Moxley arrives for the match in his new sports car. The winner of this match will face the winner of tonight’s main event next week, with the winner of that becoming number one contender.

Sammy guevara vs. jon moxley

Guevara dropkicks Moxley as he comes into the ring. Sammy whips Moxley with chops, but Jon fires back with a stiff lariat. Moxley hits a snapma followed by an elbow drop for a two-count.

Moxley chokes Guevara in the corner but eats an enziguri followed by a springboard cutter from the Spanish God. Moxley rolls to the floor but Guevara follows him with a Fosbury flop before posing for the camera.

Back in the ring, Guevara trash-talks but eats an uppercut followed by a running knee. Jon with a release vertical suplex for a near-fall. Moxley bides his time, does a cut-throat taunt, then goes for a Paradigm Shift on the apron but Guevara blocks it and hits a pump kick. Guevara goes to the top and dives off with a Meteora on Moxley on the apron! Guevara throws Moxley into the ring steps before we head to the break.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and Mox has just hit Sammy with a superplex. They get up and Jon delivers forearm and forearm, then looks for a German suplex but Guevara lands on his feet and hits a shooting star press. Guevara looks for a superkick but Moxley avoids it.

Guevar swings a kick but nobody’s home. Moxley hits an incredible knockout shot but Guevara kicks out. Moxley drags Guevara to the top rope and wants a super Paradigm Shift but Sammy counters with a slam. Sammy lifts Moxley, who counters and looks for another Paradigm Shift, but Guevara counters with a knee to the jaw for a near-fall. Sammy takes to the top rope and jumps for a moonsault but Moxley counters by grabbing him with a rear naked choke and Sammy taps!

Winner: Jon Moxley

Almost as soon as the match ends, Jericho’s music plays, then the lights go out. The lights come back and Moxley is surrounded by Santana, Ortiz, Jericho, and Hager. He attacks them but quickly gets beaten down. The Inner Circle pounds Moxley into the mat. Hager chokes Moxley with a D’Arce Choke, while Jericho whips him with his belt. Santana and Ortiz hold Moxley, while Hager hits a running knee to the groin. Santana and Ortiz hold Moxley while Guevara slaps him. Jericho removes a spike from his jacket and impales Moxley’s eye with it.

*Commercial Break*

The camera cuts backstage to “a chaotic scene”, in which Jericho is interviewed. He says tonight was not his fault. This was the fault of Jon Moxley’s fault because they offered him the keys to the kingdom but he slapped in him the face. He says it was that reckless abandon that landed Moxley where he is tonight. So the winner of Darby Allin and PAC tonight should thank him because they get to face him, seeing as Moxley can’t compete anymore. Jericho then says next week they face Jurassic Express on his cruise ship, and they’re gonna pummel them.

MJF, The Butcher & The Blade W/The Bunny & Wardlow Vs. Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, & Diamond Dallas Page

MJF and DDP start the match but, of course, MJF tags The Butcher, then leaves the ring and gets in the crowd. DDP tags QT Marshall, so MJF jumps back on the apron and tags himself in. Marshall gets kicked in the gut, then dropped with a shoulder. MJF flips over Marshall, motions for a hand-shake but Marshall gives him a finger.

MJF poke Marshall in the eye and tags The Blade. Marshall ducks The Blade and hits a springboard crossbody. Tag to Dustin, who comes in hot with a big crossbody, uppercut, knee, then MJF sucker punches him with his ring on. The Blade beats Dustin down and throws him from the ring. Wardlow uses a distracted referee to clothesline DDP and toss him back in the ring.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and MJF is beating Rhodes around the ring. Dustin fires back with a low-blow, then knocks B&B from the apron. He looks to make a tag but Butcher pulls Marshall from the apron. Blade runs in and gets caught with a powerslam, and the tag is made to DDP.

The pensioner punches MJF and slams his head into the buckles ten times. Lariat to Butcher, then one to Blade as well. Diamond Cutter to The Butcher, then looks to hit MJF with one, but he gets low-blowed. Rhodes tags in and hits a Canadian Destroyer, then DDP hits the Diamond Cutter and Rhodes covers but The Blade breaks it up.

Dustin tags QT Marshall, then dives onto Blade and Butcher with a cannonball Marshall hits the QT Special to them at ringside. The Bunny gets on the apron but DDP shoves her off. DDP climbs to the top rope and dives onto everyone at ringside! MJF rolls-up QT Marshall for the win!

Winners: MJF, The Blade & The Butcher

SCU is interviewed backstage and ask how they feel about facing Hangman Page and Kenny Omega. Page interrupts them just as they start talking and barges into Daniels. They argue until Omega comes up and calms things down. Omega says fist bumps them and shakes hands, then Page says he’ll kick their asses.

*Commercial Break*

PAC Vs. Darby Allin

The main event gets underway and both men circle each other. PAC takes a headlock, gets shot off and drops Allin with a shoulder. They dodge each other over and over until Allin connects with a front dropkick. Allin takes a headlock, gets shot off and PAC lands a backbreaker. PAC chokes Darby in the corner with his boot.

PAC whips Allin to the buckles hard, then gets boots. Darby hits a shotgun dropkick into the corner and PAC rolls to the outside. Darby hits a bottom rope suicide dive then sends PAC into the barricade. Allin throws PAC in the ring but he rolls right back out, so Darby hits another suicide dive. Darby gets on the apron and jumps for a hurricanrana but PAC holds him and slams him into the steel steps.

*Commercial Break*

During the commercial break, PAC hit a powerbomb on the steps. Back live and PAC has Darby down in a headlock but he gets to the ropes. PAC kicks him around the ring, then sends him to the outside. PAC runs Darby into the barricade, then back into the ring.

PAC takes to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick for a two-count. PAC lifts Allin onto his shoulders and up the ropes, but Darby counters with a crucifix bomb from the middle rope. Allin hits a coffin drop to the outside and PAC is down on the floor.

PAC gets in the ring at seven, and Allin immediately hits a tilt-a-whirl Stunner, followed by a Code Red for a near-fall. PAC rolls from the ring and Allin looks for a baseball slide but PAC traps him in the apron and hits an enziguiri. PAC sends Allin back into the ring and hits a huge lariat. Darby rolls-up PAC for a near-fall, then they exchange pin attempts.

Allin looks for a springboard coffin drop but PAC counters with a German suplex. PAC hits a huge sit-out powerbomb for a near-fall. PAC climbs the ropes but Allin grabs his legs and climbs up with him. PAC headbutts Darby down, then hits the Black Arrow to the back and that’s that.

Winner: PAC

Tony Schiavone joins PAC in the ring for an interview. PAC tells him to shut-up and tells him to congratulate the new number one contender. Tony says he isn’t that yet, because next week he has to face Jon Moxley. PAC says we all know Moxley is injured, and that will mean a forfeit. PAC says that he is coming for Chris Jericho and when he wins the AEW Chamspionship…

Tony says we gotta go backstage. We see Moxley being loaded into an ambulance but he climbs out with his eye taped up. Moxley stomps towards the stage. He says to PAC that it isn’t going down like that. He’ll be there next week and he will kick PAC’s ass because that title shot belongs to him.
