Mandy Rose has gone through a lot since leaving WWE in December 2022, but she is still proud of everything she achieved in the company. Rose recently tried to call out WWE for ignoring her accomplishments but it appears her comments didn’t go as planned and ended up backfiring in a big way.
A fan on Twitter complained that WWE is ignoring its own history and treating fans like they don’t remember things. They said Mandy Rose was actually the first women’s double champion and told others not to be fooled. The fan also made it clear that they weren’t trying to insult Stephanie Vaquer, saying she is great but not the first to do it.
“I like when @WWE tries to pretend that their own history doesn’t exist. Or that we’re all stupid or something. @mandysacs was the 1st women’s double champion, don’t let them fool you. And that’s no knock at Steph she’s great. She’s just not the 1st.”
Mandy Rose replied by laughing and agreeing that it was quite pathetic of WWE to erase her accomplishment. She thanked the fan for recognizing her and said she appreciated it, as she said, “Haha yea it’s pretty pathetic isn’t it!! Thanks for the recognition tho! Appreciate you!!”
However, her response backfired when she received a Community Note correcting her. It clarified that she was never technically a double champion since the NXT UK Women’s Championship was retired and merged with the NXT Women’s Championship after she won it. While being corrected publicly may have been embarrassing, the note itself was fairly mild.
Even though the correction wasn’t harsh, it still publicly proved Mandy Rose wrong, which led to mixed reactions. Some fans supported her, saying she should still get credit for unifying the titles, while others made fun of her for trying to change the facts. Regardless, it’s in Rose’s best interest to not try to call out WWE over such incorrect information.
