A major name is headed back to WWE television—and it’s happening at tomorrow’s WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event.

According to a new report from PWInsider Elite, former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) is slated to appear at the crossover show taking place June 7 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

While the card already features five confirmed matches, it seems the surprises are far from over. WWE and AAA are keeping some appearances under wraps, and JBL’s involvement appears to be one of the bigger unannounced elements on the show.

JBL has ties to AAA in recent years, having shown up multiple times to support longtime ally Alberto El Patron. Patron recently dropped the AAA Mega Championship to El Hijo Del Vikingo at the promotion’s May 31 event, which makes JBL’s purpose at Worlds Collide uncertain—but potentially impactful.

The report follows earlier speculation that Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan were also being considered for Worlds Collide appearances, but now the focus shifts to what role JBL could play in this massive WWE and AAA joint production.

As previously reported, AAA’s creative direction is officially shifting, as that the team moving forward will consist of Jeremy Borash, Konnan, and Moody Jack Melendez. Both Konnan and Melendez are confirmed to be at the event tomorrow, and Melendez also paid a visit to the WWE Performance Center earlier this week.

Joining them backstage will be another familiar face: Savio Vega. The former WWE star is expected to serve as a producer for the event.

WWE x AAA Worlds Collide marks the first crossover show between the two companies since WWE acquired AAA during WrestleMania 41 weekend. With talent from both sides and some big-name surprises in the mix, this historic show could reshape what the future of international wrestling partnerships looks like.

What do you think JBL’s role will be at Worlds Collide—and could this lead to something bigger? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know where you think this is heading.
