Lex Luger was officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Friday night, but fans were quick to notice his absence during the WrestleMania 41 Saturday festivities inside the stadium.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, Luger explained why he wasn’t able to appear alongside the other inductees at WrestleMania. “It’s wild how that stuff catches fire. With all that happened, the next day on Saturday, I could hardly get out of bed,” Luger said. “I called the guys and they were cool about it. They said, ‘Look, we’d love to have you down there. Let’s see how you feel later in the day,’ but it was obvious by later in the afternoon that I wasn’t going to be able to get out there.”

Diamond Dallas Page, who delivered the induction speech for Luger, also clarified that Lex had every intention of showing up. He mentioned that it had been a long night and that the time zone change from the east coast to Las Vegas didn’t help.

Despite missing the big stadium moment, Luger’s Hall of Fame honor still stands as a long overdue recognition of his legendary career.
