Miro made a strong impact when he joined AEW during the pandemic, but he recently parted ways with the company after securing his release. Since then, fans have been wondering if Miro would make his return to WWE and now it appears there is genuine interest on WWE’s part to sign him again.

According to a report by WrestleVotes Radio, it was noted that WWE is interested in bringing back Miro to the company. While no deal is currently in place and it’s not expected to be imminent, sources believe an agreement could be reached by the end of 2025.

Miro joined AEW in September 2020, earning a seven-figure salary, with his original contract set to expire in the spring of 2022. However, he signed a four-year extension, and that kept him under contract until 2026. He eventually requested his release last year and was granted the same back in February.

Following his AEW departure, Miro made his in-ring return as he faced off against AAA Mega Champion Alberto Del Río at Qatar Pro Wrestling event held on February 22nd in Doha, Qatar. This was also his first match in well over 14 months and only made fans want to see him in WWE even more.

If Miro returns to WWE, it would be a big moment for fans who remember his success as Rusev, especially during the popular Rusev Day era. His character was one of the most naturally beloved in WWE at the time, and it will be interesting to see how the company would use him if he makes a comeback.
