Tonight’s WWE NXT airing January 28, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. The show sees WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions “The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair and Naomi defend their titles against Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson). Plus, Trick Williams faces Wes Lee in a singles match.

WWE NXT Results (1/28/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Vic Joseph, Corey Graves and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T welcoming us. We then get a drone shot of the venue and Vic Joseph says that Center Stage is sold out.

We then see the arrivals of A-Town Down Under, WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi, Meta-Four and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: Bayley and WWE NXT Women’s Champion “The Beautiful Madness” Giulia vs. “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade

The match starts off with Perez and Jade quickly ducking out to ringside to taunt and stall. Perez and Giulia then trade counters. Giulia then gets a two count after a rollup. Both women then trade rollup variations. Perez then drags Giulia by the hair, but Giulia counters by grabbing Perez’s hair and slamming her to the mat. Bayley then tags in. Perez then nails Bayley with a right hand and quickly ducks away to tag Cora in. Bayley then nails Cora with right hands after Cora tries to trash talk with her. Bayley then hits Cora with a basement uppercut and a lariat for a two count. Jade then escapes a draping move and drags Bayley to her corner, tagging in Perez.

Bayley then fights out of the corner with a forearm on Perez. Bayley then hits Perez with a draping meteora. Giulia then tagged in. Giulia and Bayley then hit Perez and Jade with clotheslines and suplexes. Perez then sends both Giulia and Bayley to ringside and hits them both with a crossbody. Jade then hits Bayley and Giulia with a top rope cannonball. Perez and Jade then taunts the crowd.

Bayley then climbs to the top rope, but Jade knocks her off with a knee and delivers some stomps on her as Perez nails some right hands on her while the referee isn’t looking. Jade then tags back in and Perez hits a moonsault on Bayley. Bayley then hits the Bayley-To-Belly on Perez, then tags in Giulia. Giulia then hits a belly-to-belly suplex on Perez, then follows it up with a boot as she charges at her in the corner and nails her with a dropkick off the ropes. Jade then looks to hit a forearm on Giulia, but accidentally hits Perez. Giulia then nails Jade with a headbutt and tags in Bayley. Bayley then hits an elbow drop on Jade for the win.

We then get a promo vignette by Eddy Thorpe. Thorpe talks about proving why he belongs. Thorpe then says he heard the voices of his ancestors. Thorpe then says a responsibility of any man is to exercise his mind and suffering. Thorpe then talks about how he put obstacles in front of himself to strengthen. Thorpe then says his destiny is not a matter of chance and he will make his mark in NXT. Thorpe then says he cannot be broken.

A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) are now in the middle of the ring for The Grayson Waller Effect. Waller shouts out Theory for being in his hometown and introduces Oba Femi. Femi’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring.

Waller welcomes Femi to “The Grayson Waller Effect” and Theory says that while some see Femi as a future main roster star, he and Waller don’t. Femi then responds by telling Theory that he never saw him as an NXT Champion and he was right. Waller then gets defensive and tells Femi that he wishes he could do what he and Theory do in the ring. Theory then says that neither he or Waller are in NXT and are on RAW and him and Waller have travelled around the world creating unforgettable moments. Femi then challenges either Waller or Theory to a match for his NXT Championship at NXT Vengeance.

NXT General Manager Ava then appears at ringside and Trick Williams follows behind her. Williams then stares Femi down, then takes down A-Town Down Under. Femi then powerbombs Williams. Oba Femi then posed over Trick with the NXT Championship.

We then see Sarah Schreiber interviewing Izzi Dame in the crowd and asks her what is going on between her and Tony D’Angelo. Izzi says nothing. Izzi then says she just had common enemies with Tony D in Shawn Spears. Ridge Holland then shows up and calls Izzi a liar. Stacks then cuts in and tells Ridge to not talk to a lady like that. Ridge then says he doesn’t want to talk to Tony D’s lackey. Ridge then tells Stacks to go away and shine Tony’s shoes and keep the car warm. Producers then keep Ridge and Stacks apart.

Wes Lee, Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Trick Williams vs. Wes Lee

The match starts off with Wes Lee dropkicking Trick Williams. Williams then delivers some right and left hands on Lee, but Lee looks to fly off the ropes. Williams then catches him, but Lee escapes and delivers some right hands on Williams. Lee then hits a low crossbody on Williams, then knocks him out of the ring and follows it up with a meteora off the apron and onto the announce desk.

Lee then sends Williams back in the ring and delivers some elbows on him as he has a modified Abdominal Stretch cinched in on him. He then nails a couple forearms on him, then locks in a Camel Clutch. Lee then trips Williams, then hits a roundhouse kick on his face and a forearm on the back of his neck.

Lee then cinches in a Half Boston Crab on Williams, but Williams escapes and delivers some right and left hands on Lee. Williams then follows it up with a bodyslam and a back body drop, then sends him crashing into the mat spine first and drags Dupont into the ring. Williams then beats him down, then sends Lee on top of Dupont on the outside and hits a right hand on him back in the ring. Williams then grabs a chair as the official tries to get Williams calmed down, but Williams doesn’t listen and the revere disqualifies him.

We then head to Ava’s office as NXT Champion Oba Femi walks in. Ava informs Femi that he will be defending his NXT Championship against both Grayson Waller and Austin Theory at Vengeance Day.

Ava was looking for Trick backstage. Ava then barges into the men’s locker room, which freaked out the men. Ava berates Trick for trying to get involved in the Waller Effect segment when he didn’t have to. Trick then wonders what Waller and Theory ever did to deserve a title shot. Ava then says Trick has a chance to prove they don’t deserve anything. Ava then books Trick and Oba vs. A-Town Down for next week.

We then get the entrances of the next match of the night, which is a WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Match.

WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley (c) vs Shotzi

The match starts off with Shotzi hitting a hurricanrana on Henley. Shotzi then follows it up with an enzuigiri, but Henley sends her crashing into the mat off the middle rope. Henley and Shotzi then teeter on the ropes before Shotzi hits a hurricanrana on Henley and nails her, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx with a crossbody off the top rope. Paxley and Dolin then brawl with Jayne and Nyx to the back as Henley sends Shotzi’s knee crashing into the ring post and follows it up with a chop block.

Henley then continues targeting Shotzi’s knee and jams her boot into her in the corner, then cinches in a Half Boston Crab as she wears down Shotzi’s knee. Shotzi then escapes, but Henley runs her over with a clothesline. Shotzi then returns the favor and the two stare each other down. They then exchange forearms with one another, but Shotzi nails Henley with a twisting neckbreaker and follows it up with a knee strike and a forearm. She then hits a second neckbreaker on Henley and follows it up with a suplex on her in the corner.

Henley then sends Shotzi’s knee bouncing off the announce desk, then sends her face bouncing off it. Both women then return to the ring and Shotzi rolls up Henley, but Henley kicks out and looks to hit a Curb Stomp. Shotzi then avoids it and hits Henley with a Sliced Bread out of the corner, then climbs up the ropes. Henley then stops her with a right hand and joins her on them, but Shotzi sends her crashing into the mat face first and hits a senton off the top. Shotzi then goes for a pin, but Henley kicks out. Shotzi then rolls up Henley once again, but Henley kicks out and sends Shotzi crashing into the mat. Henley then hits Shotzi with a leg drop on her spine for the win.

After the match, Stephanie Vaquer’s music hits and she appears on the entrance ramp. She then stares down Henley as Henley holds up her Women’s North American Championship.

We then see Karmen Petrovic thanking Kelani Jordan backstage for having her back. Jordan says she wasn’t helping Petrovic and only handling her own business. Jordan then says she agrees with Jaida Parker and that Petrovic should be careful about Ashante eventually leaving her ass. After Kelani leaves, Petrovic said “what a b***h!”

“All Ego” Ethan Page then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night, which is a Singles Match.

We then head to the back, where Sarah Schreiber catches up with NXT General Manager Ava and she is asked about Vengeance Day. Ava talks about NXT having the best women’s division in the world. Ava is about to announce Giulia’s Vengeance Day opponent, but was cut off by Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Perez says Bayley doesn’t deserve a title shot. Perez then says she didn’t even get her title rematch yet. Perez then says it was Cora’s fault they lost the match earlier in the show. Ava then says she was about to say that at Vengeance Day it will be Giulia defending against Bayley and Perez. Perez then says she is okay with that. Cora then yells that she isn’t okay with that. Cora then storms off.

Cedric Alexander then makes his way down to the ring.

Singles Match: “All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Cedric Alexander

The match starts off with Cedric Alexander wasting no time. Alexander delivers some right hands on Page and nails more of them on the mat, then follows it up with several knees to the side of his face in the corner and jams his boot into Page’s face. Alexander then hits a dropkick on Page and delivers more right hands on him, but Page looks to get Alexander up on his shoulders. Alexander then escapes, then nails Page with a right hand and jams his boot into his neck.

Alexander then delivers a chop on Page on the outside, but Page sends Alexander crashing into the ring apron spine first and looks to target Alexander’s hand. Alexander then fights off Page, but Page sends him crashing into the ring post. Alexander then hits a boot on Page and sends him crashing into the ring apron spine first.

Alexander then sends Page back inside the ring, but Page delivers some right hands on him and wears him down with a submission hold. Alexander then responds with a Michinoku Driver on Page. Alexander then cinches in a submission of his own on Page and the two then trade strikes with one another before Alexander hits a couple of kicks on Page and looks to fly off the ropes. Page then trips him and hits Alexander with a twisting cutter for the win.

The winner of the Singles Match, “All Ego” Ethan Page!

After the match, Page looks to continue beating Alexander down but Je’Von Evans’ music hits and he makes his way down to the ring to take Page down.

Fatal Influence is then shown backstage. Jacy Jayne cuts a promo about not forgetting about Stephanie Vaquer attacking her in the makeup chair. Jacy then says she will see Stephanie next week.

Separate shots of Meta-Four and Bianca Belair and Naomi are then shown as they were walking backstage.

We then see Josh Briggs chatting with Yoshiki Inamura at some random place that looked like a garage. Briggs thanks Inamura for making his experience in Japan one of the best experiences of his career. Briggs then gifts Inamura with a biker’s vest. Inamura then says it means a lot to them and they look like a tag team. Briggs then says one way or another they will get to Axiom and Frazer to get to the belts. Inamura then says Briggs will be a singles champion one day and nobody can touch them as a team right now.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: “The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair and Naomi (c) vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson)

The match starts off with Naomi and Jakara Jackson and both women lock up. They then exchange submission holds before Belair tags in and double teams on Jackson with Naomi. Legend then tags in and Belair nails her with a back suplex. Belair then follows it up with a standing moonsault and goes for a pin, but Legend kicks out and delivers a few knees on Belair’s oblique. Legend then hits a backbreaker and follows it up with a standing flip on Belair before the two nail one another with dropkicks and kip up.

Naomi then tags in and sends Legend crashing into the mat with Belair, then follows it up with a leg drop and delivers a few kicks on her hips. Naomi then hits a roundhouse kick on Legend, but Legend sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle face first and takes a cheap shot at Belair on the apron. Jackson then gets in a few cheap shots on Naomi as the referee is distracted by Belair and Legend.

Jackson then tags in and hits a couple of knees on Naomi. Legend then tags in and sends Jackson into Naomi, then hits a splash on her and follows it up with a standing splash. Belair then tags in and delivers some right hands on Jackson in the corner, then sends her crashing into the mat and follows it up with a moonsault. Naomi then tags in and pins Jackson, but Legend breaks the fall. Belair then gets Legend up for the KOD, but Legend escapes and sends Belair crashing onto the floor. Legend then holds the middle rope open for Jackson to fly through and land on Belair.

Legend then tags in and hits a neckbreaker-facebuster combination with Jackson on Naomi. Legend then goes for a pin, but Belair breaks the fall and spears Jackson. Legend then sends Belair crashing into the mat off her shoulders, then hits a powerbomb on Naomi. Naomi then nails Legend with an enzuigiri, but Legend runs her over with a boot and tags in Jackson. Jackson then rolls up Naomi, but Naomi reverses the fall. Jackson then kicks out and Belair tags in. Belair and Naomi then hit a double KOD on Jackson for the win.

After the match, a colored bar screen appears with the words “Vengeance Day” shown on it as the show comes to a close.
