Tonight’s WWE RAW airing May 12, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The post-WWE Backlash show sees Damage CTRL’s WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY and “The Eradicator” Rhea Ripley take on “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez and “The Beautiful Madness” Giulia in a Tag Team Match. Plus, “The Best In The World” CM Punk will appear.

WWE RAW Results (5/12/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with a memorial graphic paying tribute to the late great Sabu.

Michael Cole then welcomes us to the show, while we get a drone shot of the host venue’s exterior. Cole then narrates the arrival shots of The Judgment Day, AJ Styles, WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY, Roxanne Perez and Giulia. Cole says the women’s tag team match will be the main event of RAW.

We then get a video package recapping last week’s segment involving WWE World Heavyweight Champion “Main Event” Jey Uso and Paul Heyman and the Jey Uso vs. Seth Rollins Match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk’s music then hits and Punk then makes his way down to the ring. Punk enters the ring and points to the sky in tribute of Sabu. There are loud chants for Punk and he says he can’t shake being pissed off. Punk then says he has a lot of enemies and it would have been easier to list who he’s not pissed off at. Punk then says number one with a bullet will be he himself. Punk then says it’s not the first time that Paul Heyman has stabbed him in the back. Punk then says it’s on him because he likes to trust his friends. Punk then recalls Heyman slamming a ladder on his head and giving him 13 staples years ago. Punk then says he thought they moved past that. Punk then says Jey warned him about Heyman. Punk then says Heyman is who he has always been. Punk then says Heyman is a fat little snake. Punk then says he couldn’t wait to get his hands around Heyman’s neck and squeeze it until his eyeballs pop.

Paul Heyman then introduces himself. Punk asks where he was. Heyman then storms onto the stage. Punk tells Heyman to choose his words wisely because they will be his last. Seth Rollins’ music then hits and Rollins and Bron Breakker make their way out and stands next to Heyman on the stage. Heyman hands Rollins the mic, while another Punk chant breaks out. Rollins says just when he thought Punk couldn’t get more selfish or egotistical, he found a way. Rollins then says Heyman was Punk’s best friend and Punk made Heyman’s life hell heading into WrestleMania. Rollins then accuses Punk of gaslighting everyone, while claiming that Heyman betrayed him. Rollins then calls Punk trash and says he’s the reason that Rollins isn’t the World Heavyweight Champion. Punk then says as long as he’s on two feet, Rollins won’t be World Heavyweight Champion.

Rollins then says Punk loves to play the victim and desperately wants to die a martyr. Rollins then says I believe that can be arranged. Rollins then says I hope you have prepared your last words. Rollins then pats Breakker on the shoulder and Breakker heads to the ring. Breakker then gets the better of Punk and works him over with punches, while Rollins enters the ring. Punk then hits Breakker with a kick and delivers some punches on Rollins. Breakker then recovers and puts the boots on Punk. Sami Zayn then makes his way out and helps Punk, but the heels remains in offensive control. Heyman then hands a chair to Rollins. As Rollins winds up to hit Punk with the chair, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso enters the ring and stops him from using it. Jey, Punk and Zayn then stands tall in the ring, while the heels retreated.

Penta then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night, while being introduced by ring announcer Alicia Taylor.

Michael Cole is then shown seating at ringside and says Pat McAfee is expected to appear at some point. McAfee’s music then hits and he makes his way down to ringside. McAfee stands on the ring steps and plays to the fans, then walks over and hugs Cole. McAfee then climbs on top of the broadcast table and plays to the fans again before settling in on commentary.

Chad Gable then makes his way down to the ring next with Ivy Nile.

Singles Match: Penta vs. American Made’s Chad Gable

The match starts off with Penta going straight after Gable. Penta then delivers some strikes and elbows on Gable, but Gable looks to remove Penta’s mask. Penta then prevents Gable from doing so and hits an arm drag on Gable off the ropes, but Gable responds with a crossbody off the middle rope.

Gable once again looks to remove Penta’s mask, but Penta prevents Gable from doing so once again. Gable then wears down Penta’s arm with a submission hold, then follows it up with a Northern Lights suplex and looks to fly off the middle rope with a diving headbutt. Penta then intercepts Gable with a Codebreaker.

Gable then hits a moonsault on Penta off the middle rope and transitions into an Ankle Lock, but Penta quickly escapes and nails Gable with a superkick. Penta and Gable then teeter on the ropes, but Penta hits the Mexican Destroyer on Gable off the middle rope for the win.

After the match, Penta sold his left arm and Gable had some blood on his face, while he was making some mean faces at ringside.

We then get a Roxanne Perez and Giulia promo video. Perez does majority of the talking and subtitles are used when Giulia is speaking.

We then head to the Judgment Day clubhouse, where Dominik Mysterio questions why Finn Bálor hesitated with the chair at WWE Backlash. Bálor says if it weren’t for El Grande Americano, Dominik might not have won. Bálor then tells Dominik not to be paranoid and everything worked out. Bálor then says he’s gonna take care of AJ Styles for Dominik tonight.

We then head to the commentary desk, where Michael Cole gives Pat McAfee a hard time for showing up late. Cole then introduces a video package looking back at the grueling matchup McAfee had against GUNTHER at WWE Backlash. The fans then give McAfee a standing ovation. McAfee then waves to the fans in response to the ovation they gave him. A McAfee chant then breaks out. Cole then encourages McAfee to stand up. McAfee then hops on the table and plays to the fans. McAfee then sits down and speaks about how everything is sore. McAfee says GUNTHER’s chop popped a blood vessel in his eye. McAfee then says he respects GUNTHER even more and he thinks maybe GUNTHER now has a little for him and Cole.

WWE World Tag Team Champions The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) then make their way down to the ring and join the commentary desk for the next match of the night.

Michael Cole then announces Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker vs. CM Punk and Sami Zayn for Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24.

We then head to the back, where Sami Zayn asks CM Punk if he is good heading into their SNME tag match. Punk admits that he is having a hard time trusting anyone. Zayn then says he had a hard time trusting Punk not all that long ago. Zayn then says they will take the match if they work together. Zayn then holds up his hand and Punk gives him a fist bump.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night.

Tag Team Match: The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) vs. American Made (Julius Creed and Brutus Creed)

The match starts off with Erik and Julius Creed and both men lock up. Ivar then tags in and hits a bodyslam on Julius, then tags in Erik. Ivar then hits a bodyslam on Julius and Erik hits a bodyslam on Brutus. Erik then bodyslams Ivar on top of Julius before Julius hits a suplex on Erik on the outside.

Julius then sends Erik back in the ring, but Ivar tags in and hits a back body drop on him. Ivar then hits a low crossbody on him. Erik then tags in and hits a suplex on Brutus, then hits a second one on Julius and tags out to Ivar. Erik then sends Ivar crashing onto Gable in the corner, but Xavier Woods distracts Erik on the outside. Kofi Kingston then goes after Ivar on the ropes, opening the door for Julius to get Ivar in an Electric Chair position and Brutus to hit the Brutus Ball for the win.

We then see Seth Rollins speak with Bron Breakker inside a dressing room, while Paul Heyman watches. Rollins says their adversaries probably thought they were winning the battle. Rollins then says they have no idea what he is capable of. Rollins then says he had one more thing he wanted Breakker to do before he took off. Rollins then whispers to Breakker, who looks surprised by what Rollins told him. Heyman then smiles in the background. Rollins then says and have some fun before patting Breakker on the back. Breakker then has a sinister smile.

We then see RAW General Manager Adam Pearce tell Jey Uso that he will hear something later in the show, but he wanted him to hear it from him first. They then bump fists. Jey then walks through the back and Finn Bálor is shown talking with Roxanne Perez in the background.

We then get video footage from after last week’s RAW of Jey Uso shaking hands with fans after the show went off the air. A hoodie-wearing Logan Paul then punches Jey from behind the barricade. Cole says the footage had over 16 million views within 12 hours of going online. Cole then hypes Jey vs. Paul for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion “Main Event” Jey Uso’s music then hits and he emerges from a concourse area, then goes up the steps and pumps his arms with the fans before heading down to the ring.

Jey Uso then continues yeeting with the fans and grabs the microphone. Uso starts off by saying he is now in their city. Jey then says he has something to get off his chest. Jey then says Logan Paul is talking out the side of his neck saying he isn’t championship material, but the main event is now Paul facing him.

GUNTHER’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. GUNTHER says the unimaginable has happened with Jey as World Heavyweight Champion and Jey reminds him he made him tap out at WrestleMania 41 to win the title. GUNTHER then says he knows what it’s like to be a champion and all the pressure that comes with it, but because he understands, it doesn’t mean his opinion about Jey has changed. GUNTHER then says he can tell Jey isn’t comfortable and isn’t a natural champion, then says as Adam Pearce told him before he came to the ring, he gets the next shot at the World Heavyweight Champion. Jey then says he is in his place and reminds GUNTHER that RAW is his place, then holds up the World Heavyweight Championship.

We then get an IYO SKY video promo and Cole hypes the tag team main event.

We then head back to the commentary desk, where Michael Cole and Pat McAfee talks about the death of the late great Sabu while still shots of Sabu are shown. Cole then recalls Sabu having a feud with his friend Taz. McAfee then says Sabu put his life on the line, while performing for the fans and they are forever grateful for his service to the industry. Cole then offers condolences to Sabu’s family and friends.

We then head to the back, where Jackie Redmond is interviewing Ludwig Kaiser when a clanging sound interrupts her and Redmond ends the interview. Jey Uso is then shown laid out with Bron Breakker standing over him. Breakker then walks away with Paul Heyman. Sami Zayn, CM Punk and others then show up to check on Jey. Cole says this is obviously what Rollins asked Breakker to do.

Finn Bálor then makes his way down to the ring with JD McDonagh and Carlito for the next match of the night and AJ Styles follows.

Singles Match: “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. The Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor

The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Both men then take turns locking in submission holds on one another, but Bálor hits a shotgun dropkick on Styles and delivers some strikes on Styles in the corner. Styles then delivers some chops on Bálor, but Bálor responds with a series of stomps on Styles using the ropes for assistance.

Bálor then locks in an Abdominal Stretch on Styles as he jams his elbow into his oblique, but Styles sends Bálor crashing into the mat with a Death Valley Driver. McDonagh then hops up on the apron, opening the door for Bálor to roll up Styles. Styles then kicks out and hits a kick on Bálor’s head, then delivers some chops on his chest. Bálor then cinches in an Armbar on Styles, then tangles him up in the ropes and delivers some right hands on his midsection. Styles then sends Bálor crashing into the mat.

Bálor and Styles then teeter on the ropes, but Styles hits a superplex on Bálor. Bálor then looks to hit an enzuigiri on Styles, but Styles transitions into the Calf Crusher. Bálor then crawls over to the bottom rope to break the hold, but Styles nails Bálor with a clothesline. Bálor then responds with a Sling Blade and shotgun dropkicks Styles into the corner, then climbs to the top rope and sets up for the Coup De Grace. Styles then moves out of the way and cinches the Calf Crusher in once again, then rolls through and hits the Styles Clash on Bálor. Styles then goes for a pin, but Bálor kicks out.

Carlito then hops up on the apron to distract the referee as McDonagh goes after Styles. Styles then takes out McDonagh and hits a sliding knee on him off the apron, but Bálor takes advantage and hits a Sidewalk Slam on Styles. Bálor then goes for a pin, but Styles kicks out as Penta flies off the barricade with a crossbody to nail Carlito. Penta then goes after McDonagh and hits a Mexican Destroyer on Carlito off McDonagh’s back, opening the door for Styles to hits the Phenomenal Forearm on Bálor for the win.

Michael Cole then narrates highlights of Lyra Valkyria defeating Becky Lynch to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Backlash. Lynch is then shown walking backstage. In the background, Karrion Kross presents Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods with Kross t-shirts.

Becky Lynch then makes her way down to the ring and sits on the top turnbuckle. Lynch then grabs a microphone and says after her Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Lyra Valkyria at Backlash one of them ended up in the hospital, while the other celebrated with a shower and a shot of tequila. Lynch then says she has always been for the people and stepped away the last time she was criticized for going after the title because fans carried her to the main event of WrestleMania 35, but she won and the fans could no longer see themselves in her. Lynch then recalls a conversation between her and a friend in which she realized she liked herself more away from the ring because she didn’t have to listen to the fans, then continues to rag on the fans as she makes it clear that she feels as though she’s better off without them. Lynch then drops the mic.

We then get a video promo by Rusev. Rusev says he didn’t want to do what he did to Otis. Rusev then says he didn’t want any of this. Rusev then says he just wanted to go home and be rich. Rusev then says he was also once programmed by lesser people and he can’t leave his brothers until they all wake up. Rusev then asks if they think the fans care that they miss their family or that their choice is to hurt or be hurt. Rusev then recalls Akira Tozawa stepping up while the fans cheered. Rusev then says wrestlers let the sheep control wolves. Rusev then says he would rather fail than fall into the abyss.

We then head to the back, where Adam Pearce is talking with Akira Tozawa while Natalya and Maxxine Dupri stands by. Pearce says he can’t give Tozawa a match against Rusev because he isn’t medically cleared. Sheamus then shows up and says he knows Tozawa will give Rusev hell once he is cleared. Sheamus and Tozawa then bump fists and Tozawa and his crew leaves. Sheamus then asks for a match against Grayson Waller, which Pearce agrees to.

Michael Cole then says qualifying matches for Money in the Bank will start on Friday’s SmackDown and will continue on RAW. Cole then hypes the following for Monday’s RAW in Greenville, South Carolina: AJ Styles and Penta vs. Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh, Sheamus vs. Grayson Waller and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker in a non-title match.

Giulia then makes her way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Roxanne Perez, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY follows.

Tag Team Match: Damage CTRL’s WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY and “The Eradicator” Rhea Ripley vs. “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez and “The Beautiful Madness” Giulia

The match starts off with SKY and Perez and SKY cinches in a side headlock on Perez. Giulia then tags in and Perez takes a cheap kick on SKY from the apron, but Ripley pulls her into the ring and hits a dropkick on her. Giulia then hits a neck crank on SKY, but SKY responds with a shotgun dropkick on her and looks to tag in Ripley.

Perez then pulls Ripley off the apron and slaps her on the outside and SKY hits a tope suicida on Ripley. Giulia then hits a shotgun dropkick on SKY on the outside, then delivers some forearms on SKY back inside the ring. Perez then hits a Side Russian Leg Sweep on SKY, but Ripley tags in and runs over Perez with a couple of clotheslines. She then hits a German suplex on Perez, then follows it up with a Razor’s Edge and hits an enzuigiri. Perez then responds with a hurricanrana on Ripley off the middle rope and Giulia nails Ripley with a headbutt.

Giulia and SKY then tag in and SKY hits a shotgun dropkick on Perez. Giulia then rolls up SKY, but SKY kicks out and pins Giulia. Perez then breaks the fall, then sets up for a Russian Leg Sweep on SKY. Ripley then sends SKY crashing into Giulia, but Perez sets up for Pop Rox on Ripley. SKY then hits a shotgun dropkick on Perez to come to Ripley’s aid, but Giulia trips Ripley and hits a double underhook superplex on SKY off the top rope. SKY then hits then Over The Moonsault on Perez and Ripley hits the Rip Tide on Giulia for the win.

After the match, Ripley eyes the Women’s World Championship as SKY holds it up and the show comes to a close.
