WWE NXT Results (5/13/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with a video recapping the events of last week’s 25-Man WWE NXT Championship #1 Contenders’ Battle Royal. Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Corey Graves then welcome us to the show as No Quarter Catch Crew make their way down to the ring.

Myles Borne then grabs a mic. Borne says last week he shocked the world when he became the last man standing against some of the toughest men out there. Borne then says he’s partially deaf, but last week when he eliminated Ethan Page and Shawn Spears, he still heard the fans going crazy. Borne then says he wants to be known by his abilities rather than his disability and he will become the new NXT Champion.

Ethan Page’s music then hits and he makes his way out. Page says Borne won the 25 Man WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal on a fluke last week and Borne can’t beat Oba Femi for the NXT Championship. Page then challenges Borne to put his #1 Contendership on the line against him tonight and Charlie Dempsey encourages Page to accept the match. Borne then accepts the challenge, but Ava makes her way to the ring to make the match official. Ava then says the match will be scheduled for later and Dempsey’s match against Oba will happen now.

Oba Femi’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night.

Ava then pushes the contract over and Williams signs it. Hendry then says no one is more confident than Trick Williams. Hendry then says Williams main evented Stand & Deliver two years in a row, so Battleground isn’t the biggest match of his career, but it might be the most important due to Williams being at a crossroads. Hendry then says Williams can’t get back to the NXT Title and after Battleground he can’t get to the TNA Title. Hendry then says as fast as Williams’ star can rise, it will fall down just as fast. Hendry then signs the contract.

We then see Hank and Tank meet up with Josh Briggs to console him about losing Inamura as a tag partner. Josh then talks about how Inamura had Josh’s back when he was on excursion in Japan.
