Tonight’s AEW Collision, airing January 25, 2025, brings an action-packed homecoming edition live from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The AEW International Championship is on the line as Konosuke Takeshita defends against Katsuyori Shibata, while Deonna Purrazzo, Queen Aminata, Yuka Sakazaki, and Serena Deeb battle for a shot at Mercedes Mone’s TBS Championship. Mariah May and Toni Storm meet face-to-face ahead of their upcoming AEW Women’s Championship match at Grand Slam: Australia.

AEW Collision Results (1/25/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with The Patriarchy, Toni Storm, AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May and Samoa Joe hyping up Collision and cutting their own promos.

Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness and Jim Ross then welcomes us to the show and we get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a Singles Match. HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata make their way out to even the odds as The Patriarchy looks to attack Joe prior to the match.

Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. The Patriarchy’s Nick Wayne

The match starts off with both men locking up. Wayne then attempts a shoulder block on Joe, but Joe won’t go down. Wayne then runs the ropes, but Joe stops him and trips him then nails Wayne with jabs and sends him to the corner and down to the mat. Joe then chops Wayne and sets him up on his shoulder as he goes for a muscle buster, but Wayne pokes Joe in the eyes to break the hold. Wayne then takes Joe down with a dragon screw leg whip. Wayne then works on the left leg of Joe. Wayne then distracts the referee as Christian Cage also works the leg of Joe from the outside.

Joe then recovers and chops Wayne, then rolls to the floor. Wayne is up on the top rope and comes crashing down on Joe, taking him down. Wayne then rolls Joe back in the ring and covers Joe for only a one count. Wayne then kicks Joe and then grabs his left leg, kicking it and flips off the crowd. Wayne then goes for a figure four, but Joe fights out of it. Joe then has Wayne on the top rope as Wayne fights him off. Wayne then drops Joe on his head and covers him for only a two count. Wayne then hits the ropes, but Joe fires back with a big clothesline. Joe then has Wayne up for a muscle buster as HOOK and Shibata stop Christian and Kip Sabian from coming in the ring. Joe then hits Wayne with the muscle buster and covers him for the win.

After the match, Joe, Shibata and HOOK are in the ring as The Patriarchy leave to go to the back. Joe then celebrates his win as the fans chant his name.

We then take a look at what took place on Dynamite this past Wednesday with Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and The Don Callis Family.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Champion vs. Champion Match.

Champion vs. Champion Match: AEW Continental Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada vs. ROH World Television Champion Komander

The match starts off with Komander kicking Okada and following it up with a dropkick. Okada then rakes the eyes of Komander. Komander then recovers and puts Okada in a submission hold. Okada then makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Okada then goes to the floor as Komander takes him down and sends him in the ring. Okada then recovers and hits Komander with a big boot. Okada then nails Komander and Komander heads to the ramp and hits Okada with a big leap over the ropes. Okada then rolls to the floor and hits Komander with a DDT.

Okada then sends Komander to the corner and charges at him as Komander gets a big boot up. Okada then grabs Komander, but Komander counters and drops Okada. Komander then kicks Okada and hits him with a bulldog, then covers him for only a two count. Komander then goes to the top rope as Okada catches him and hits him with a neckbreaker.

Okada then picks up Komander and slams him. Okada then goes to the top and hits Komander with a big elbow. Okada then flips off the fans. Okada then goes for a rainmaker, but Komander counters it. Komander then kicks Okada and drops him on his head. Komander then goes to the top rope as Okada rolls to the floor. Komander then hits Okada with a moonsault on the floor. Okada then recovers and hits Komander with a rainmaker for the win.

After the match Okada shakes the hand of Komander and as Komander turns to leave, Okada takes down Komander from behind with a double ax handle.

We then get a video package looking at the next match of the night, which is a Trios Match.

We then head to the back parking lot as Powerhouse Hobbs waits for Big Bill to arrive. Hobbs and Big Bill then start to brawl. Hobbs then hits Bill with cookie sheets to the head and then grabs him. Hobbs then nails Bill in the head with a garbage can lid. Bill then hits Hobbs, but Hobbs grabs a gate off its hinges and hits Bill with it. Security then shows up as the fans chant let them fight. Bill then tells Hobbs he has got him.

We then see Big Boom! A.J. and Big Justice backstage with Lexy Nair. Before they can really say anything, they are interrupted by The Undisputed Kingdom. Adam Cole does “The Boom” with A.J. and Big Justice before making their way down to the ring.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker vs. The Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly)

The match starts off with Daniel Garcia and Adam Cole locking up. Garcia then works on the arm of Cole with an arm twist. Garcia then takes down Cole and he reverses it. Both men then look to hit each other, but stop and jaw at each other. Strong is then tagged in as Daddy Magic comes in. Strong then locks up Daddy Magic and then twists his arm. Daddy Magic hen twists the arm of Strong and tags in Angelo Parker. Parker then takes down Strong, but Strong comes back and sends Parker in the corner and tags in O’Reilly. O’Reilly puts Parker in a headlock. Daniel Garcia comes in, but he is sent to the floor. O’Reilly then hits Garcia with a knee, but Garcia comes back and takes him down as he jaws with Shane Taylor Promotions.

Daddy Magic then nails O’Reilly with right hands. Garcia is then tagged in and takes it to O’Reilly with right hands of his own. Daddy Magic is then tagged in as he trips O’Reilly. Parker and Daddy Magic then double team Kyle, but Kyle comes back and takes them both down. Kyle then tags in Cole as Garcia is tagged in as well. Both men then exchange strikes. Garcia then picks up Cole and drops him on his back.

Garcia then picks up Cole again, but Cole counters with a neckbreaker. Cole then tags in Strong and Parker is tagged in as well. Strong then drops Parker and hits Daddy Magic, then picks up Parker and drops him. Strong then covers Parker, but Menard breaks up the pin attempt. Kyle and Roderick come in and Parker fights off both men. Garcia then comes in and is sent to the floor. O’Reilly then nails Parker with a big running knee and covers him for the win.

After the match, all men shake hands. It was then announced that we will hear from Big Bill tonight.

We then head to the back, where Max Caster is talking about how his friend and mentor turned their backs on him. Caster then says the response has been overwhelming and he is a survivor and is the best wrestler alive. Caster then issues an open challenge for the best wrestler alive.

We then get a mysterious vignette for Hologram.

We then head to the back, where Top Flight is being interviewed by Lexy Nair. Dante is upset that Lio Rush and Action Andretti aren’t in the building, but Darius isn’t surprised. Darius then goes off on Dante, noting that he never wanted Rush in the group to begin with. Darius then challenges Rush to a match and promises to send him packing again.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he brings out AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May and Toni Storm. Mariah May says when she looks at Storm, she sees nothing and she is nothing. May then says Storm is a joke and a meme. May then says the fans laugh at Storm and then forget about her. May then says she has never cared about Storm and she is just the easiest pawn she used to dominate the entire game. May then says if she has to remind Storm again in Australia, so be it because she will get off humiliating her in her hometown.

Toni Storm then says she isMariah’s biggest fan. Storm then says Mariah is amazing and an inspiration. Storm then says one day she wants to be just like Mariah and hugs her. May mockingly pets Storm before slapping her across the face. May then nails Storm with the title before whipping her with it. Security and referees then eventually get May off Storm and heads to the back, but Storm returns to her timeless persona and says she hasn’t forgotten and everything May has done to her she will feel forever. Storm then says this is her moment in the sun and this is her performance of a lifetime. Storm then says she is going to rip Mariah’s tits off.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: The Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun) vs. The Hounds of Hell (Brody King and Buddy Matthews)

The match starts off with Bishop Kaun and Buddy Matthews locking up. Both men try to take each other down. Both men then run the ropes and trade taking each other down. Liona then tags himself in. Buddy and Liona then lockup as Buddy runs the ropes, but Liona takes him down. Brody is then tagged in. Both men then run at each other and try to take each other down. Both men then slug it out and chop each other. Liona then is hit with a big chop. Liona then tags in Kaun as they double team Brody in the corner. Kaun then chops Brody in the corner. Brody then recovers and sends Liona out and takes Kaun down. Brody then tags in Buddy and he comes in with a flurry of offense. Buddy then sends Kaun to the floor and takes down both Kaun and Liona.

Kaun then sends Brody into the timekeeper’s table. Kaun then goes back in the ring as the Gates of Agony double team Buddy. Buddy fights back and takes out both Gates of Agony. Buddy then makes a tag to Brody. Brody then takes down both Kaun and Liona. Brody then picks up Liona and hits him with a death valley driver.

Brody then goes for a cover on Liona, but Kaun breaks up the pin attempt. Gates of Agony then double team Brody as Buddy comes in to save Brody. Brody then fights back and hits Liona with a boss man slam. Brody then picks up Liona and piledrives him, but Liona gets up. Buddy and Brody then send Kaun to the floor and double team Liona with cannonballs for the win.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing the Costco Guys. Harley Cameron then attempts to sing as Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie show up to interrupt the segment and jaw at Cameron.

Lexy Nair is now backstage with Penelope Ford and Thunder Rosa, who agrees to no physicality. Ford says she is a star and if she has to tear apart a former champion, she will. Ford then challenges Rosa to a match.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is an AEW TBS Championship #1 Contender’s 4-Way Match.

AEW TBS Championship #1 Contender’s 4-Way Match: “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo vs. Queen Aminata vs. Yuka Sakazaki vs. “The Professor” Serena Deeb

The match starts off with Yuka quickly rolling up Aminata, but Aminata kicks out at two. Deonna then gets out of the ring as Yuka and Deeb duke it out. Queen then hits Deeb from behind and suplexes her. Purrazzo returns to the ring and sends Yuka to the floor, then Taya stomps on her. Deeb then nails Deonna and sends her to the floor. Deeb then stomps on Aminata as Deonna comes back in the ring. Deeb then hits Aminata with a neckbreaker, but Deonna takes her down. Yuka then hits a missile dropkick on Deeb and she rolls to the floor. Yuka then goes to the top and takes down Deeb, Aminata and Purrazzo with a big crossbody.

Deonna then puts Aminata in an armbar and rolls her over, but Deonna kicks out at two. Purrazzo and Aminata then take each other down. Yuka is also down in the ring as Deeb is up and she grabs Yuka, but Yuka sends her to the corner. Yuka then climbs to the top and comes down on Deeb with a big crossbody. Yuka then covers Deeb, but Deeb kicks out at two. Deeb then drops Aminata and covers her, but Aminata kicks out at two.

Yuka enters the ring and sends Deeb to the ramp. Aminata and Deeb then fight on the ramp way and the referee looks on as Taya comes in and Deonna and Taya double team Yuka. Harley Cameron then comes in and sends Taya to the floor and takes down Deonna, who then puts an arm bar on Yuka. Yuka then counters and rolls up Deonna for the win.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing the Hounds of Hell. Matthews says when they bark they bark together. Kazuchika Okada then interrupts the interview and tells Buddy they bark like a b***h. Buddy then challenges Okada to a title match, but Okada says no as Buddy calls him a b***h and walks away. Okada then yells that he is no b***h.

Big Bill is in the ring with a mic in hand and says he is going to make sure Powerhouse Hobbs gets locked up. Bill then calls out Hobbs and the music of Hobbs hits as security tries to hold him back, but Hobbs takes out the security. More security then comes out but Hobbs takes them down as well. Hobbs then makes his way down to the ring as Bill and Hobbs brawl. Bill then grabs his backpack and nails Hobbs from behind as Hobbs was on the ramp way. Bill then opens the backpack and brings out some bricks, handcuffs and a knee brace. Bill then takes the handcuffs and pounds Hobbs as his face is busted open. Hobbs is up and both men brawl near the fans.

Hobbs then makes his way to the commentary desk. Bill then picks up a chair and nails Hobbs in the back. Bill then hits Hobbs again in the back with the chair. Hobbs then flips off Bill and he is hit in the mid-section with the chair. Hobbs then tries to make his way to the back, but Bill nails him in the knee. Bill then picks up the knee brace and mocks Hobbs. Bill then punches Hobbs. Bill then picks up a brick. As Bill goes to hit Hobbs, Hobbs gets up and kicks Bill between the legs. Hobbs then picks up Bill and drops him with a belly to back onto a table. We then get a replay as Hobbs and Bill are being checked on.

We then get a vignette of the Don Callis Family taking place in a house around the dinner table. Callis talks about the new alliance between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. Callis then teases a new member will be added to the group.

We then get the entrances of the main event of the night, which is an AEW International Championship Match.

AEW International Championship Match: Don Callis Family’s NEVER Openweight Strong Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata

The match starts off with Shibata grabbing Takeshita and locking him up. Shibata then takes down Takeshita. Takeshita then puts Shibata in a full nelson. Shibata then gets out of the hold, but Takeshita uses his legs to put Shibata in a headlock. Both men then lock up again. Shibata then kicks Takeshita and takes him down, but Takeshita comes back and drops Shibata, then sends him to the floor. Takeshita then grabs Shibata and sends him over the guardrail. Takeshita then places Shibata in a chair and charges at him, but is met with a big boot to the face. Shibata then sets up Takeshita on the chair and kicks him in the face with a big boot.

Shibata then nails Takeshita and chops him repeatedly. Shibata then runs the ropes and hits Takeshita with a running dropkick. Shibata then covers Takeshita, but Takeshita kicks out a two. Shibata then kicks Takeshita in the chest and goes for a kick to the face, but Takeshita ducks it. Takeshita then comes back, but Shibata leg trips Takeshita, taking him down. Both men are down and they go face-to-face as they exchange strikes. Shibata then puts Takeshita in a sleeper hold as Takeshita falls on his back.

Shibata then keeps the sleeper hold on. Takeshita is up and breaks out of the hold and hits Shibata with a Styles Clash. Both men are up and Shibata hits Takeshita with a big forearm shot. Shibata then hits Takeshita and both men locks up in the center of the ring. Shibata then picks up Takeshita, but Takeshita counters. Shibata then applies a sleeper on Takeshita, but Takeshita breaks the hold as Callis interferes while the referee’s back is turned. Takeshita then hits Shibata with a big blue thunder bomb. Takeshita then covers Shibata, but Shibata kicks out a two. Takeshita then kicks Shibata and picks him up, then drops him on his back with a big powerbomb like move. Takeshita then covers Shibata for the win.

After the match, Konosuke Takeshita and Don Callis celebrate as the show comes to a close.
