Lucha Libre AAA presents the special Ola de Calor event live from the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, with a stacked lineup featuring championship matches, major TripleMania implications, and several crossover stars.
AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano will take part in a contract signing ahead of their championship match at TripleMania 34. Dominik won’t defend the title at Ola de Calor, but with both men already at odds, the contract signing could easily turn physical before their title showdown.
The vacant AAA Latin American Championship will also be decided in a Fatal Four-Way Match featuring Damian Priest, La Parka, El Fiscal, and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. The title was vacated after El Hijo del Vikingo suffered an injury, leaving four competitors fighting for the opportunity to become the new champion.
The War Raiders will defend the AAA World Tag Team Championships against Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano of Los Americanos. Erik and Ivar have built momentum as champions, but Los Americanos will be looking to leave Texas with championship gold.
A Triple Threat Match will determine the next challenger for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship as Mini Vikingo faces Nathan Frazer and Jack Cartwheel. A gauntlet match will also determine the next challenger for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at TripleMania 34.
Penta, Rey Fenix, and Dragon Lee will team up against Daga, Angel Garza, and Berto of Los Perros del Mal in six-man tag team action. El Carnicero is also scheduled to make his in-ring debut against a mystery opponent.

Axiom, Mr. Iguana, Noisy Boy and Mascarita Sagrada vs. Lince Dorado, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde and Mini Abismo Negro
Axiom and Joaquin Wilde started the match by trading wristlocks. Wilde gained some momentum, but Axiom stopped him with a dropkick. Wilde responded with a clothesline before tagging in Cruz Del Toro.Axiom avoided a double-team move and tagged in Noisy Boy, who kicked Del Toro in the head. Del Toro slipped outside the ring before sneaking up behind Noisy Boy. He threw him into the corner and tagged in Lince Dorado.
Noisy Boy tagged in Mascarita Sagrada, which drew complaints from Dorado. Dorado eventually picked up Sagrada and slammed him to the mat. Sagrada then tagged in Mr. Iguana, who received a loud reaction before hitting Dorado with a springboard DDT.A brawl broke out, and Mini Abismo Negro dove from the top rope onto several wrestlers at ringside. Del Toro followed with a dive of his own, and Dorado did the same to leave everyone down on the floor.
Back inside the ring, Wilde clotheslined Iguana in the corner. The LWO followed with a double-team suplex, but Wilde only earned a two count. Negro tagged in and hit Iguana with a backbreaker before bringing Dorado back into the match. Dorado knocked Sagrada from the apron and dropped an elbow on Iguana. Iguana fought back with several chops, but Dorado stopped him with a backstabber. Dorado attempted a shooting star press, but Iguana moved and made the hot tag to Sagrada.
Sagrada took out Del Toro and avoided an attack from Wilde. He suplexed Wilde before hitting Dorado with a springboard shoulder tackle. Negro entered and put Sagrada in an airplane spin, but Sagrada countered it into a pin. The referee did not count because Negro was not the legal man.
Noisy Boy hit Dorado with a poisonrana before landing a twisting springboard dive to the outside. Sagrada took down Negro, sent him through the ropes and followed with a springboard dive from the top rope.Del Toro dropkicked Iguana inside the ring before attempting a Phoenix Splash. Iguana moved out of the way, hit a sit-out DDT and made the cover to win the match for his team.

Reina de Reinas Women’s Mystery Gauntlet
Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer came to ringside to watch the match that would determine her challenger at TripleMania. Flammer has held the title for more than 1,000 days and claimed she has beaten everyone during her reign.
Adelicious and Lady Shani started the gauntlet. Adelicious was competing for the first time since February, while Shani entered as a former two-time Reina de Reinas Champion.
They traded wristlocks and technical holds before Shani knocked Adelicious down with a shoulder block. Adelicious avoided a clothesline and responded as they exchanged several nearfalls.
Shani kicked Adelicious in the back, hit a backstabber and worked her over in the corner. She followed with another hard kick, but Adelicious kicked out of the cover.
Adelicious sent Shani into the corner and used a series of handsprings before hitting a stomp. She climbed to the top rope, but Shani avoided a 450 splash and quickly rolled her up for the pin. Lady Shani defeated Adelicious.
Thea Hail entered next and immediately dropkicked Shani. Hail targeted Shani’s arm before hitting a headscissors takedown. Shani rolled outside, but Hail followed with a dive.
Back inside the ring, Shani took control with a kick to the head and scored a two count. She placed Hail in a Boston crab before bending her backward and attempting an armbar.Hail escaped and trapped Shani in an armbar through the ropes. They then exchanged several rolling covers before Hail stacked up Shani for the three count. Thea Hail defeated Lady Shani.
La Catalina entered next and immediately kicked Hail in the face. She followed with a missile dropkick, a hip attack in the corner and a fisherman’s suplex.Hail avoided another hip attack and stomped Catalina. She targeted Catalina’s arm and trapped her fingers beneath the turnbuckle before kicking them.
Hail applied an armbar and dropped a knee onto Catalina’s bent arm. Catalina fought back with clotheslines, a top-rope crossbody and a knee to Hail’s back in the corner.Catalina lifted Hail onto her shoulders, but Hail countered into a Kimura lock. Catalina escaped before Hail applied the hold again. This time, Catalina countered by bridging Hail into a pin for the victory.
La Catalina defeated Thea Hail La Hiedra was the final entrant. Flammer’s Las Tóxicas stablemate came to the ring carrying her Mixed Tag Team Championship and immediately stomped Catalina.La Hiedra continued targeting Catalina’s damaged arm before throwing her into the corner. Catalina fought back with open-handed strikes and sent La Hiedra outside before diving onto her.
Back inside the ring, Catalina hung La Hiedra across the top rope and climbed to the top. La Hiedra recovered and pulled her down to the mat.Catalina blocked a scoop slam, but La Hiedra responded with a face-first slam for a two count. La Hiedra argued with the referee before leaving the ring to grab her championship belt.
The referee stopped La Hiedra from using the belt, but Flammer entered the ring behind his back. Flammer tried to strike Catalina with her title and accidentally hit La Hiedra instead. Catalina took advantage by hitting La Hiedra with a bicycle kick to win the match.
Winner: La Catalina became the #1 contender for the Reina de Reinas Championship
AAA World Tag Team Championship: The War Raiders vs. Los Americanos
Los Americanos earned their title opportunity by winning a four-way match last Saturday. The War Raiders have held the AAA World Tag Team Championships since defeating Psycho Clown and Pagano of Psycho Circus at Noche de los Grandes in May.
Rayo Americano and Erik started the match. Erik slammed Rayo but struggled to keep up with his speed. Rayo tagged in Bravo Americano, and Los Americanos hit Erik with a double-team move. Erik drove Bravo into the corner and tagged in Ivar, who began kicking the smaller challenger. The War Raiders continued working over Bravo with strikes before Erik tagged back into the match.Rayo returned, but the War Raiders immediately double-teamed him in the corner. Rayo fought back until Ivar dropped him with a hard punch and a forearm across the chest.
Rayo attempted a sunset flip, but Ivar dropped down on him. Erik entered, and Rayo briefly tried fighting both champions by himself. Erik eventually stopped him with a knee to the head. Rayo continued fighting until he made the hot tag to Bravo. Bravo took Erik down with a flying clothesline and dropkicked Ivar off the apron. He then slammed Erik and followed with a top-rope crossbody.
Erik tagged in Ivar, who climbed to the top rope. Bravo met him there and attempted a top-rope hurricanrana. Bravo then tagged in Rayo before taking Erik out of the match. Rayo hit Ivar with a Swanton Bomb, but only earned a two count. Ivar responded with a spinning kick to Bravo before Erik took down Rayo with another knee.
Erik threw Ivar into Bravo, but the challengers kicked out at two. The War Raiders attempted a double-team slam, but Bravo escaped and tagged Rayo. Ivar hit Bravo with a DDT, but Los Americanos recovered and double-teamed him. They went for the cover, but Erik broke up the pin at the last second.
Bravo became the legal man, and Los Americanos worked over Ivar until Erik intervened. Bravo avoided an attack in the corner before he and Rayo lifted Ivar onto Bravo’s shoulders. Erik pulled Rayo out of the ring as Bravo hit Ivar with an airplane spin and slam. Bravo followed with a diving headbutt but appeared to knock himself out. Ivar quickly rolled him over and made the cover to retain the titles.
Winners: The War Raiders defeated Los Americanos to retain the AAA World Tag Team Championships
After the match, a replay showed that Erik had secretly passed one of the title belts to Ivar. Bravo landed his diving headbutt directly on the championship, allowing Ivar to steal the victory.
El Carnicero vs. Chris Carter
This marked the in-ring debut of El Carnicero, also known as The Butcher, who has recently been stalking clowns. A video showed Carnicero being transported to the match inside a cage in the back of a pickup truck. Chris Carter never stood a chance. Carnicero was nearly twice his size and threw him around the ring like a rag doll.
Carnicero placed Carter on his shoulders and threw him over the top rope, sending him crashing to the floor. He followed him outside and threw Carter into the ring post.Back inside the ring, Carnicero hit Carter with a chokeslam before choking him with his hands until the referee forced him to stop. Carnicero then repeatedly slammed Carter’s head against the mat, leaving the referee with no choice but to call for the bell.
Winner: El Carnicero vs. Chris Carter ended in a no contest
Carnicero continued attacking Carter after the match and tried to rip at his face. Dave the Clown and Murder Clown ran down to make the save, but Carnicero clotheslined both men and continued the attack. Psycho Clown then entered with a kendo stick and repeatedly struck Carnicero across the back. Psycho eventually clotheslined him over the top rope, but Carnicero landed on his feet. Psycho grabbed a microphone and challenged Carnicero to a Mexican Street Fight at TripleMania. The match will now need to be approved by AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio.
AAA Cruiserweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match: Mini Vikingo vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Jack Cartwheel
The winner of the match would become the #1 contender and challenge Rey Fenix for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship at TripleMania. Jack Cartwheel offered handshakes to Mini Vikingo and Nathan Frazer before the action quickly began. Cartwheel tried to pin both opponents at once, but they each kicked out at two. Frazer was sent outside, leaving Vikingo and Cartwheel alone until Frazer returned with a double dropkick from the turnbuckle.
Frazer worked over both opponents in opposite corners before hitting Vikingo with a dropkick that sent him spinning through the air. He followed with a suplex for a two count. Cartwheel returned with a headscissors on Frazer, a cartwheel attack on Vikingo, a clothesline and a dropkick, but he could not keep either man down. Vikingo then sent both opponents outside and wiped them out with a twisting dive over the top rope.
Cartwheel threw Vikingo into the steel steps and then into the barricade. Frazer caught a charging Cartwheel and hit him with a Spanish Fly from the top of the steps. Back inside, Vikingo caught Frazer with a superkick, but Frazer responded with a kick to the head and an inverted Spanish Fly from the second rope for a two count. Cartwheel returned with a slam and a crucifix pin on Frazer before working over Vikingo in the corner.
Cartwheel powerbombed Frazer before Vikingo attacked him from the turnbuckle. Vikingo hit both men with Meteoras in the corners, but Frazer kicked him to the floor. Cartwheel knocked Frazer from the top rope and hit a tornado moonsault onto Vikingo outside. Frazer then dropkicked Cartwheel into the steps and hit him with a frog splash for another nearfall.
Cartwheel hit Frazer with a bridging German suplex before placing him across his shoulders. Vikingo came down with a double stomp onto both men, leaving everyone on the mat. Once they recovered, they exchanged strikes until Cartwheel sent both opponents outside and took them down with a cartwheel dive over the top rope.
Back inside, Frazer hit Cartwheel with a superplex and a twisting neckbreaker for two. Vikingo later hit Frazer with a Spanish Fly from the top rope. Vikingo pushed Frazer from the ropes into Cartwheel’s arms, but Cartwheel only earned a two count. Vikingo attempted a shooting star press, but Cartwheel kicked him out of the air before rolling him up. Frazer broke up the pin and attempted a splash, but Cartwheel moved. Vikingo then hit Frazer with a 450 splash, but Cartwheel broke up the cover. The bell suddenly rang as the 20-minute time limit expired, forcing the referee to declare the match a draw.
Winner: Mini Vikingo vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Jack Cartwheel ended in a time-limit draw
AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix came to the ring afterward and thanked all three competitors for their incredible match. Fenix then announced that he would defend his title against Vikingo, Frazer and Cartwheel in a Fatal Four-Way Match at TripleMania Night 2.
AAA Latin American Championship: El Fiscal vs. Damian Priest vs. La Parka vs. El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.
Before the match, the brand-new AAA Latin American Championship belt was shown to the crowd. The match also marked Damian Priest’s AAA debut. I was pulling for La Parka, but all four men had a chance to walk away with the title.
The bell rang, and Priest stepped back as the other three men attacked him. Priest fought them off until El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and La Parka clotheslined him out of the ring. El Fiscal followed with a dive before La Parka hit Wagner with a backbreaker. Priest returned and cleared the ring with several heavy strikes.
Priest walked across the top rope like The Undertaker before hitting Wagner and Fiscal with a crossbody. He struck all three opponents in separate corners, threw Wagner outside and hit La Parka with a Falcon Arrow followed by a running slam. Fiscal and Wagner broke up the cover. Wagner later caught Priest with a superkick and brainbuster before hitting Fiscal with a cannonball outside and Priest with a frog splash for two.
Fiscal stopped Wagner with a clothesline, scoop slammed Priest and hit Wagner with a springboard crossbody. La Parka threw Wagner outside, suplexed Fiscal into the corner and hit separate dives onto Priest and Fiscal. Back inside, La Parka hit Wagner with a Codebreaker for two. Fiscal interrupted another attack, but Wagner headbutted him and hit La Parka with a jumping DDT. Priest returned with a clothesline that left all four men down.
Everyone tried to take down Priest, but he sent Wagner outside. La Parka caught Priest with a Spanish Fly from the turnbuckle before falling to the floor. Priest then hit Fiscal and Wagner with separate Razor’s Edges. He dropped his straps and chokeslammed Fiscal, but La Parka broke up the pin. La Parka followed with the Bonebreaker on Fiscal and covered him to become the new AAA Latin American Champion.
Winner: La Parka defeated El Fiscal, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Damian Priest to win the AAA Latin American Championship
After the match, La Parka invited a child into the ring to dance with him and celebrate his championship victory.
