Adam Pearce built his reputation by wrestling in many promotions around the world before joining WWE, but he also has his share of critics. He hasn’t wrestled in a long time, but on April Fool’s Day, he made a surprising statement about his in-ring future.
Adam Pearce took to Twitter on April Fool’s Day and claimed that, effective immediately, he was officially adding himself to the active roster and dedicating all his energy and efforts toward a final in-ring comeback. He mentioned that this decision had been on his mind for months, and he was excited to make it official and ended with, “I’m back.”
“Effective today, April 1, 2025, I am adding myself to the active roster and dedicating 100% of my efforts and energy toward a final in-ring comeback.
This decision has been on my heart and in the works for months, and I’m happy to finally make it OFFICIAL. I’m back.”
Adam Pearce has not been a full-time wrestler since 2014, though he has participated in a few storyline matches for WWE since then. However, it’s obvious that this post was nothing more than an April Fool’s joke, so fans shouldn’t take it seriously.
Adam Pearce’s last professional match was on December 21, 2014, and he already made it clear he actually has no intention of setting foot inside the squared circle ever again.
Even though Adam Pearce may never return to wrestling full-time, his way of engaging with fans and joking about a comeback shows how much of an impact he’s had in the wrestling world. Whether he’s wrestling or working behind the scenes, Pearce is still a very important part of WWE, and that’s unlikely to ever change.
