Tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, airing May 8, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit, Michigan. AEW Collision Results (5/8/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us. AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm’s music then hits and she rises up from the seat area with the spot light on her. Storm says so many men have taken a shot at her and she feels like Abraham Lincoln. Storm then talks about how it was first sweaty and painful, but she wanted more. Storm then says one day it will not end well with her, but it is what she was born to do. Storm then tells the fans to get their minds out of the gutter. Storm then says the best bang is nothing compared to fighting for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Storm then says she is not waiting in line for next CEO’s and next week. Storm then says let’s get timeless. Storm then disappears down into the seats.

We then head to the back, where we see Paragon (AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong) being interviewed by Lexy Nair. O’Reilly and Strong talk about the disappointment they had in losing to FTR, but Adam Cole assures them that it wouldn’t be long before they were back at the top. The Grizzled Young Veterans then show up to challenge them, saying they forgot what it was like to fight for their spot and they will provide a fight to remind them.

Ricochet then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Angélico follows.

Singles Match: Ricochet vs. Angélico

The match starts off with Ricochet jawing at Angélico. Ricochet then snaps Angélico over, taking him down and attempting to cover him, but Angélico kicks out at two. Angélico then takes down Ricochet and tries to pin him, but Ricochet kicks out at one. Angélico then grabs the arm of Ricochet and sends him down. Ricochet is up, but Angélico gets Ricochet into a full arm drag twist. Ricochet then goes to the apron and sends Angélico to the floor. Ricochet then leaps over the ropes, landing on Angélico. Ricochet then grabs a chair and chases Angélico.

Ricochet is up on the top rope and comes down as Angélico moves out of the way. Ricochet then nails Angélico with a big shot as he picks up Ricochet and slams him down. The referee then begins the ten count. Both men are up before ten. Angélico then hits Ricochet with repeated shots, then follows it up with a big lariat. Angélico then locks up Ricochet and slaps him across the head. Angélico then picks up Ricochet and slams him down. Angélico then locks in a half crab, but Ricochet makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Ricochet then leaps over the ropes, hitting a big clothesline on Angélico. Ricochet then picks up Angélico and slams him down. Ricochet then hits the spirit gun on Angélico for the win.

After the match, Ricochet grabs a mic and says go ahead he can’t hear the fans. Ricochet then tells the fans he welcomes their boos because that means nothing to him. Ricochet then says if you cheer for the Detroit Lions you are dumb as hell. Ricochet then says the Eagles won the super bowl. Ricochet then says he has been in AEW for almost a year and names off all the AEW talent he has beat. Zach Gowen is then shown at ringside. Ricochet then calls him a legend and says growing up he was a huge fan and watch big Brock beat him all up and down the ring. Ricochet then asks Zach if he has leg up in the fight up. Ricochet then taunts Gowen and pushes him. Security then comes down and Ricochet takes them out and tosses one of them into the barricade, one into the steel steps and the other in the ring. Ricochet then pulls out a scissors and cuts the hair of the security guard. Gowen then jumps the barricade and grabs the scissors from Ricochet. As Gowen is looking at the fans, Ricochet nails the leg of Gowen and takes him down with a spirit gun. Ricochet then grabs the prosthetic leg of Gowen and leaves the ring with it as Gowen is down. Ricochet is then shown holding up the leg and Ricochet mocks Gowen.

Don Callis Family then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and The Outrunners, AR Fox and Bandido follow.

All Star 8-Man Tag Team Match: ROH World Champion Bandido, AR Fox and The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) vs. The Don Callis Family (“The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, Rocky “Azucar” Romero, Trent Beretta and “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer)

The match starts off with all eight men wasting no time in going after each other and brawling. The Outrunners then come in and double team RPG Vice, hitting a clothesline and bulldog combo on both men. Lance Archer then comes in and chokeslams both men, then starts working over Magnum.

Magnum then manages to roll into a tag against Bandido who hit an incredible torneo off the turnbuckle on Fletcher. Roponggi Vice then tries to tag out Bandido, but he low bridges them. Bandido then tries to do the same with Archer, who just stops and stomps him, but is tossed over the ropes by the Outrunners. AR Fox then launches himself over the top rope on the shoulders of Bandido, and Bandido jumps over the ropes onto everyone.

Bandido then goes for the 21-plex on Fletcher, but Fletcher counters into a dragon suplex, which Bandido counters by landing on his feet and going for a suplex. Fletcher then responds with one of his own and Bandido tags out to Fox, who hits a cannonball on Fletcher and a DDT on Archer. Fox then hits a triangle dropkick on Romero, rolls backwards into a cutter on Fletcher, ducks a PK from Romero, then hit a cutter on Romero. Fox then hit a cutter on Romero and Beretta, but is cut off by Archer, who chokeslams him off the top rope and RPG Vice hit the Jackal Driver for the win.

We then get a recap of Ricochet laying out Zach Gowen and taking his prosthetic leg. It is then announced that Ricochet will face Zach Gowen on Dynamite next week, along with Jon Moxley vs. Samoa Joe.

We then get a promo video on Jon Moxley and Samoa Joe.

We then head to the back, where Jon Moxley is cutting a promo about the cage match with Samoa Joe. Moxley says he knew he was going to get beat up, but could Joe really keep going long enough to beat him. Moxley then promises that no matter what Joe has done, he had been through worse. Moxley then says he faced demons that keep people up at night and he was going to take the fight to Joe. Moxley then says he will be the last man standing against Joe and there is no place he would rather be.

Anthony Bowens then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Lee Johnson follows.

Singles Match: “The Pride of Professional Wrestling” “The 5 Tool Player” Anthony Bowens vs. “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson

The match starts off with both men locking up. Bowen then grabs the arm of Lee, who gets out of the hold. Bowens then takes down Lee and covers him for only a two count. Bowens then rolls up Lee, but Lee kicks out at two. Bowens then slaps Lee in the face and chops him in the chest repeatedly. Bowens then kicks Lee as the referee calls for a clean break. Lee then heads to the outside and Bowens follows. Lee then backs into Billy Gunn. Lee then jaws with Gunn and turns around as Bowens nails him and sends him into the barricade. Lee then makes his way back in the ring and Bowens drops Lee with a fameasser. Bowen then picks up Lee and drops him. Bowens then covers Lee for only a two count. Lee then comes back and sends Bowens to the floor and leaps over the ropes landing on Bowens. Lee and Blake then mock The Acclaimed. Both men are back in the ring as Bowens slaps and kicks Lee. As Bowens is going for his finisher, Blake distracts him, but Bowens ends up nailing Lee and hits him with the Mollywhop for the win. Blake Christian gets in the ring as Gunn sends him to the floor.

After the match, Bowens grabs a mic and says what you just saw was the IT factor of professional wrestling. Bowens then says throw them up and make some noise and Bowens and Gunn do the scissor.

The Gates of Agony then make their way down to the ring. Bishop Kaun grabs a mic and says Big Bill and Bryan Keith aren’t going to redeem themselves by beating them. Toa Liona then says he wanted to fight right now and the Learning Tree make their way down to the ring and start brawling with The Gates of Agony. Liona then charges so fast at Bill that he crashes into the barricade and falls into the front row. Kaun then grabs Keith and hits a Death Valley Driver off the stage through two tables on Keith. Liona then spears Bill off the other side of the stage through another set of tables. Officials then come down to check on all four men.

We then get a video package from last night’s AEW Dynamite featuring Anna Jay, Harley Cameron, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.

We then get a recap video for Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander, which shows their friendship, the turn of Statlander and Nightingale challenging her to a match for tonight.

Kris Statlander then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Willow Nightingale follows.

Singles Match: Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander

The match starts off with both women pushing each other. Willow then sends Kris down as Willow puts Kris in a headlock. Willow then sends Kris down by pulling the tights. Kris then goes from behind to grab Willow, but she counters and slams Kris down. Willow then mocks Kris as Statlander slaps Willow and sends her down. Kris then covers Willow for only a two count. Both women then slap each other in the face and things turn into a slug fest. Willow then sends Kris down after a big punch to the jaw. Willow then grabs Kris and sends her head into the turnbuckle, then snaps her over. Kris then rolls up Willow and covers her for only a two count. Willow then kicks Willow, who goes down. Kris then covers Willow, but she kicks out at two. Both women then roll each other up for pin attempts. Kris then leaps off the ropes and hits Willow with a big back elbow. Willow then comes back and hits Kris with a big pounce, sending Kris to the floor. Willow then comes off the apron and hits Kris with a big cannonball onto the floor. Willow then picks up Kris, but Kris reverses it and suplexes Willow.

Willow then suplexes Kris and the action is back in the ring. Kris then fires back and both women take each other out with clotheslines. Kris then nails Willow, but Willow comes back with a big spinebuster on Kris and covers her for only a two count. Willow then nails Kris in the corner and Statlander attempts to fight back, but Willow counters and picks her up. Statlander then rolls Willow up for only a two count. Statlander then hits Willow with a big axe kick and covers her for only a two count. Kris then picks up Nightingale, but Willow counters with a death valley driver for a near fall.

Willow has Statlander in the corner and both women are up on the top rope. Statlander then superplexes Nightingale and both women hit hard. Statlander then goes for a discus lariat, but Willow counters and powerbombs Kris onto the floor. Wheeler Yuta then comes out. Marina Shafir then hits the ring and chokes out Willow, while the referee is checking on Statlander. Statlander then gets back in the ring. Statlander then picks up Willow and drops her on her head for the win.

We then get a video package hying up the return of Skye Blue next week on Beach Break.

We then get a video package recapping the in-ring segment between “Hangman” Adam Page and Will Ospreay.

Don Callis, Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night Dark Order is already waiting for them.

Tag Team Match: Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno) vs. The Don Callis Family (“The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita and “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander)

The match starts off with Takeshita taking out Alex Reynolds as Josh Alexander and Takeshita double team Evil Uno on the floor. Takeshita is then tagged in as he picks up Reynolds, who tries to fight back. Reynolds then tags in Uno, who sends Takeshita down. Takeshita then recovers as he tags in Alexander, who drops Reynolds. Alexander and Takeshita then double team Reynolds with knee strikes. Alexander then picks up Reynolds and drops him with a C4 Spike for the win.

After the match, Callis stomps on Uno and Reynolds.

We then get a video package with MJF and The Hurt Syndicate. MJF gets his answer on Wednesday’s Dynamite if he will join The Hurt Syndicate.

Mike Bailey then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Dralistico follows.

Singles Match: “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. La Facción Ingobernable’s Dralistico

The match starts off with Dralistico going after Bailey and sending him into the corner. Bailey is up and Dralistico runs the ropes. Bailey then sends Dralistico to the floor. Dralistico then picks up Bailey, but Bailey lands on the apron and comes off the apron with a big moonsault onto Dralistico. Bailey then hits the ring to break the ten count and goes to the floor and chops Dralistico. As Bailey grabs Dralistico, he puts the thumbs to the eyes of Bailey and sends him into the steel steps.

Dralistico then kicks Bailey and sends him down. Bailey is back up and kicks Dralistico and chops him. Dralistico then fires back and both men exchange chops and kicks. Both men then exchange kicks again. Bailey then nails Dralistico with a big thrust kick, sending him down. Bailey then hits a running shooting star on Dralistico and covers Dralistico for only a two count. Bailey then goes to the top and comes down with a big 450, but Dralistico moves and Bailey lands on his feet. Bailey then hits Dralistico with a big Canadian Destroyer. Dralistico then recovers and kicks Bailey in the back of the head, sending him down on the apron and rolls in the ring. Bailey then nails Dralistico with a big spin kick for the win.

After the match, RUSH makes his way out and points at Bailey, who calls him to come in the ring.

Daniel Garcia then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and FTR and Stokely Hathaway follows.

Singles Match: Daniel Garcia vs. FTR’s Dax “The Axe” Harwood

The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Garcia then goes after Dax and sends him in the corner, patting his head. Both men then jaw at each other and lock up as Dax sends Garcia into the corner. Dax then nails Garcia and sends him down as the referee calls for a clean break. Dax then nails Garcia with a big chop. Garcia then fights back, but its not enough as Dax nails Garcia again with huge chops. Garcia then fights back and sends Dax against the ropes, who tackles Dax and pounds on his head. Garcia then sends Dax to the corner, but Dax comes back and drops Garcia on his head, then nails him in the head with his knee. Dax then goes for a piledriver, but Garcia stops him.

Garcia then rolls to the floor, but Dax goes to the outside and picks up Garcia for a piledriver. Garcia then counters and sends Dax into the ring post head first. Garcia then rolls into the ring to break the ten count. Garcia then rolls out as Dax is bleeding sitting on a chair. Garcia then runs at Dax and hits him with a big dropkick, then follows it up with a big running knee lift. As Garcia goes for another knee, Cash Wheeler steps in, which allows Dax to clothesline Garcia. Garcia then makes it back in the ring. Dax then grabs the ring bell, but the referee catches it. As Hathaway distracts the referee, Cash takes out Garcia. Matt Menard then makes his way out and pummels on Wheeler.

Garcia then manages to cradle Harwood for a two count. Harwood then ties Garcia in the ropes and beats on him before hitting a Randy Orton style DDT from the middle ropes, but Garcia kicks out. Harwood then slaps Garcia, but Garcia hits several overhead chops that leaves Harwood stunned. Garcia then hits two hard lariats, but Harwood stays standing. Harwood then hits a hard forearm, but Garcia responds with a lariat.

Harwood then pulls off the turnbuckle pad trying to block Garcia from hitting a back suplex. Garcia then goes for the Dragon Tamer, but Harwood shoves Garcia off and he crashed face first into the exposed turnbuckle. Harwood then hits a slingshot powerbomb for a two count. Harwood. then goes to the top rope, but Garcia manages to cut him off and hits a top rope superplex before rolling into a standing position. Garcia then places Harwood back on the top rope and hits him with a top rope superplex multiple times and Harwood kicks out at two.

Garcia then nails Harwood with several forearms and sends Harwood into the crowd. Garcia and Harwood then brawl all around the audience, ending up behind the announcers. Harwood then slaps the headset of Nigel McGuinness. Harwood then shoves McGuinness after McGuinness refused to fight with him, saying that he was retired. McGuinness then gets into the ring and he and Garcia clears the ring of Harwood and Wheeler.

The Singles Match ends in a No Contest!

After the match, the babyfaces stand tall and get the upperhand as the show comes to a close.
