Tiffany Stratton has the WWE Universe behind her in a big way since cashing in her Women’s Money in the Bank contract and winning the title. On the February 14 episode of SmackDown, WWE had an interesting Valentine’s Day gift for Tiffy Time at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Charlotte Flair won the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble match, and while she hasn’t picked her opponent yet, many fans have pegged Tiffany Stratton as her choice. The Queen was certainly in the building this week to see how things went.
The WWE Women’s Championship was on the line this week. Tiffany Stratton vs. “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax was quite a draw, and it also gave the former champion another crack at the title that Tiffy took from her.
The Women’s Title match started off the third hour of SmackDown this week. With 42 days as champion under her belt, Tiffany Stratton was set to face her biggest challenge yet. They also showed Charlotte Flair watching from backstage.
This match was emotion-filled and brutal from the get-go, and the two battled through a commercial break. Tiffany Stratton threw everything she had at Nia Jax to keep her challenger down, as she maintained control, but Jax kept kicking out of everything she threw at her.
Nia Jax then took control of the match, but Tiffany Stratton wouldn’t budge. Stratton fought back to nail a double stomp off the top rope for a very close near fall. Tiffy climbed back on top, but Nia stopped her. Then they fought on the top turnbuckle for a bit before Stratton took a huge Samoan Drop off the top rope for a two count.
After Tiffany Stratton kicked out of a huge leg drop off the ropes, they went to a second commercial break. As we came back, Stratton moved out of the way, so Jax took the post that sent her outside. Stratton then climbed up and nailed a moonsault from the top to the outside. This was followed by a picture-perfect swanton bomb on the inside for a two count.
Nia Jax missed her banzai drop, and Tiffany Stratton returned fire with a spinebuster. Then Candice LeRae caused a disqualification when Stratton was going for another move in her rally. This left Stratton open for a post-matched beatdown from Nia Jax.
Suddenly, Trish Stratus jumped in the ring, and she laid out Candice LeRae, but Nia Jax was able to squash the WWE Hall of Famer in the corner. Then Nia Jax finished off the segment with a leg drop as WWE officials told her to get out of the ring.
Suddenly, Charlotte Flair made her way out as Nia Jax and Candice LeRae were leaving. Flair got in the ring, and she stood over Tiffany Stratton before taking a chair and sitting down to address her. Flair mocked Tiffany Stratton for taking a beatdown, saying “sit up if you can, Tiffy.” Then she announced that “The Queen chooses you. I’ll see you at WrestleMania.”
We will have to see what is next for this storyline, but it seems that Trish Stratus is a part of this storyline now. Only time will tell what kind of unexpected turns we have on the road to WrestleMania 41 at this point.
