Matt Riddle parted ways with WWE back in 2023 but he made sure 2024 would turn out to be a solid year for him, as he competed in various wrestling promotions, including Major League Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling and more. Interestingly enough, Riddle has now claimed credit for indie events selling out.

While speaking to Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, Matt Riddle talked about his run in the independent circuit. The King of Bros made it clear he takes pride in drawing big crowds.

Riddle claimed that every show he has been part of since his WWE release has sold out, no matter what people say online. He added that if he is booked for a show, it usually sells out, and he hasn’t been on a non-sold-out event in over a year.

“I will say, though, that one thing I pride myself on is that I draw one hell of a house. I was in Pennsylvania the other day, and yes, you do. Every show I’ve been on since my release has been sold out—every single one. I don’t care what the internet or Twitter says. If I’m booked on a show, it usually sells out. And honestly, I don’t think I’ve been on a show that hasn’t sold out in over a year. So, you know, food for thought.”

The King of Bros also signed a deal with Major League Wrestling last year, ensuring he will remain a big part of the independent circuit for the foreseeable future. However, while he claimed credit for selling out all the indie shows he has been on, Riddle still felt the need to defend himself after getting backlash for no showing some indie events.

Matt Riddle is definitely confident in his skills and drawing power but there is no legitimacy to his claim. Regardless, Riddle will continue to do what he feels is best for his career and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
