WWE President Nick Khan has a great mind for his business, but he is also proud of being a good father to his children. In fact, Khan revealed that his kids trash-talk him the most.

While speaking to Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story? podcast, Nick Khan said that no one trash-talks more about him than his own kids, even though they have a close and respectful relationship.

Khan talked about an old Wheel of Fortune clip they saw, where the first thing his kids asked was what he had in his hair; it was pomade. Then they laughed at the tie he was wearing. He explained that back when he was 25, he bought cheap ties from little stores in New York that sold three ties for $7.99. That was one of those ties, and his kids had a good time teasing him about it.

“Yeah, let me tell you. And by the way, you guys know this—you have children. Nobody talks s*** to me like my kids do, and I love them. I think we have a very close relationship, and I think they’re very respectful kids.

But when they saw that Wheel of Fortune clip, it was like, ‘What did you have in your hair?’—which, for the record, was pomade at the time, in case anyone knows what that is. And then they’re like, ‘What kind of tie were you wearing?’

And it’s not like I’m some fashion expert, but you know this from your time in New York—those tie racks at those little tchotchke stores? Three ties for $7.99. And when you’re 25, I’m thinking, ‘I gotta get three ties for $8!’ That was one of those ties. So yeah, they made fun of me for that.”

Khan also mentioned another clip from a documentary, where his kids pointed out that his hair used to be black instead of white, and that he used to be much skinnier. He joked that instead of saying something nice or complimenting how far he’s come, they just kept making fun of him.

“Then some other clip popped up in a documentary, and they were like, ‘Man, this was from a long time ago. Your hair wasn’t white—it wasn’t even gray—it was black. And you were so skinny.’

Where’s the compliment here? Anyone want to say, like, ‘Hey, you’ve come a decently long way’? Nope. Nobody says that.”

While Nick Khan continues to lead WWE’s global growth, it’s his kids who help keep him grounded with their trash-talking. Regardless, it just shows Nick Khan is a normal person at the end of the day and fans respect that about him.
