cup Tournament matches.
We then get a promo from “Jungle” Jack Perry backstage, who promises to dethrone Jon Moxley when he eliminates the Continental Champion from the Continental Challenger’s Cup. Jay White will also face David Finlay in one of the first round matches next week.
Jake Doyle then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Eddie Kingston follows.
AEW Continental Cup Tournament First Round Match: Don Callis Family’s Jake Doyle vs. “The Mad King” Eddie Kingston
The match starts off with both men locking up. Jake Doyle then dominates Eddie Kingston, nearly forcing the referee to stop things when Kingston struggles to stand up in the ropes. Doyle then follows Kingston to the floor by hitting a big splash against the barricade. Kingston then responds with a series of headbutts to Doyle. Kingston then hits a chop to Doyle, but it doesn’t affect Doyle. Doyle then hits Kingston with a big slam. A big clothesline then rocks Kingston, who responds with his quick chops. Doyle then picks Kingston up for the Oklahoma Stampede/Running powerslam combination and hits it for a two count as Kingston kicks out.
Kingston then hits a big dive and follows it up with an exploder suplex. Doyle then kicks out at two, but he is hurting. Doyle then hits Kingston with a running clothesline to the back of the head, but it only gets a near fall. Kingston then avoids a powerbomb and he hits Doyle with a back suplex. Kingston then misses a Uriken and Doyle hits him with a sit-out powerbomb. Kingston then kicks out, but he is not looking okay. Doyle then nails Kingston again, but Kingston responds with a Uriken and follows it up with another one. Kingston then traps Doyle in a modified Dragon Sleeper and Doyle has no choice but to tap.

After the match, Kingston celebrates and stands tall as the show comes to a close.
