WWE may have accidentally revealed a major title change before it happens. In new promotional material for the upcoming WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event, the AAA Mega Championship is being advertised as on the line when El Hijo del Vikingo takes on Chad Gable. However, neither man currently holds the title.

As of now, the reigning AAA Mega Champion is Alberto El Patron, who is set to defend the title against Vikingo on May 31—just one week before Worlds Collide on June 7. With Del Patron not advertised for the crossover event and the match being promoted as a title bout, it strongly suggests that AAA plans to put the championship back on Vikingo.

Vikingo’s presence in the marketing materials also reflects AAA and WWE’s intent to make him a central figure in their growing partnership. Although the outcome of the May 31 match hasn’t officially been decided, the way WWE is promoting Worlds Collide makes it seem like they’re already looking past Alberto El Patron’s reign.

Unless something changes in the days ahead, WWE may have just tipped off fans that a title change is coming—and Vikingo will be stepping into Worlds Collide as the AAA Mega Champion.
