AAA on FOX Results (8/15/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens with a replay package recapping last week’s drama between Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano. Corey Graves welcomes fans to the show as several talents are shown arriving at the venue, including Penta and Rey Fenix. La Parka is shown dancing backstage, while Psycho Clown walks around the arena.
The camera then cuts to Dominik Mysterio walking through the venue before he comes face-to-face with El Grande Americano. The two immediately start throwing punches and brawl backstage. The brawl spills all the way into the arena and eventually into the ring. They continue fighting back on the outside, where El Grande Americano gets the upper hand and starts laying into Dominik Mysterio.
Rey Mysterio comes out and tries to break things up, but the distraction allows Dominik to take control. Rey gets in Dominik’s face, and Dominik shoves his father away. The two come face-to-face again before Dominik shoves Rey a second time and exits the ring.
El Grande Americano gets on the mic and says his issue with Dominik Mysterio is no longer personal because it has become something much bigger. He questions how fans will remember this era and whether Dominik will ever be compared to legends like his own father, Rey Mysterio.
Americano says that will never happen because the legends before Dominik gave everything to wrestling, while Dominik has spent his career taking away from it. He says Dominik calls himself a lucha king, but a real king never runs from a fight and will fight for his crown, his people and his country.
Americano says that is the difference between them because championship or not, he is still the king and the one true El Americano. He then turns his attention to TripleMania in Mexico City, saying the event returns home for the Mexican legends, for Rey Mysterio and for El Grande Americano.
AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Noisy Boy
Noisy Boy had a strong showing against Jack Cartwheel last week, earning him a shot at Rey Fenix’s AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. This marked Fenix’s seventh title defense since winning the belt from Laredo Kid. Fenix is also set to face El Fiscal on Raw next week in the tournament to determine who will face Roman Reigns at Raw in Mexico.
The match started fast, with neither man able to take control until Fenix connected with a dropkick. Noisy went to the outside, where Fenix missed a baseball slide before catching him with a superkick as he came back into the ring. Noisy hit a quick headscissors takedown, but Fenix answered with an enzuigiri. Fenix followed with a crossbody and frog splash for a two-count. Noisy fought back with a springboard cutter for another near fall. Fenix then connected with a brutal Fenix Driver, but Noisy kicked out again.
Noisy countered a Mexican Muscle Buster into a springboard poisonrana and followed with a moonsault. He tried another moonsault from the top rope, but Fenix avoided it and hit a meteora in the corner. Fenix then connected with the Mexican Muscle Buster and scored the three-count to retain the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
Winner: Rey Fenix
After the match, Rey Fenix hugged Wile E. Coyote at ringside before joining his brother Penta at the top of the entrance ramp. Fenix headed backstage while Penta made his way to the ring.
Penta grabbed a mic and said he was there to talk about Roman Reigns. He said Roman has never faced anyone like him because Penta has fought for everything he has and never needed a group to help him succeed. Penta promised to win the tournament and take the championship from Roman.
Karmen Petrovic then appeared on the entrance ramp, followed by the rest of Perros Del Mal. Daga entered the ring and came face-to-face with Penta before the two embraced.
Daga reminded Penta that he joined Perros Del Mal in 2014 and helped the group conquer Mexico. He said he was surprised to hear Penta say he never needed a family and argued that Penta will need Perros Del Mal if he wants to get past Roman Reigns.
Daga said this was not about pride or ego, but about Mexico. He said Roman respects power, and power comes in numbers. Perros Del Mal then presented Penta with a shirt and invited him to rejoin the group.
Penta looked at the shirt before saying he needed to think about it. Daga told him he had until the end of the night to make his decision. Penta then left the ring with the shirt.
World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament: Psycho Clown vs. La Parka
Psycho Clown and La Parka started the match evenly, with neither man able to take control early. La Parka stopped to dance before Psycho caught him with a kick, though Psycho appeared to hurt his ribs after a scoop slam.
La Parka took advantage with a backbreaker and a suplex into the corner. He then hit a moonsault to the outside. Back in the ring, Psycho countered a powerbomb into a Code Red for a two-count.Psycho later sent La Parka to the floor and dove through the ropes into the timekeeper’s area. La Parka came back with a Spanish Fly from the top rope, but Psycho kicked out.
La Parka hit another moonsault, but Psycho blocked a second attempt and connected with a Mexican Destroyer. The two started trading shots before La Parka exposed the turnbuckle. The referee tried to fix it, and Psycho accidentally knocked him down. Psycho then hit the Psycho Driver, but the lights went out.
When the lights came back on, the same mystery man in overalls was in the ring. He attacked Psycho, sent him into the barricade and ring post, then rolled him back into the ring. La Parka hit the Bondebreaker, and the referee recovered to count the three.
Winner: La Parka
After the match, La Parka tried to help Psycho, but he stayed down. EMS came out and eventually helped Psycho to his feet.
Backstage, Daga and Perros Del Mal asked Penta for his answer. Penta said he needed to know everyone in the group could have his back and deserved to be part of Perros Del Mal. Bronco Nima then challenged Penta to a match next week to prove himself. Penta accepted.
