WWE Worlds Collide took place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, where fans saw the NXT North American Title spotlighted in a high-stakes Fatal 4-Way.

With lucha libre and WWE styles clashing in the same squared circle, the card was full of inventive booking, matches we never thought possible before. WWE and AAA used this platform to showcase crossover potential, which could be a sign of more things to come.

WWE’s Worlds Collide event featured a major title defense as Ethan Page put the NXT North American Championship on the line against Je’Von Evans, Laredo Kid, and Rey Fénix.

This match went on second to last. During the entrances, Konnan said that there’s no way this match wouldn’t be fire, and it’s hard to argue with that. As expected, everyone brought their A-Game to this match. This contest also had a big fight feel, thanks to the Spanish ring introductions from Lilian Garcia.

Ethan Page was the champion, and the largest competitor in the match. While he used his size to his advantage, he also showed off some lucha libre wrestling while trying to outdo his opponents.

Fans chanted “this is awesome” after Fenix nailed a flipping DDT on Laredo Kid. The match carried on, and Je’Von Evans also had a chance to show off with a few bouncy moves.

There were also a ton of “We Want Truth” chants from the wild crowd. Naturally, some fans online wondered why fans decided to invade this match with that chant. This was quite a match, and there was a lot of action in the crowd and in the ring. In the end, Ethan Page was able to get the pinfall and retain the NXT North American Title.

We will have to see what happens next, but this NXT North American Title defense was an exciting addition to Worlds Collide. Only time will tell if more of these events are on the horizon.
