Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are coming for the Death Riders after what went down on AEW Dynamite.
Following this week’s show, Copeland and Cage appeared in a social media promo and challenged PAC and Claudio Castagnoli to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against them at AEW Redemption.
The challenge came after the Death Riders attacked both men on Dynamite. Rather than wait for another ambush, Copeland and Cage decided to settle the issue inside the ring with the titles on the line. AEW wasted no time making it official, confirming Copeland and Cage versus PAC and Castagnoli for the July 26 pay-per-view in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
The match gives Copeland and Cage a chance to capture championship gold together while getting revenge on the group that left them laid out. PAC and Castagnoli will now have to deal with one of the most experienced tag teams in wrestling history.
The updated AEW Redemption card includes:
- AEW World Championship: Kevin Knight vs. Kenny Omega (c)
- AEW World Tag Team Championships: Adam Copeland and Christian Cage vs. PAC and Claudio Castagnoli (c)
- AEW International Championship: Bandido vs. Kyle Fletcher (c)
- The Painmaker Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa
- AEW National ChampionshipAndrade El Idolo vs. Mark Davis (c)
AEW Redemption is already shaping up to be a loaded night, and the addition of Copeland and Cage challenging for the tag team titles gives the show another major match with a personal issue behind it.
