AEW has added another championship match to Full Gear 2026, and Swerve Strickland is getting another shot at the Trios Titles. The former AEW World Champion will team with The New Level to challenge Hangman Page, Brody King and Bandido on November 14. But there’s still one problem — Swerve wants a Texas Death Match, and Hangman isn’t interested.
The match was confirmed during the October 24 episode of AEW Collision, ahead of Strickland’s match against Myron Reed. Page, King and Bandido will defend the AEW World Trios Championships against Strickland, Kofi and Austin Creed at Full Gear in Phoenix, Arizona.
This is a rematch from WrestleDream, where Page and Brodido defeated Strickland and The New Level in a two-out-of-three falls match to capture the championships. Swerve wasn’t about to let that loss go, and he invoked his rematch clause during the October 21 episode of Dynamite.
However, Strickland wanted to make things much more violent by demanding a Texas Death Match. That’s the same type of match he and Hangman competed in at Full Gear 2023, but Page rejected the idea when Swerve brought it up.
For now, AEW has confirmed the championship rematch without adding the stipulation. That could still change before November 14, especially with the history between Hangman and Swerve.
The Trios Championship match joins an already growing Full Gear lineup. The Young Bucks will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Mark Davis and Jake Doyle, while Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor defend the Women’s World Tag Team Championships against Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron.
AEW Full Gear 2026 takes place Saturday, November 14, in Phoenix, Arizona. Ringside News will have full coverage of the pay-per-view, including live results, match highlights and all the major moments throughout the event.
