Tonight’s WWE NXT airing May 6, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Capitol Wrestling Center (WWE Performance Center) in Orlando, Florida. The show sees TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) take on three members of DarkState (Saquon Shugars, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox) in a 6-Man Tag Team Match. Plus, there will be a WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s 25-Man Battle Royal.
The show kicks off at 8:00 PM ET on the CW and is available for international fans on streaming platforms like Netflix. The show opens up with Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Corey Graves welcoming us. We then see the arrivals of Jordynne Grace, Giulia, Je’Von Evans, NQCC, The Culling, Wes Lee and his crew and Zachary Wentz to the Performance Center.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Joe Hendry and DarkState follow.
The match starts off with DarkState blindsiding Walker, Ledger and Hendry. Dion Lennox then nails Ledger. Osiris Griffin then tags in and sends Ledger’s head bouncing off the top turnbuckle. Cutler James and Hendry then tag in and Hendry hits a delayed vertical suplex on James. Hendry then goes for a pin, but James kicks out.
Walker then tags in and hits a double ax handle off the middle rope on James. James then responds with a back elbow and jams his knee into the side of Walker’s face. Lennox then tags in and nails Walker with a back elbow of his own, then hits Walker with a boot on his face. Ledger then tags in and double teams on Lennox with Walker. Walker and Ledger then hit a double splash on Lennox and Hendry follows it up with a Fallaway Slam on Lennox. Hendry then hits a second one on James and hits his signature pose with Walker and Ledger.
Hendry then hits a double ax handle on Lennox, then tags in Ledger. Griffin and Ledger then tag in and Griffin wears down Ledger, but Walker and James tag in. Walker then delivers some right hands on James and nails him with a couple of back elbows, then sends him crashing into opposite corners face first. James then nails Walker with a clothesline and jams his forearm into Walker’s face, then tags in Griffin.
Griffin then hits a powerslam on Walker, but Ledger and Lennox tag in. Ledger then nails Lennox with a couple of back elbows before all six men begin brawling with one another. Hendry then hits a Fallaway Slam on James, but Trick Williams pulls Hendry out of the ring and brawls with him to the back. Lennox then hits a chop block on Ledger in the ring, opening the door for James and Griffin to toss Ledger over to Lennox to hit a powerbomb on him for the win.

We then head to the back, where Thea Hail and Karmen Petrovic are speaking about Karmen getting rid of the distraction in Ashante “Thee” Adonis. Jaida Parker then shows up and calls Hail a yapping chihuahua. Jaida then says Ashante wasn’t the only thing holding Karmen back. Parker then says Karmen is soft. Karmen then says Parker choked at her title opportunity.
Various EVOLVE and LFG wrestlers are then shown warming up backstage, including veteran NXT wrestler Timothy Thatcher.
Kelani Jordan then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
We then see the NQCC hyping each other up backstage. Charlie Dempsey then stands up and says it’s not about individual glory, it’s about getting NQCC closer to the NXT Championship. Heights is hyped up about this. Wren then asks Myles if he is up for it and Myles agrees.
ZARIA then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
The match starts off with Jordan hitting a dropkick on ZARIA. ZARIA then nails Jordan with a forearm, but Jordan responds with several forearms of her own on ZARIA. ZARIA then sends Jordan onto the apron, then climbs to the top rope and looks to hit a hurricanrana on ZARIA. ZARIA then catches Jordan and sets up for a powerbomb, but Jordan escapes and rolls up ZARIA and ZARIA kicks out.
ZARIA then delivers some shoulders on Jordan’s midsection in the corner, but Jordan hits a series of chops on ZARIA’s chest and spine. Jordan then delivers some shoulders on ZARIA’s midsection in the corner, but ZARIA hits an Oblique Breaker on Jordan. Jordan then hits a leg drop out of the corner on ZARIA as she is draped through the middle rope, then hits a hurricanrana on ZARIA on the outside off of the ring steps.
Jordan then sends ZARIA inside the ring, then hits a crossbody on her and delivers some knees on her spine. ZARIA. then cinches in a modified crossface on Jordan as she jams her knee into her spine, then hits a kick on her midsection and delivers a shoulder on her midsection in the corner. ZARIA then hits a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster on Jordan, then gets her over one of her shoulders and wears her down with a submission hold.
ZARIA then sends Jordan into the corner, but Jordan pulls ZARIA off the top rope and nails her with a couple of back elbows. She then follows it up with a handspring back elbow and a Tornado DDT, then goes for a pin but ZARIA kicks out. ZARIA then hits a spear on Jordan, but Jordan hits a springboard moonsault on ZARIA on the outside. ZARIA then spears Jordan through the barricade, then sends her back in the ring and follows it up with an F5 for the win.

After the match, Sol and ZARIA hugs.
We then head to the back, where Tony D’Angelo is speaking on his phone. Wes Lee, Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe then mocks Tony D for having his family turn on him. Tony D then points out Wes betraying his family. Wes then says he will do it again. Wes then says it smells like Tony D is less confident without The Family. Tony D then says Wes has all talent, no instincts. Tony D then challenges Wes to a fight, but Wes refuses saying he has a battle royal to compete in.
Trick Williams’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
We then head to the back, where Lola Vice and Stephanie Vaquer are talking in Spanish and English. Vice is giving Vaquer props for being champion. Lola then stands up and says she is waiting for her opportunity at the title. Giulia then shows up and tells Vaquer see you at Battleground.
Various NXT, LFG and EVOLVE wrestlers are already in the ring for the next match. “All Ego” Ethan Page then makes his way down to the ring. The lights then go out and former WWE wrestler Elias makes his way down to the ring. Elijah then gets a welcome home chant.
The match starts off with Ethan Page sliding out of the ring and staring down Elijah with everyone else brawling. Shiloh Hill then eliminates Chris Island and Lexis King. Ashante “Thee” Adonis then ends up on the outside as Brooks Jensen and Niko Vance work to eliminate Ridge Holland. Myles borne then beats down Wes Lee and helps Charlie Dempsey, but Elijah clotheslines Dempsey over the top rope to send him to the back. Swipe Right then works together, but Yoshiki Inamura eliminates Brad Baylor. Trick William then hits a neckbreaker on Inamura, but Adonis looks to eliminate Williams. Williams then hangs on to the top rope and hits a kick on Shiloh Hill, then looks to eliminate him. Hill then hangs on, but Williams sends Adonis crashing over the top rope and onto the floor.
Timothy Thatcher and Inamura then brawl and Thatcher gets Ricky Smokes on his shoulders. Smokes then escapes as Elijah delivers some stomps on Tavion Heights in the corner. Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz then stare each other down and deliver some forearms on one another. Wentz then hits a double stomp on Smokes’ spine and sends him over the top to eliminate him. Tyriek Igwe and Tyson DuPont then blindside Wentz from behind to come to Lee’s aid. Josh Briggs then jams his boot into Igwe in the corner and Holland continues wearing down Borne. Shawn Spears then nails Wentz with a headbutt and DuPont hits a right hand on Inamura’s spine. Thatcher then looks to eliminate Spears, but Spears hangs on. Spears then nails Briggs with a back elbow and hits a boot on DuPont, then sends him over the top rope to eliminate him.
Thinking Briggs was aiming for him with the boot, Inamura gets in Briggs’ face. Briggs then delivers some stomps on Igwe in the corner, but Page nails Thatcher with a boot and a superkick. Page then sends Thatcher crashing over the top rope to eliminate him. Hill then delivers some right hands on Vance and Je’Von Evans jams his boot into Page. Hill then clotheslines Vance over the top rope to eliminate him as Vance sacrifices himself to protect Spears. Williams then sends Shiloh Hill crashing over the top rope, but Hill lands on the apron. Williams then hits a boot on Hill to send him to the back. Heights then sends Evans over the top rope and onto the apron, but Evans hangs on and gets back in the ring. Williams then delivers some stomps on Inamura as Elijah delivers some right hands on Borne. Inamura and Briggs then look to eliminate Williams, but Williams hangs on and lands on the apron. Heights then sends Lee crashing into the mat face first and Jensen sends himself and Igwe crashing over the top out of the ring to eliminate them.
Williams then delivers some right hands on Wentz as Briggs and Inamura hit a double chokeslam on Holland. Holland and Briggs then land on the apron over the top rope and Inamura looks to eliminate Holland but ends up eliminating Briggs. Holland then nails Inamura from behind. Elijah then nails Evans with a jumping knee as Evans looks to fly off the middle rope. Lee then looks to eliminate Evans, but Evans hangs on. Wentz and Lee are then sent over the top by Page and Spears, but the three men return to the ring. Page then eliminates Wentz. Williams then looks to sends Page over the top rope and out of the ring and Sean Legacy brawls with Borne. Spears then looks to eliminate Holland, but Holland lands on the apron. Lee then delivers a right hand on Inamura as Evans brawls with Page. Lee then hits a kick on Evans, then nails some kicks on Inamura and Borne. Borne then sends Lee over the top and onto the apron. Williams then eliminates Lee by hitting a Trick Shot on him to send him crashing onto the floor.
Williams then beats Borne down in the corner as Legacy delivers some right hands on Inamura. Evans then nails Page with a Stunner and Inamura exchanges chops and forearms with Holland. Inamura and Holland then look to nails one another with clotheslines, but Williams clotheslines Inamura and Holland over the top rope to eliminate them both. Joe Hendry’s music then hits and Hendry makes his way out. This then opens the door for Elijah to eliminate Williams, who then brawls up the entrance ramp with Hendry. Spears then takes advantage of a distracted Elijah and eliminates him. Evans then brawls with Legacy, but Legacy low bridges Evans over the top rope. Evans then hangs on, but Legacy then looks to eliminate Page. Page then hangs on and Evans nails Legacy with a kick. Page then low bridges Legacy out of the ring to eliminate him.
We are down to four: Evans, Spears, Page and Borne. Borne then brawls with Page as Evans goes at it with Spears. Spears the gets Evans up on his shoulders, but Evans escapes. Borne then nails Evans and Spears with a powerslam. Borne then dropkicks Evans over the top rope, but Evans hangs on and lands on the apron. Spears then charges at Evans, but Evans low bridges him onto the apron. Borne then dropkicks Evans, but Evans hangs on. Evans then flies to nail Spears and Page on the outside and Evans hits the OG Cutter on Borne. Spears and Page then send Evans crashing over the top and on the floor to eliminate him. Page then looks to eliminate Spears, but Spears hangs on. Borne then manages to eliminate Page, who takes out Spears in the process.

After the match, No Quarter Catch Crew joins Borne in the ring but Dempsey noticeably remains on the outside.
Jaida Parker then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
We then head to the back, where Sarah Schreiber is interviewing Jordynne Grace and Grace talks about how she has a long overdue singles match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Izzi Dame then shows up and shows off being taller than grace. Lash Legend then shows up to overshadow Grace too. Grace then says she sees how this is and she’ll see both women down the road.
Karmen Petrovic then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
The match starts off with both women locking up. Parker then nails Petrovic with a bodyslam, but Petrovic nails Parker and hits her with a kick. Parker then hits a back elbow on Petrovic, then delivers somme shoulders on her midsection in the corner and drapes her across the middle turnbuckle. Parker then sends Petrovic crashing into the mat and hits her with a swinging neckbreaker, then wears her down with a submission. Petrovic then hits a series of strikes on Parker and climbs to the middle rope, then hits a Sling Blade on her and goes for a pin. Parker then kicks out and hits a Hip Attack on Petrovic for the win.

After the match, Parker continues beating Petrovic down and looks to hit a Hip Attack on her. Thea Hail then appears out of nowhere and Parker ends up hitting the Hip Attack on her instead.
We then head over to NXT General Manager Ava’s office, where she tells TNA World Champion Joe Hendry that this feud with Trick Williams across two shows needs to stop. Ava then says he spoke with Santino Marella and they agreed for Joe Hendry vs. Trick Williams for the TNA Championship at NXT Battleground.
We then get a vignette for Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, where they talk about being in the mud and how they are coming after the NXT Tag Team division.
We then head to the back, where we see Wes Lee, Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe walking and Lee was on the phone. Lee then teases hiring someone to help him.
We then see Yoshiki Inamura Yoshiki Inamura apologize to Josh Briggs backstage. Inamura says he is going back to Japan today. Inamura then hands back his biker vest and bids Briggs farewell before leaving. Brooks Jensen then shows up and says he knows that feeling exactly. Jensen then says that Briggs may think his tag partners are the problem, but the problem may be him.
We then see the No Quarter Catch Crew in another area backstage, where they are excited for Borne winning the match. Charlie Dempsey then acts like he is challenging Oba Femi for the title. Oba Femi then shows up and congratulates Myles Borne for winning the battle royal. Dempsey then claims he was in the match. Borne then says he’s still in the match, but he would like to see what Charlie can do against Oba next week. Borne then brings up Dempsey claiming he can whoop Oba’s ass. Borne then says if Dempsey can beat Oba, then it will be a triple threat match at Battleground. Oba then cuts in and says he is done with triple threats.
Giulia then makes her way down to the ring for the main event of the night.
We then head to the back with Chase U, where Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors say they don’t like the Chase U Polo shirt. They then hand Andre Chase new clothes to try on. Chase then puts on the long sleeve track shirt. Dixon and Connors then likes how it looked. Chase then walks out in another track suit and Chase likes the new look.
Jordynne Grace then makes her way down to the ring for the main event of the night.
The match starts off with both women wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Grace then delivers some forearms on Giulia in the corner. She then sends her crashing into the mat shoulder first and delivers some clotheslines on her spine, but Giulia responds with an STO on Grace and sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle face first. Giulia then dropkicks Grace, but Grace trips Giulia on the apron. Giulia then sends Grace crashing into the apron face first and sends Grace back in the ring.
Giulia then hits a stomp on Grace’s midsection, then hits a hair whip to her and delivers a few headbutts on her. She then hits a dropkick on Grace, then follows it up with a neck crank and sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle face first. She then drapes Grace off the top rope by her knees, then hits a dropkick on her midsection.
Grace then hits a spinebuster on Giulia, but Giulia locks in a Guillotine on Grace as she continues wearing down her neck. Grace then powers up to her feet, then takes Giulia down with a belly-to-belly suplex. She then follows it up with a couple of bodyslams and a Michinoku Driver on Giulia, then hits a superplex on her and immediately transitions into a Jackhammer.
Giulia spikes then Grace with a DDT, then sends her crashing into the mat with a Falcon Arrow and goes for a pin. Grace then kicks out and sends Giulia crashing into the mat with a variation of a German suplex. She then follows it up with the Grace Driver for the win.

After the match, Stephanie Vaquer’s music hits and she makes her way down to the ring. She then stares Grace down as she holds up her NXT Women’s Championship and the show comes to a close.
