Rey Mysterio will be part of the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event in Los Angeles today, marking his first on-screen appearance since undergoing surgery earlier this year. While he’s not expected to compete, his involvement adds major intrigue to the crossover show at the Kia Forum.

According to a report from PWInsider.com, Mysterio will appear “in some fashion” during the event. The WWE Hall of Famer has been out of action since April 2025 after suffering a torn groin that pulled him from his scheduled WrestleMania 41 match. He has been rehabbing ever since.

Mysterio’s faction, the LWO, is scheduled for a major trios match today. Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado—who replaced the injured Joaquin Wilde—will face AAA’s Octagón Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana. Whether Mysterio’s presence is ceremonial or factors into the outcome remains to be seen.

The show also features El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Chad Gable for the AAA Mega Championship and Ethan Page defending the NXT North American Title in a four-way. But with Mysterio now confirmed to appear, all eyes will be on how the LWO legend makes his presence felt.
