John Cena’s heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber already had fans talking, but now Ric Flair is making it clear—he’s not letting Cena walk away with the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Flair took to Twitter to reflect on the 25th anniversary of his final WWE World Championship win, recalling his legendary opponents, including Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, and Ricky Steamboat. But the real story was the message he had for Cena.
“It’s Been 25 Years Since I Won My Last, 16th World Championship, According To The @WWE . Blood, Sweat, And Tears! Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Brett Hart, Undertaker, Ricky Steamboat. The List Is Endless Of World Class Opponents. Unparalleled! My 1984 Schedule Has Actually Been Called Impossible To Perform. 60 & 90 Minute Matches!
Let’s Get Serious! @JohnCena , I Love You And Respect You, But You Ain’t Taking Nothing From @CodyRhodes ! If I Have To Fight My Way Through Security To Hit The Ring, I Will. I’ll Take The Day Off Of Blood Thinners. LFG! Let’s Do This!,” Flair wrote.
Cena is set to challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41, with The Rock standing in his corner. Flair’s threat to “fight his way through security” raises questions about whether he’ll actually get involved in the match.
Flair isn’t the only one speaking up about Cena’s turn. Former WWE Superstar Ryback also commented, claiming he warned fans years ago that Cena would eventually embrace the dark side.
With WrestleMania approaching, Flair’s words could mean more than just talk. Will he actually show up and make good on his threat? Let us know what you think in the comments!
