Tonight’s AEW Dynasty airing April 6, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Liacouras Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show sees The Death Riders’ AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defend his title against Swerve Strickland. Plus, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm defends her title against Megan Bayne.

AEW Dynasty Zero Hour Pre-Show opens up with a video package. Renee Paquette then welcomes us to the show and introduces Jeff Jarrett and RJ City. The panel then runs down the card for the pre-show and tonight’s PPV.
We then get a video package looking at the main event match between Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship. We then get a discussion from the panel on the match.
We then get a video package looking at the AEW Women’s World Championship Match and Madison Rayne joins the panel to help talk about the match between “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Megan Bayne.
We then get a video package looking at the 3-Way Match for the AEW International Championship between Kenny Omega, Ricochet and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. We then head to the back, where Ricochet is being interviewed live by Lexy Nair. Ricochet says since his debut in AEW he has been on a quest for gold, but has been screwed every step of the way. Ricochet then says tonight in the city of champions nothing will stop him from becoming International Champion.
Harley Cameron then joins the pre-show panel to help discuss and break down the Owen Hart Cup Foundation Tournament brackets. Cameron mentions Hangman Page having the most wins out of anyone in the men’s tournament with 90, how he defeated Jarrett as the wild card last year and how he will face another wild card again this year. Jarrett then says he looks at the men’s field and sees Ospreay and all the rest and Ospreay is his pick. RJ then says Kevin Knight is also a wild card in itself as he just debuted last week.
We then get a video package looking at Kevin Knight. Knight talks about training in the Hart Dungeon and says he sees a lot of Owen Hart’s qualities in himself. Knight then says he feels all the pressure in the world, but he won’t hesitate to knock Ospreay’s block off.
We then return to the panel and they are joined by Tomohiro Ishii, who just stands there and doesn’t say a word. Mark Briscoe then shows up and talks about his Owen Hart Cup Quarterfinal Round Match against Kyle Fletcher. Briscoe calls Fletcher a stepping stone ad says today’s word of the day is advancement because he is advancing in the tournament. After Briscoe and Ishii leaves, RJ City and Jeff Jarrett both pick Fletcher to win the match later tonight.
We then get video footage of Swerve Strickland ringing the bell at the Philadelphia 76ers game last night and taking photos with Alex Rodriguez. We then see Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana entering the building earlier in the day.
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard then welcome us to the show from the commentary desk.
Nick Wayne and The CRU then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the pre-show and Top Flight and AR Fox follow.
The match starts off with Ar Fox and Action Andretti and Andretti slides out of the ring. Fox then flies through the middle rope with a tope suicida to land on him as Darius Martin and Dante Martin beat down Wayne and Lio Rush. Darius and Rush then tag in and Darius hits an enzuigiri on Rush. Wayne then sends Darius crashing into the ring steps shoulder first on the outside, then sends him back inside the ring.
Rush then delivers right hands on Darius, then tags in Andretti. Andretti then delivers some right hands on Darius, then tags in Wayne. Wayne then hits a leg drop on Darius, but Andretti tags back in and continues wearing down Darius. Andretti then hits a suplex on Darius, then wears him down with a submission hold and tags Rush back in. Rush then follows suit, then tags out to Wayne.
Wayne then hits a kick on Darius’ spine, but Rush tags back in and Darius nails him with a dropkick. Dante then tags in and climbs to the top, but Kip Sabian hops up on the apron. Sabian then distracts the referee as Andretti hands Rush a chain. Rush then wraps it around his fist, but Dante manages to avoid being hit with it. Rush then rolls up Dante, but Dante kicks out and Andretti hits a double suplex on Dante with Rush.
Wayne and Fox tag in and Fox looks to hit a 450 Splash on Wayne off the top. Wayne then avoids it and Fox hits him with a Twisting Brainbuster. Fox then hits a double Stunner on Wayne and Rush, then flies over the top rope to land on Rush and Andretti. Fox then does the same to land on Wayne on the other side of the ring and flies once again to land on Rush and Andretti, then looks to hit a Swanton Bomb on Wayne. Wayne then gets his knees up, but Darius nails Wayne with a Spanish Fly. Andretti then nails Darius with a rolling forearm and a kick, but Andretti flies off the ropes to land on him. Dante then dropkicks Andretti, but Rush hits a springboard Stunner on him. Fox then runs over Rush with a boot, but Wayne responds with Wayne’s World on him for the win.

Athena then joins the panel and is asked for her prediction for the Mercedes Moné vs. Julia Hart match tonight. Athena says she doesn’t have time for Moné’s crap as she is the longest reigning champion, man or woman, in AEW and ROH. RJ then mentions Athena’s last singles loss came in the Owen Hart Tournament, but she reminds him she is 63-0 in ROH. Athena then puts over Harley Cameron for being a hard worker, but says she can’t wait to defeat Moné in the second round. Athena then says she won’t discredit Julia Hart, her tag team partner last night on Collision, but she wants to face Moné and she hopes to see Jamie Hayter there with her. Athena is then asked about the men’s tournament and she predicts that Will Ospreay will win. Athena then says she think she is better, but Ospreay is good.
The panel then run down the card for tonight’s PPV once again before the next pre-show match and Jarrett says he is celebrating 39 years in the business today. We then get more discussion from the panel.
Max Caster then makes his way down to the ring for his open challenge. Caster then grabs a mic and says there has been a lot of names being brought up for this Challenge, but the Maxamaniacs know there is only one chant the fans want to say. The “Let’s Go Max, You’re the Best Wrestler Alive” chants then gets going, but Caster says they weren’t doing it right. Caster then tells the fans to show up for him just like they have for other great Philadelphia athletes, revealing a Ben Simmons jersey. Caster then says the Philly fans aren’t as great as the New York ones. The lights then go out and a new theme music and video hits that read 5 Tool Player. Anthony Bowens then makes his way down to the ring and he is joined by Billy Gunn.
The match starts off with Anthony Bowens grabbing Max Caster’s trademark from him. Bowens tosses it out of the ring, then nails Caster with a right hand and delivers a couple of kicks on him. Bowens then hits a Famouser on Caster and nails him with a right hand for the win.

After the match, Bowens looks into a camera and says he is The Pride of Professional Wrestling and AEW’s five-tool player. Bowens then says it’s time to make history and he goes back to playing to the crowd.
We then return to the panel, where RJ says he is disappointed that his boy Max Caster, who had the crowd in the palm of his hand, got beat so quickly. Jarrett then says Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight will open the PPV.
Commentary then runs through the card for the PPV and it is revealed that Jim Ross will be on the call for some of the matches. We then get a video package and the Zero Hour pre-show comes to a close.
AEW Dynasty opens up with pyro shooting off on the stage. Excalibur, Jim Ross and Taz then welcomes us to the show and Will Ospreay makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the PPV. Kevin Knight makes his way down to the ring next.
The match starts off with Ospreay and Knight locking up. Knight the hits a clothesline on Ospreay in the corner, then goes for a quick pinfall but Ospreay kicks out. Ospreay then sends Knight crashing out of the ring with a boot, then flies over the top to land on Knight on the outside and sends him back in. Knight then hits a chop on Ospreay in the corner, but Ospreay wears him down with an Abdominal Stretch and jams his knuckle into his oblique.
Knight then hits Ospreay with a couple of clotheslines and hits him with a standing splash, but Ospreay responds with a flipping kick on his head to land on him. Knight then hits a suplex on Ospreay, but Ospreay returns the favor with a German suplex on Knight. Ospreay then delivers some chops on Knight, but Knight hits some forearms on Ospreay and nails him with a dropkick. Ospreay then pulls Knight off the apron on the outside and looks to hit a Styles Clash on him on the bottom of the entrance ramp, but Knight counters it into a DDT.
Both men then return to the ring and Knight hits a second DDT on Ospreay. Ospreay then looks to fly off the ropes, but Knight catches him with a dropkick and climbs to the top rope. Knight then hits the UFO Splash on Ospreay and goes for a pin, but Ospreay kicks out. Knight then looks to hit a second splash off the top rope, but Ospreay counters into a cutter and Knight rolls up Ospreay. Ospreay then kicks out and hits a Styles Clash on Knight. Ospreay then goes for a pin, but Knight kicks out. Ospreay then hits the Os Cutter on Knight and pins him once again, but Knight kicks out. Ospreay then hits the Hidden Blade on Knight for the win.

After the match, the updated brackets show that Ospreay will face the winner of the Brody King vs. Konosuke Takeshita Match. Ospreay and Knight then shake hands and hug. Knight then leaves to give Ospreay his moment while the fans chant his name. Ospreay then looks at the All In: Texas sign and points at it before making his exit.
We then get a video package and the entrances of the next match of the PPV, which is an AEW World Tag Team Championship Match.
The match starts off with Bobby Lashley and Bryan Keith, but Keith tags out to Bill. Bill then stares down Lashley and both men lock up. Bill then clotheslines Lashley out of the ring, but Lashley regroups on the outside with MVP and Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin then tags in and continues wearing down Bill before Lashley tags back in and delivers some shoulders on Bill’s midsection. Benjamin and Keith then tag in and Keith delivers some right hands on Benjamin. Benjamin then nails Keith with a clothesline and follows it up with a back body drop.
Benjamin then sends Keith crashing into one of the barricades on the outside, then sends him back in the ring and tags in Lashley. Lashley then hits a delayed vertical suplex on Keith, then gets him up on one shoulder and looks to send Keith crashing into the mat. Keith then avoids it, but Benjamin and Bill tag back in. Bill then runs over Benjamin and Lashley, then hits alternating splashes on them in opposite corners. Benjamin then responds with a German suplex on Bill and pins him, but Bill kicks out.
Keith then tags in and Bill sends Lashley crashing into the top turnbuckle face first. MJF then appears in the crowd and nails Bill with a forearm, then leads the fans in cheering on The Hurt Syndicate. Benjamin then hits a German suplex on Keith and Lashley hits a spear on Keith. Benjamin then pins Keith for the win.

The match starts off with both women going back and forth. We then see Harley Cameron watching the action from backstage as Moné drapes Hart by her knees off the top rope and delivers some stomps on her. Hart then rolls up Moné, but Moné kicks out and Hart hits a splash on her in the corner. Hart then walks the top rope and hits an Old School on Moné, then sends her head repeatedly bouncing off the mat. Moné then responds with a meteora on Hart off the ring apron, then sends her back in the ring and goes for a pin. Hart then kicks out.
Moné then hits a Hart with a bodyslam, then wears her down with a submission hold and drapes her by her knees off the top rope once again. Moné then delivers some stomps on Hart, then charges at her. Hart then pulls herself up and out of the way, then hits a crossbody on Moné off the top rope on the outside and gets her back inside the ring. Hart then sends Moné cashing into the mat and goes for a pin, but Moné kicks out.
Hart then looks to hit a moonsault on Moné off the top rope, but Moné gets her boots up and hits a couple of Backstabbers on Hart. Moné then locks in the Statement Maker on Hart, but Hart reverses it into the Hartless. Moné then escapes with a roll up, but Hart kicks out. Moné then lock in a second Statement Maker on Hart, but Hart rolls up Moné. Moné then kicks out and pins Hart for the win.

After the match, Taz says Moné got kind of lucky and the match could have gone either way. Athena is then shown watching the match on a backstage monitor. The updated brackets then show that Moné will face the winner of the Athena vs. Harley Cameron Match in the semifinals.
We then get a video package and the entrances of the next match of the PPV, which is an AEW World Trios Championship Match.
The match starts off with PAC and Dax Harwood and both men lock up. PAC then rolls up Harwood, but Harwood kicks out and PAC sends him crashing into the mat. PAC then looks to cinch in the Brutalizer, but Harwood avoids it and tags in Cope. Wheeler Yuta then tags in on his side and goes at it with Cope, but Cash Wheeler tags in and quickly tags back out to Cope. Cope then hits a double Flapjack on Yuta, then hits one on PAC.
Harwood then tags in and delivers some right hands on Claudio Castagnoli with Cope and Wheeler. Wheeler then flies out of the ring to land on Castagnoli, then sends him back in the ring and climbs to the top rope. Yuta then pushes off Wheeler, but PAC tags in and delivers some stomps on Wheeler with Castagnoli. PAC then hits a kick on Wheeler’s head, then tags in Castagnoli. Yuta then hits a kick on Wheeler’s midsection, then hits a knee on his head and wears him down with a submission hold.
Wheeler then hits a bodyslam on Yuta, but Harwood tags in and delivers some right hands on Castagnoli and PAC. Harwood then hits an Atomic Drop on Yuta, then locks in a Sharpshooter on PAC. Castagnoli then locks in a Sharpshooter on Wheeler as Cope has a crossface locked in on Yuta. Yuta then tags back in and Castagnoli hits The Big Swing on Harwood. PAC then locks in a Brutalizer on Harwood and Yuta cinches in a Sleeper on Wheeler as Castagnoli wears down Cope with another submission on the outside. Wheeler then sends himself and Yuta crashing into PAC and Harwood to break the fall and FTR hits the Shatter Machine on Yuta. Cope then follows it up with a spear and looks to hit a second one on Yuta. Yuta then leap frogs out of the way and Cope almost hits Harwood, but stops his momentum. Yuta then hits a Busaiku Knee on Harwood for the win.

Wheeler then asks Harwood what he’s doing as Harwood grabs a couple of chairs from ringside and sets Cope’s head up on one. Harwood then picks up the second one and hands it to Wheeler. Wheeler then tosses it aside and shoves Harwood, then helps Cope up. FTR then hits a Shatter Machine on Cope, then hit an assisted piledriver on him on top of the chair. Harwood then lays Cope’s head on the chair and grabs the second one, but Wheeler grabs it from him and hits two Con-Chair-Tos on Cope. FTR then mocks Cope with a neck brace and heads up the ramp as Cope is loaded onto a stretcher.

The match starts off with both women locking up. Storm then hits a crossbody on Bayne off the middle rope, but Bayne hits a bodyslam on Storm and follows it up with a Fallaway Slam. Bayne then flies through the middle rope with a tope suicida on Luther, but Storm catches her with a Tornado DDT off Luther’s back and follows it up with a crossbody on Bayne off the middle rope back inside the ring.
Bayne then delivers some shoulders on Storm’s midsection, then hits a chop on her in the corner and follows it up with a splash in the corner. Bayne then hits a suplex on Storm and follows it up with a couple of clotheslines before using her leg to jam Storm’s neck into the middle rope. Ford then takes a cheap shot at Storm and Bayne hits a couple of belly-to-belly suplexes on Storm.
Luther then gets Ford up on his shoulders and drags her to the back and Storm delivers some right hands on Bayne in the center of the ring. Storm then cinches in a submission on Bayne, but Bayne responds with a German suplex on Storm using the bottom rope for extra leverage.
Bayne then steps over Storm, but Storm hits Bayne with a German suplex off the middle rope. Storm then delivers some right hands on Bayne, but Bayne hits a German suplex on Storm. Storm then hits a suplex of her own on Bayne, then follows it up with a Hip Attack. Bayne then counters into a back body drop on Storm, then follows it up with a jumping clothesline and sends Storm crashing into the mat. The match starts off with Kyle Fletcher hitting a boot on Mark Briscoe as soon as he gets in the ring. Mark then rolls up Fletcher, but Fletcher kicks out and Mark hits a T-Bone suplex on Fletcher. Fletcher then superkicks Mark on the apron, but Mark responds with a back body drop. Mark then grabs several chairs and looks to use them as launch pads, but the referee keeps taking them from him. Fletcher then hits a Snap Dragon Suplex on Mark on the chair and delivers some right hands on him in the corner.
Fletcher then sends Mark crashing off the apron with a boot, then powerbombs him onto the ring apron and the barricade. Mark then bites Fletcher as both men teeter on the ropes and Mark dropkicks Fletcher. Fletcher then delivers some chops on Mark and both men nail one another with forearms. Mark then hits a suplex on Fletcher, but Fletcher responds with a Brainbuster and goes for a pin. Mark then kicks out and hits a Razor’s Edge on Fletcher off the middle rope. Mark then goes for a pin, but Fletcher kicks out. Mark then hits an elbow drop on Fletcher and pins him once again, but Fletcher kicks out.
Mark then hits a Death Valley Driver on Fletcher, but Fletcher responds with a couple of boots on Mark. Fletcher then hits a Brainbuster on Mark for the win.

The match starts off with Chris Jericho delivering some right hands and chops on Bandido. Bandido then flies through the middle rope to land on Jericho on the outside and sends him crashing into two of the barricades. Bandido then hits a delayed vertical suplex on Jericho, but Jericho powerbombs Bandido onto the floor and follows it up with a back suplex in the ring.
Bandido then hits a DDT on Jericho, but Jericho climbs up the ropes. Bandido then hits Jericho with a powerbomb, but Jericho delivers some right hands on Bandido as both men teeter on the ropes. Bandido then hits Jericho with a Gorilla Press. Bandido then follows it up with a Frog Splash and goes for a pin, but Jericho kicks out and rolls up Bandido. Bandido then kicks out, but Jericho locks in The Walls of Jericho on him. Bandido then crawls over to the bottom rope to break the submission hold.
Gravity then begins brawling with Bryan Keith on the entrance ramp as Jericho grabs his bat. Jericho then cracks it over Bandido’s head and hides it behind the ring steps, then pins Bandido for the win.

After the match, Bandido’s mother, sister and brother Gravity enters the ring and hugs him before Bryce Remsburg gives Bandido the ROH World Title belt.
We then get a video package and the entrances of the next match of the PPV, which is an AEW TNT Championship No Time Limit, No Outside Interference Match.
The match starts off with both men locking up. Both men then trade forearms with one another, but Garcia delivers some right hands on Cole. Cole then sends Garcia crashing out of the ring, then looks to hit the Panama Sunrise off the apron. Cole’s knee then gives out and Garcia dropkicks him into a barricade.
Both men then get back inside the ring and Garcia wears down Cole with a double knee submission. Garcia then hits a Dragon Screw on Cole, but Cole delivers some right hands on Garcia’s midsection and follows it up with a series of twisting neck-breakers. Cole then rolls up Garcia, but Garcia kicks out and hits a piledriver on Cole. Garcia then exposes his knee, then exchanges strikes with Cole. Cole and Garcia then hit boots on one another before Garcia cinches in an Ankle Lock on Cole.
Cole then crawls over to the bottom rope to break the hold and the action spills out of the ring. Cole then delivers a forearm on Garcia and follows it up with a Brainbuster on him on top of the ring steps. Cole then hits a Panama City Sunrise on Garcia and sends him back in the ring. Garcia then rolls up Cole, but Cole kicks out. Cole then grabs onto his knee, but Garcia drags him up the ropes. Cole then fights Garcia off, then hits him a couple of Panama City Sunrises and exposes his knee. Cole the hits The Boom on Garcia for the win.

After the match, Cole celebrates and offers his hand to Garcia. A dejected Garcia then pulls himself off the mat, shakes Cole’s hand and points at him. Garcia then heads to the back, while Cole continues his celebration.
We then get a video package and the entrances of the next match of the PPV, which is an AEW International Championship 3-Way Match.
The match starts off with Ricochet jumping out of the ring. Omega and Speedball then lock up, but Ricochet slides back in the ring. Omega then pulls Ricochet back out of the ring under the bottom rope, then climbs to the top and hits a crossbody on Speedball. Omega then cinches in a Fujiwara Armbar on Ricochet, but Ricochet grabs the rope to escape. Speedball then hits a hurricanrana on Omega on the outside, but Ricochet looks to fly over the top to land on Omega and Speedball. Omega and Speedball then see Ricochet coming and double team on him before Speedball drapes Omega across one of the barricades and drags Ricochet on top of it. Ricochet then gets Speedball up on his shoulders and hits him on top of Omega with a Death Valley Driver.
Ricochet then dropkicks Omega under the bottom rope, but Speedball hits a chop on him. Ricochet then returns the favor and hits a couple of backbreakers on Speedball and a kick on Omega. Omega then delivers some chops on Ricochet in the corner, but Ricochet flies through the ropes to land on Speedball and Omega. Speedball then returns Ricochet to the ring and hits a kick on his midsection and a Scissor Kick on his spine. Speedball then sets up for a standing Shooting Star Press, but Ricochet avoids it.
Omega then takes Speedball down and pins both Speedball and Ricochet. Ricochet and Speedball both kick out and Ricochet is sent crashing out of the ring. Omega then hits a chop on Speedball and both men trade strikes with one another before Omega nails Speedball with a chop. Omega then flies over the top rope to land o Speedball and Ricochet on the outside, but Ricochet flies over the top to land on Omega and Speedball on the outside. Speedball then follows suit with the other two men, then rolls up Omega. Omega. then kicks out and Speedball hits a standing moonsault on Omega before following it up with a roundhouse kick and going for a pin. Ricochet then pulls the referee away to break the fall, but Speedball looks to hit a moonsault on him on the apron. Ricochet then moves out of the way and spears Speedball, but accidentally hits the referee as well.
Ricochet then delivers some right hands on Omega as both men teeter on the ropes, then bites him. Speedball then joins the other two on the ropes and hits a hurricanrana on Ricochet and joins Omega on the ropes. Omega then pulls Speedball off and sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle face first, then hits a Snap Dragon suplex on him and a second one on Ricochet. Omega then hits a double Snap Dragon suplex on Ricochet and Speedball before hitting V-Triggers on both men and setting up for the One Winged Angel on Ricochet. Ricochet then escapes, but Omega hits another Snap Dragon suplex on Ricochet.
Speedball then hits a roundhouse kick on Omega. Omega the locks in a Knee Bar on Speedball, but Ricochet hits a 450 Splash off the top rope on Omega and Speedball. Ricochet then hits Vertigo on Speedball and pins him, but Speedball kicks out and nails Omega with a roundhouse kick. Ricochet then hits a Shooting Star Press on Omega off the top rope and pins him, but Omega kicks out. Speedball then hits a jumping push kick on Ricochet, then goes for a pin but Omega breaks the fall. Speedball and Ricochet then teeter on the ropes, but Omega joins them and hits a One Winged Angel on Ricochet off the middle rope for the win.

After the match, Kazuchika Okada’s music plays while Omega is celebrating his win. Okada then makes his way out and heads to the ring. Okada then goes face-to-face with Omega and Omega leaves the ring. Omega then turns and holds up his championship before heading backstage. Okada then quickly leaves the ring and holds up the AEW Continental Championship belt on the ramp before going backstage.
We then get a video package and the entrances of the main event of the PPV, which is an AEW World Championship Match.
The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Both men then take turns locking one another in submission holds, but Moxley knocks Strickland out of the ring and jams his boot into his head on top of the ring steps. Moxley then sends Strickland crashing into the adjacent set of ring steps, then sends him crashing over the commentary desk and delivers some right hands on him as he lays on the ring steps and bites him.
Moxley then hits a DDT on Strickland on top of the ring steps, then hits a Piledriver on him back in the ring and goes for a pin. Strickland then kicks out, but Moxley continues biting Strickland’s head and wears him down with a submission hold. Strickland then delivers some right hands on Moxley, but Moxley wears down Strickland with a Triangle. Strickland then escapes by powerbombing Moxley, then hits a vertical suplex on him before hitting Moxley with a couple of House Calls.
Prince Nana then gets in the ring, but Marina Shafir hits him with Moxley’s briefcase containing the AEW World Championship across his spine. Strickland then sends Moxley crashing into the mat, but Moxley grabs a ladder from under the ring and sets it up next to one of the announce desk. Strickland the sends Moxley crashing through the commentary desk with a meteora off the ladder.
Moxley and Strickland then get back inside the ring and Moxley looks to hit Strickland with a chair. Moxley then accidentally hits the referee and Strickland sends Moxley crashing into the mat. “Hangman” Adam Page then makes his way down to the ring, but PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta all blindside him with an attack. The Opps then make their way down to the ring to even the odds and brawl with the rest of The Death Riders and Page up the ramp and to the back.
Strickland then climbs up the ropes and hits a Swerve Stomp on Moxley off the top, but the lights go out. When they come back on, The Young Bucks are standing in the middle of the ring and they hit a BTE Trigger on Strickland. Moxley then pins Strickland for the win.
The winner and still the AEW World Champion, The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley!
After the match, Jon Moxley stands tall and celebrates and AEW Dynasty comes to a close.
